In the dusk, the sun was setting in the North. Painting the city in gentle orange light. The air slowly cooling down from the days intense heat.
Deborah and Alex could seen walking side by side while munching on a basket of meat balls. They were walking to Deborah's home which, Alex has unceremoniously occupied as his 'Money Saving Period Cool down Spot'...
"Yo, Deborah, you saw how I handled that guy today? Dude was so pathetic man! Like, he came to cause trouble because some girls he doesn't know about was paying attention to another guy! Just how pathetic can people get!? Lol!"
"Hmm, you did well. You could have escalated the situation but you used confusion. And you did so by using yourself as the weapon... yet in a way where people would praise you instead. Not make fun of you because how cringe you were."
Deborah said with a calm tone. He took a meat ball from the basket Alex was holding and put it into his mouth.
People passed by and many females waved at Alex with a shy smile. Cheeks flushed. Some even stopped to take selfies with Alex but added Deborah as plus one.
...Deborah was not happy.
"What the fuck dude? Your face looks like your holding in shit. You need to visit the washroom or somethin'?"
Alex asked. Making Deborah's forehead Vein bulge in frustration.
"Can you not add your messed up analogy every time you speak? Why would you even say that in a public place? Do you not care about the image you have built? What if someone exposes you!?"
Deborah hissed at Alex.
"I genuinely don't care bro. I don't even understand why those girls are so crazy over me. I know I'm good looking but not enough to get the reaction I'm getting now."
Alex just shrugged his shoulders. Then paused for a second. Gulped down the meat ball and leaned closer to Deborah's ears.
"And I think these girls have messed up beauty standards man! Think! Your such a good looking guy! They don't even look at you! ... I think it is the fault of the world bro. Nothing we can do other then move on..."
Alex moved back and popped another meat ball inside his mouth.
Deborah gazed at Alex how was slightly walking ahead. Looking around. Probably trying to find another food truck. Deborah bit his lips in frustration. He wanted to lash out at Alex but he knew that this idiot genuinely believed he wasn't that good looking.
Deborah massaged his temples when Alex turned to him. Gesturing him to catch up. Deborah just sighed and decided to let go of all the jealousy and the emotional baggage.
The idiot infront of him was too uncaring to care about petty feelings anyway.

Suddenly, the badge inside Deborah pocket beeped. He took it out and a holographic projection popped out. Displaying many words. Alex saw it and frowned. Another language he didn't know. Although Alex had started to learn the main languages, he still doesn't know much about regional languages.
"Alright smooth brain. I have a mission I need to take care. Go home and don't you DARE step into my kitchen. I will kick you out immediately!"
With that, Deborah gently slammed the badge onto his chest and shining obsidian colour suit started to form on Deborah's body. Alex watched in awe. He saw Deborah fly towards the Sea. Leaving him standing. Hand mid way to his mouth with a meat ball. Feeling extreme envy.

Deborah landed just out side of the city. It was deserted place devoid of people. He watched as many others with battle suits marching towards two massive sand creatures battling. One looked like a serpent and other a porcupine with turtle head.
"Woooaaaahhh!!! Holy shit man!! That's so sick!! You left me to watch this!? I'm hurt!!"
The battle shook the land and the person beside him shook his mind.
"What are you doing here?"
Deborah asked Alex with a deadpan expression. Alex looked at him for a second before returning his gaze to the fight.
"I came to watch of course! And for context, I came here before you thank you very much! So I should be the one asking, what are you doing here? This is my space!"
... Deborah unable to follow Alex's line of thoughts turned his attention back to the fight.
[The troops are stationed and ready for command, Captain Deckraim! Please issue the next command!]
A soldier said.
"Hold the line for now. Let them exhaust their energy. Then we strike."
Deborah said calmly.
[Yes sir!]
The soldier replied back.
"How frequent is this bro? And how strong do you think are they? E-Rank?"
"Are you crazy? They are at least B-Rank! I need to be at least serious if I take on both if them at once! And though monsters coming near the shore isn't common. It's not rare either. Things like happens quite few times in a year."
Deborah said flatly. Alex looked at him with a sly smile. Leaned forward to look at Deborah's face teasingly.
"Ehhh... aren't ya flexing your power way too much Deborah? Come on man. I know things or two as well. Size doesn't matter in ranking, power does. Although both Grand Serpent and Turtle-Porcupine are nearly five hundred meters tall, they don't have any special ability besides that. And I even say the data by the IMRB (International Monster Ranking Beorow). They recorded the both as E-Rank monster."
Alex said while watching the fight quickly putting in meat balls even before he finished the previous one in excitement.
"That's the International standards. But here, we rank them differently. Like anything in life. Size matters as in this reason, the Natural Energy is very thin. So monsters with special ability is very rare. So we just Rank them based on their size and destructive potential."
Deborah explained. Feeling a bit validated but it didn't last long.
"Ohhh! Dammmnnnn!!! Those suits are sick!! They pulled out Wonder Womens rope!!! Fuck yeah!!"
Alex was jumping like an excited child seeing the soldiers finally act when the conditions for Deborah's orders were meet. They created energy ropes through their armour and entangled both monsters with them. All of the soldiers moving in coordination.
After that, the pulled the ropes and restrained the monsters.
RRRAAAAWAAaahhaaah!!!
They scream and tried to break free but the soldiers didn't budge. Their jets firing relentlessly.
One soldier pulled out a asymmetric metal bar that turned into gold bladed axe. Another a small hilt that turned into a sword. Bot weapon were in the colour of the ropes.
Golden.
The soldiers with axe slashed at the Grand Serpents and slit its throat. The soldier with sword beheaded the Turtle-Porcupine. Blood splashed our like fountain. Both monsters thrashed and tried to move. But the soldiers pulled even harder. Few moments later, the monsters stopped moving. And the solders started to dismantle them as well. Few trucks arrived and went near the battle field.
The monster carcasses were being loaded into the trucks.
At that moment, Alex who was looking at the scene like he watches porn, suddenly heard jet sound and saw Deborah looking down on him while flying.
"Go home smooth brain. I need to take care of some official matters. Order some food. I will be late."
Before Alex could reply he shot towards the monsters. Alex's green eyes turned darker shade of green with envy as he watched Deborah and others fly in the battle suit.
He couldn't get his hands on those because it was military stuff. He can't join military forces because he wants to go Japan and is saving money for. He heard that people there can buy suits like those if they are willing to pay for it.
'Another reason to visit Japan!'
Alex felt fired up and he went home planning ways to make more money.
