Chapter 16 – Black Ego Awakening
Our story begins from where it ended before.
Navi –
Navi opens his eyes. A huge amount of black aura is coming out of his body, and even his eyes have turned black, making him look terrifying.
Lord Monster –
"So you're standing again? You are really stubborn."
The monster thinks that because of the curse, Navi cannot use his power. So he attacks again and throws a powerful punch at Navi's face.
Navi –
He doesn't even try to block the punch and takes it directly on his face.
The monster becomes shocked. Navi doesn't even move from his place.
Even the Monster Lord feels that the one who came before and the one standing now… are not the same being.
Sweat starts coming out of the Monster Lord's body, and fear rises in his heart. Still, he gathers courage and attacks again.
Punch after punch keeps hitting the MC, but he stands calmly. It doesn't affect him at all.
Navi –
"That's all you can do? I really thought you would be powerful. It didn't even affect me."
Hunters and monsters are shocked by what they see. Navi is unharmed.
The hunters say, "It's not that the monster is weak… it's just that Navi is far too powerful."
Navi –
He stops the monster's punch with one hand and with the other hand delivers a powerful punch to the monster's face.
The monster flies backward and crashes onto his throne, breaking it.
Monster Lord –
"Why is my head spinning? My condition became terrible from just one punch."
The small monsters watching this become shocked and say, "How did this happen?"
Navi –
He looks at all the monsters and says,
"Who gave you permission to speak in between?"
Navi –
He uses his skill. Ice-made structures burst out from the ground, killing all the small monsters standing nearby in a single moment.
They don't even get time to react. All of them die instantly.
Navi –
"When I am talking, nobody should interrupt. Okay?
Oh… there's no one left to talk now."
Monster Lord –
As he regains a little consciousness, he shouts in anger,
"My comrades, attack!"
Navi –
"Who are you talking to?"
He says with a sweet smile.
The Monster Lord looks around. His courage completely breaks.
He doesn't even realize when all his companions were killed.
The monster trembles in fear and says,
"You are cursed… you cannot attack a human like this."
Navi –
Walking forward slowly, he replies:
"You can kill me if you want… I will go.
But never hurt my ego.
My ego is dearer to me than my life.
You tried to hurt my ego…
and that has hurt me deeply."
The Monster Lord is about to say something, but before he can, Navi grabs his hand and crushes it. The monster screams in pain.
"Remember one thing," Navi says,
"Never hurt the ego of a man like me."
Saying this, Navi throws the monster out of the gate.
The Monster Lord crashes through the door of his palace and falls far away.
He is unable to even stand.
Hunter Scene –
The hunters tremble in fear and say,
"Please sir, don't kill us."
Navi –
"Why would I kill you? I just became a little emotional… that's why I went too far."
Navi uses his skill to heal them all and says with a creepy smile,
"Don't tell anyone about this. If my ego gets hurt again, there will be destruction."
The hunters reply in fear,
"Okay sir. We will do exactly as you say. We will collect all the crystals here."
Navi –
"I will take care of this monster."
Monster Lord –
"If you want to kill me, then do it. As soon as I die, the real Monster Lord will come."
Navi –
"Fine. Tell your Monster Lord that I am waiting for him."
Navi places his foot on the monster's chest, grabs his head, and tears it off brutally.
He throws the head far away.
The monster's body starts to burst apart.
Navi –
He thrusts his hand into the monster's body and pulls out the monster core.
"Now my ego has found peace."
Outside the Gate Scene –
A hunter runs to the Sky Guild Leader and the Tiger Guild Leader and says,
"Please come outside quickly! Something is happening inside the gate!"
Both leaders rush toward the gate.
What is happening inside the gate now?
Outside the Novel Scene –
Kartik is lying unconscious. Because he consumed 50 cores, he finds himself in a different place.
A dark shadow stands before him.
Dark Shadow –
"What do you want?"
Kartik –
"I cannot do what I want to do alone. I need your help."
Dark Shadow –
"Think carefully. Whatever I do, you will witness it… because I was born from you.
Think once before giving me control."
Kartik –
"…I have decided."
Dark Shadow –
"You know that I do not believe in God… I believe in the Devil."
Kartik –
"…Come. Merge into me."
Outside, Kartik is covered in black aura. The entire room fills with black aura.
Slowly, all of Kartik's wounds begin to heal.
Inside the aura, only his eyes can be seen.
