Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Nadia's Condition

Kay arrived in front of Nadia's house. There was no sign of Razel's car. Kay immediately got out and tried knocking on the door.

"Nadia... Nadia," he called, but there was no answer.

Kay felt increasingly uneasy. He decided to open the door, and found that Nadia's door was unlocked.

"Nadia?" Kay was shocked to see Nadia's body lying unconscious on the floor.

Without hesitation, he immediately carried Nadia's body and rushed her to the nearest hospital.

Nadia was immediately treated by the doctor on duty that night. Kay waited anxiously outside the doctor's room.

Soon, a middle-aged female doctor came out and said that Nadia was not doing well and had to be hospitalized.

"Please take care of the paperwork for your wife so she can receive the proper treatment immediately."

"Yes, Doctor. Please do your best for my wife."

Kay immediately took care of the paperwork. After that, he went to see Nadia, who was still unconscious.

Nadia's pale face at that moment certainly made Kay's heart ache. Kay's hand did not let go of the hand of the woman he still loved very much to this day.

"I'm sorry if I disappointed you before because I wasn't by your side when you really needed me, Nadia."

Kay couldn't hide his sadness. Now he wanted Nadia to get better. Kay was really worried about Nadia and the baby she was carrying.

Kay didn't care if the baby was Razel's. He still wanted Nadia and her baby to be okay.

"Nadia, even if the baby in your womb is Razel's, I will still accept you if you want to leave that jerk. Your life will be more miserable if you stay with him. Razel is not your guardian angel." Kay held Nadia's hand even tighter.

Nadia had been moved to the VVIP room. Kay waited for Nadia there all night.

"Um... where am I?" A soft voice was heard when Nadia opened her eyes.

"Nadia, are you awake?" Kay immediately approached and sat right next to Nadia.

"Kay? Why are you here? Where am I?" Nadia began to look around and saw the IV needle attached to her hand.

"You fainted at home and I brought you to this hospital. Now tell me, what hurts, so I can call the doctor to examine you?"

"What? I fainted? You brought me to the hospital? Does Razel know? Where is Razel?" Nadia tried to get up from the bed.

"Nadia, the doctor said you're very weak and you shouldn't move around too much yet." Kay's hand tried to hold Nadia back.

"Let go, Kay! I just want to go home. Razel must be looking for me, and I don't want him to misunderstand later."

"He doesn't even care about you, Nadia!"

"He cares, Kay! He's my husband and the father of my baby!" Nadia snapped, already sitting on the bed.

"You'd better lie back down if you don't want to lose your baby," Kay said sternly.

Nadia, who was about to get out of bed, stopped moving.

Her eyes looked confused. "What do you mean, Kay?"

Nadia's hand moved to touch her flat stomach. "My baby is fine, right?"

"You almost had a miscarriage, Nadia, but the doctor was able to treat it and now you have to get plenty of rest."

"What?" Nadia's shocked expression was obvious.

"Your baby is fine, Nadia, but you have to be on bed rest for the next three months until you are completely well and your womb is strong."

Kay's hand slowly held Nadia's hand, which was currently lost in thought.

"To be honest, I was very afraid that something bad would happen to you and your baby when the doctor said that your condition was not good."

Slowly, Nadia's tears fell silently down her cheeks. Her heart and mind were filled with mixed emotions.

"Mrs. Nadia is awake. I want to check on her condition."

The arrival of the nurse made Kay let go of Nadia's hand and move away a little so that Nadia could be examined.

The two of them stared at each other in silence. Kay seemed unwilling to take his eyes off Nadia.

"Mrs. Nadia's blood pressure is normal. Mrs. Nadia, I hope you don't move around too much for now. If you need anything, you can ask your husband to get it for you, and if you want to go to the bathroom, you can use a wheelchair. Don't walk around too much for now." The nurse smiled at Kay.

Nadia was a little surprised to hear the nurse refer to Kay as her husband.

"Mr. Kayrav, please take good care of your wife and your unborn child because Mrs. Nadia is still very weak."

Kay nodded slowly. The nurse then excused herself. Nadia, who was still weak, lay back down.

"Kay, can I borrow your cell phone? I want to call Razel and tell him that I'm in the hospital."

Kay gave her his cell phone without saying much.

Nadia called her husband. Kay chose to stand and look at the view outside through the large glass window in Nadia's room on the tenth floor.

"Hello," Nadia said softly.

"Nadia? Is that you? Whose number are you using?" Razel didn't save Kayrav's number because it was reserved for people Kayrav considered important, including Nadia's contact.

"It's me, Razel. I'm at the hospital because my condition has worsened," Nadia explained in a soft voice.

Kay, who was standing with his back to Nadia, refused to turn toward her.

"What? In the hospital? Oh my God, Nadia! Why are you making things so difficult? Enough, Nadia! If that baby is causing you suffering and making things hard for us, you should just terminate it." Razel spoke as if he didn't care at all about Nadia's feelings.

Nadia looked at Kayrav, who was still standing with his back to her, as if he didn't care about what Nadia and Razel were talking about.

In Nadia's mind at that moment, she didn't want Kayrav to know what Razel had said because it would definitely make Kayrav angry and further convince him that Razel was a man who didn't care about his wife and child. Nadia would do her best to cover up her husband's bad behavior.

"Razel, can you come here tonight? The doctor told me to stay in the hospital for a few days until I'm fully recovered."

"I'm really tired today. I had a lot of work to do. I'll come tomorrow," Razel replied casually.

"Razel..."

"I want to rest first, Nadia. I'll come there tomorrow." Razel immediately hung up the phone.

"Alright then, you just rest and don't worry about me here, I'm fine here."

Those lies were spoken to convince Kayrav that Nadia and her husband were having a good conversation.

"Kay, thank you for the phone, and you should just go home. I can take care of myself here, and Razel will come tomorrow."

Nadia handed Kayrav his phone, and the man just looked at it blankly.

"I'm not Razel, Nadia, and I'll stay here with you until Razel comes tomorrow."
