After an eight-hour carriage ride, they arrived at the city of Emerald Fortress, where the main residence of the Duchy of Bamira was located.
The city was a circular fortress three times the size of the city of Jolan, with scattered roads, houses of various sizes, squares, gardens, and markets bustling with people of different ethnicities.
The city gate was made of iron and decorated with the Bamira family crest, a black phoenix inside a purple circle.
The carriages were lined up one after the other to enter the city—traders, visitors, and citizens of all races: elves, humans, dwarfs, and subhumans.
Inside the carriage…
Rosa smiled kindly."I think we're finally here… Thank you so much for your kindness."
She bowed her head, and Lara did the same.
Bulkan hesitated, surprised."No, no, please don't do that. We were heading here anyway."
Rosa replied kindly,"No, never. You've done so much for us; it's impossible for us to let you leave empty-handed. My father is hosting a party today, inviting some of the kingdom's nobles and merchants. I hope you'll come. It would make the Bamira family very happy."
Bulkan replied,"Thank you. It is an honor for us to attend a party with great nobles like the Bamira family."
Suddenly, a huge explosion shook the carriage from side to side, causing Rosa to collide with Lara.
Bulkan shouted,"Damn it! What's going on?! Has the Eternal Whale decided to destroy Matalia?!"He used a metaphor to express his shock at the sudden event.
Bulkan looked outside and saw a group of guards carrying swords, wearing black armor bearing the Bamira family crest. In front of them stood a young man with purple hair, black eyes, long ears characteristic of the Alf-Elf race, and a luxurious black suit decorated with purple birds. He carried a long purple sword.
The young man shouted at Karsa,"You bastard! How dare you cause chaos in front of the Bamira family gate today?! I will show you the power of the Purple Sun General Sword!"
Name: Anthony BamiraRace: Half-elf, half-humanPosition: Second son of the Bamira familyLevel: Sword Master
Karsa looked at him like a final villain, wearing a chilling smile."Oh? You think you can do that?"
Rosa looked out the window and shouted,"Brother! What are you doing?!"
A purple aura exploded, making Anthony even angrier."How dare you, you bastard, kidnap my sister?! I'll kill you today!"
Karsa replied with an even more sinister smile,"Hohoho… come and save her, if you can. Hohoho…"
Bulkan's face crumpled as he screamed inside himself.(Damn it! What's going on here?!)
Five minutes ago…
Karsa had tried to enter the gate, but the guards asked him for an identification card. He did not have one except for his Great Sun Empire identification card so he replied that he had none.
Unfortunately, Karsa's frightening appearance did not help.
The guards thought he was threatening them, so they raised their swords, forcing Karsa to release pressure to make them lower their weapons.
However, the second son, who had been standing some distance from the gate, sensed Karsa's aura and rushed over then everything happened as it did.
Present…
Everyone was worried, and the guards were trembling at the sight of Karsa. The people trying to cross the gate were terrified by what was happening.
Anthony raised his sword and cast a quick spell after waving it."The Great Violet Sun Line!"
The attack was a dense aura, but Karsa waved his hand, causing Anthony's technique to evaporate.
Anthony looked shocked."What?! How did he stop a technique I worked on for ten years?!"
Rosa watched and thought to herself:(It's true that this technique is just a cheap copy of my family's techniques, but… to destroy it with a single hand wave… This man is stronger than I expected.)
Anthony smiled excitedly."Hehe, it's been a while since I've seen a worthy opponent."
He took a fighting stance and shouted,"Everyone, get away from here, or someone will get hurt! Guards, get everyone inside the fortress!"
The guards ushered everyone inside the fortress, while Karsa remained seated at the front of the carriage, legs crossed, with a serious expression on his face, waiting. A halo stronger than Anthony's sword erupted outward.
"I've been underestimating you. It seems I have to use the strongest technique I learned from that man's stories…"
Bulkan frowned in confusion.That man?
Anthony's aura turned black, mixed with rotating purple rings.
Bulkan shouted, warning Karsa,"Watch out, Karsa! He has two colors meaning he has two Sani in his body!"
Anthony spoke calmly."The Great Sun—"
Karsa was surprised; a slight smile appeared as his eyes sharpened.
A majestic, powerful sun appeared in front of Anthony's sword. Though only the size of a palm, it was enough to destroy the gate and the surrounding land.
Anthony exhaled and launched the sun toward Karsa with a swift motion.
Bulkan and Rosa screamed in horror."No!!"
Karsa smiled calmly and said,"Well done, owner of the Violet Sun."
The violet sun struck Karsa's face, releasing immense pressure that tore the carriage away from his seat. Everything around him vanished even the horses disappeared under the violet light.
Bulkan, his face tense, whispered:"…Karsa?"
