So, most of the scions usually took Epic trials. Some brave ones took Supreme trials and those who were really confident in their abilities took Extreme trials.
This guy was termed as weak but even he must have passed an Epic trial to reach here. Not to mention he had successfully fused with their legacy bloodline given his hair colour.
Every super clan had a legacy bloodline which was one of the strongest bloodlines present on Earth right now.
These bloodlines were of Cataclysmic potential, just two grades below Annihilator. They might also have someone with a higher level bloodline but it was not known.
Slowly the scion was crowded by those who seemed to have been the focus due to coming from some influential families before he arrived. It was obvious what they all were thinking, forming a bond with him and possibly joining his team.
Well, now the main issue for kael was , should he look for teammates or not? He had come here specifically for knowledge and forming a workable team for his first expedition.
Just as he thought that his eyes went to the girl he had seen today. She was standing alone and no one was approaching her.
The reason was simple. From the moment she arrived here, she had ignored everyone. Those who tried just left red-faced.
"Alright everyone, welcome to Hope Academy."
A soft voice echoed through the open space as a woman appeared above them, flying without any support.
"My name is Aelith. Nice to meet you all. The date of the Genesis vortex opening is decided. It will be two weeks later for this month.
I can also see that you all are excited to form teams. Let's make that easier for you. How about you all separate yourself into the grade of trials you have taken?
Of course if you want to hide it, it's your choice but you do know that the Academy provides bloodlines according to your trial and it's totally free."
Kael was surprised. He didn't know about this. Well there were many things he didn't know about.
Some of the Latents became happy hearing that. Getting a good bloodline was as important as getting a good trait.
In fact it was best to get a bloodline which worked in tandem with your trait to get the best result.
"For you guys to decide better let me tell you the rewards.
For Normal trial takers, they will get Dire potential bloodlines.
For Rare trial takers, they will get Dreadborn bloodlines.
For Epic trial takers, it's Calamitous.
And for those, if any have given Supreme trial then you will get Cataclysmic, same as the super clan scions.
After that you are able to fuse with it or not is up to your capabilities."
Failure in bloodline infusion wouldn't kill you but if you weren't able to fuse with a bloodline in the first attempt then you could never fuse with that bloodline again.
Not to mention it also spoiled that bloodline as it couldn't be used again once it left your body and the bloodline's did leave your body through the same wound you created using the Bloodline Acquisition Crystal.
The Latents became excited, especially those who had given Epic trials. If they could get a free bloodline of Calamitous potential then it would be immensely beneficial for them.
"So, I hope you all have decided... be aware we have a way to judge if you are lying or not later so if you are found lying then consequences will be dire. First those who are Normal grade come to this side..."
Kael watched as lots of Latents moved to the left. Then Rare in the middle and lastly Epic on the right side.
There were about 120 Normal, 50 Rare, and 11 Epic.
Only four Latents were left without mentioning their trials. Him, the purple-haired girl and a pair of a burly boy and a beautiful girl who were standing close to each other.
"I guess no Supreme trial takers then? Well it was expected. Alright then now that you have seen each other it will be easier to decide whom to associate yourself with.
Nonetheless, you still have two weeks. So you have a lot of time to know each other. Tomorrow your lectures will start. This short two-week course is very important so you better pay attention while attending as it will teach about all the essential needs of being a ranker. Let's meet tomorrow now."
The woman left and Kael sighed. He doubted anyone would want to team with those who were even afraid to tell their trials.
Just as he was thinking he felt his blood boil again. He sighed. This happened only when... He looked to his left and the purple haired girl just passed shyly away from his location.
Now this was definitely getting weirder than he imagined it to be. Oh well whatever, he would stay in this academy only till he got all the knowledge he needed and reached the Awakened state.
Becoming Awakened was a must for a Latent or their core would vanish again.
So even if he didn't want to, he had to go to a corrupted world.
Once he got Awakened he would just kill monsters on Earth and earn his living. All rankers were rich and it wouldn't be long before he became one too.
....
Lectures were boring but informative so he attended them with full attention.
The topic of the lecture was vortexes. He only knew that vortexes were used to go to the corrupted world but today he learnt how they were formed and which vortex was best for rookies like them.
There were two types of vortexes. One was Genesis Vortexes and the other was Corruption Vortexes.
Both vortexes had only one role, to act as a bridge between two worlds.
Their formation was a little different though. Corruption Vortexes were formed by the corrupted worlds. While Genesis Vortexes were formed by gathering corrupted or Genesis cores.
They would be taking a Genesis vortex to enter a corrupt world as it was far safer than Corruption Vortexes.
