Over the next few days, Bai Yue rarely left his villa.
Talent was only a starting point. Even with the Dao Fruit as a foundation, complacency would lead nowhere. Cultivation in this world was ruthless—every step forward demanded real effort.
During this period, he met Luo Feng and Wei Wen twice. Each meeting was brief but focused. He corrected flaws in their training posture, explained breathing rhythms, and passed on a basic body-refining method he had personally summarized.
From ordinary people to quasi–martial artists, Earth lacked any truly systematic training framework. What existed was fragmented and crude. Bai Yue had pieced this method together through repeated experimentation, observation, and the Dao Fruit's subtle guidance. Results would not appear in a day or two, but the foundation mattered.
Creating martial arts techniques was notoriously difficult.
For most martial artists, it required cultivating an existing secret manual to its peak, surviving countless battles, accumulating experience, and relying on rare moments of inspiration to refine and revise—sometimes over decades—before a mature technique emerged.
Bai Yue did not need decades.
Thanks to the Dao Fruit's unique properties, once he set a clear direction, he could continuously iterate toward it. Errors were corrected immediately. Inefficiencies were eliminated. Combined with his enhanced comprehension, progress accumulated steadily until the technique naturally took shape.
The body-refining method he gave Luo Feng and Wei Wen was one example.
The Six Body Techniques were another.
Those techniques were inspired by the "Six Powers" concept from his previous life, reconstructed using force application principles he had personally validated through cultivation. The form differed, but the end result—enhanced movement, defense, and explosive strength—was comparable.
On Earth, due to incomplete inheritances and the short development of martial civilization, most secret manuals focused purely on attack. In the broader universe, those same principles extended to defense, agility, and survival.
"The fourth layer of World Annihilation I deduced shouldn't be inferior to the original," Bai Yue thought calmly.
This was not arrogance.
He had officially exchanged only for the third layer at the Dojo of Limits. Cultivating the fourth layer on his own did not violate any rules—it was the result of accumulated insight. Over the past six months, every use of World Annihilation had been permanently solidified by the Dao Fruit. Inspiration layered upon inspiration.
A month earlier, after finally mastering the third layer, Bai Yue had encountered a familiar problem—no follow-up technique to train.
On the internal Dojo of Limits platform, the first four layers of World Annihilation were priced at fifteen billion hua xia coins, discounted to 7.5 billion with sufficient authority—along with four-star contribution points.
Even ignoring contribution requirements, the price alone was laughable.
Buying the first three layers had already drained his savings, and that was only possible because the Martial Arts Academy had subsidized him heavily due to his performance.
"My deduction of the fifth layer has slowed," Bai Yue reflected. "I need more reference material."
With that thought, he headed downstairs and powered on the computer.
He logged into the Dojo of Limits internal website and opened the secret manual section. A dense catalog unfolded before him. World Annihilation. Nine Heavy Thunder Blade. Names that inspired awe—and prices that inspired despair.
"…Unbelievable."
Then another thought surfaced.
"I don't just have to buy. I can upload."
Based on market standards, the Six Body Techniques each filled a clear niche. Iron Block, in particular, provided a defensive method that Earth lacked—limited to roughly fourfold defense enhancement, but still invaluable. Moon Step was even more extreme, allowing martial artists below the Planetary level to achieve short-distance aerial movement—a true lifesaving technique.
Bai Yue acted immediately.
He organized the techniques into complete volumes, carefully reviewing every detail. Since the drafts already existed on his communicator, compilation was efficient.
After an hour, he paused, then decided to include the basic body-refining technique as well.
The deduced fourth layer of World Annihilation was excluded—for now.
Half an hour later, he uploaded seven techniques to the platform.
With that done, he returned to the marketplace.
His balance: just over 900 million.
"…I'll have to settle for cheaper ones."
After careful selection, he purchased the first four layers of Nine Heavy Thunder Blade, costing 250 million thanks to his two-star contribution authority. He added seven lower-tier secret manuals as references.
Total cost: 620 million hua xia coins.
Watching his balance plummet, Bai Yue exhaled slowly.
"Money really doesn't last."
Hong Ning Base City.
Dojo of Limits Global Headquarters.
Inside the massive headquarters spacecraft, a staff member knocked on an office door.
"Come in."
"Manager," the staff member reported, "a martial artist from Jiangnan Base City has just uploaded seven techniques."
"Seven?" The manager frowned. "Which God of War?"
"Not a God of War," the staff member replied. "Name: Bai Yue. Martial artist for half a year. Current certified rank: Low-level God of War. Recommended for the Elite Training Camp."
The manager froze.
"…A genius?"
He immediately accessed the backend and opened one of the submissions—Moon Step.
After reading the opening description, he stood up abruptly.
He skimmed the remaining techniques. With each one, his expression grew more intense.
"If these descriptions are accurate… their value is enormous."
"You may leave," he said quickly. "I'll report this to the Inspector immediately."
Moments later, he stood before Inspector Wang.
"A rare talent," Inspector Wang said after reviewing the files. "This deserves attention. Come with me—we'll inform the Head Curator."
The manager's breath quickened.
Even at headquarters, meeting Hong was no small matter.
