Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 Mixed Feelings

That morning, Nadia woke up from her sleep and saw a nurse checking her IV fluid, which was almost empty.

Nadia looked around, as if she was looking for something.

"Mrs. Nadia's husband called me to replace the IV fluid that had run out. Mr. Kayrav said he was going home to change his clothes and asked me to look after Mrs. Nadia for a while," explained the nurse with a small smile to Nadia.

"Thank God Kayrav is home and hopefully he won't have to come here again," said Nadia softly, feeling relieved.

"Mrs. Nadia's husband is very attentive and loving. Last night, he seemed to be awake the whole time. Earlier, I saw that he looked very tired."

Nadia only responded with a small smile. She couldn't possibly tell the nurse that Kayrav wasn't her husband. What would the nurse think? She would definitely think badly of her.

The nurse left. Nadia tried to sit up to get a drink of water.

Nadia's breakfast was already there, but she had no appetite.

"Will Razel really come today? I have to talk to him later."

Nadia was alone in her room for almost an hour, with no sign of her husband's arrival.

Deep down, Nadia felt very disappointed and sad. Why had her husband, who used to be attentive and caring toward her, changed so much? Was it because of her pregnancy? Did Razel hate her pregnancy that much?

"Hello, sister-in-law."

Suddenly, a voice was heard as Nadia's bedroom door opened.

"Gizel?"

Nadia's sister-in-law walked over and immediately hugged Nadia, who was still shocked by Gizel's arrival.

"What's wrong with you? You're so spoiled that you have to be hospitalized," she said.

"The doctor said I'm weak, and he decided that I should be hospitalized here," replied Nadia as she pulled Gizel's body away to release her embrace.

"Can't you be treated at home? As far as I know, weak uteruses can be treated at home with plenty of rest. Razel said that during your pregnancy, you slept a lot and didn't do any activities."

Nadia wanted to respond to her sister-in-law's words, but fell silent when she saw the person she was waiting for enter with an annoyed look on her face.

"Why are you now being as troublesome as your father, Nadia?"

"Razel? I'm sorry if I've caused you trouble, but I really don't want to take any risks with my baby. Razel, when I feel better, I'll ask to go home and be treated there."

"This is all because of your carelessness. If you weren't pregnant, this wouldn't have happened. I deliberately didn't tell our parents that you were in the hospital. I didn't want to worry everyone." Razel stood right next to Gizel.

"Yes, don't tell them, because I don't want Dad to be shocked. He might have a heart attack. Besides, Nadia is already feeling better, right, Nadia?" Gizel's hand rubbed Nadia's shoulder.

"Yes, I'm feeling better, and Razel doesn't need to tell our family." Nadia's gaze was flat as she looked at the two people looking at each other.

"Nadia, I just realized that your hospital room is a VVIP room. Why did you choose such an expensive room? You only have a common illness." Razel's annoyed expression became more apparent.

Nadia was confused about how to explain. The VVIP room was Kayrav's choice, and her husband still thought that Nadia had come to the hospital on her own to check her health.

"Yes, you are really spoiled, Nadia. Even though you used to be a rich kid, you weren't like this. I feel sorry for your husband if you spend all his money on hospital bills," Gizel interjected irritably.

"Don't worry, I'll cover Nadia's hospitalization costs."

Everyone there turned in surprise toward the source of the voice.

"Kayrav?" Razel looked confused.

Nadia was also surprised. Why did Kayrav come to the hospital again? Nadia thought Kayrav wouldn't show up there again.

Kayrav walked casually towards the three people who were still surprised by his presence there.

"Razel, these are the documents you need to study later. I've also prepared all the tickets and accommodations."

Kayrav's hand reached out to give Razel several documents.

"Kayrav, how did you know Nadia was in the hospital?" asked Razel, still looking surprised.

Kayrav didn't answer, he looked into her eyes, which seemed to beg him not to say anything that could cause problems later.

"Last night I came to your house to give you the documents because I had to give them to you immediately so you could study them as soon as possible, but I saw your wife faint instead. So, I brought Nadia to this hospital. I'm glad you're here."

"Huh? So, you brought Nadia here?"

"Yes, Razel, don't worry about Nadia's medical expenses here because I've taken care of them. After all, she is the wife of my colleague and also my friend from school."

"Why didn't you tell me last night that Kayrav brought you and Nadia here?"

Razel's gaze seemed angry at Nadia. Razel felt that his wife had deliberately embarrassed him because he couldn't protect her.

"I asked Nadia not to explain over the phone because it's better to explain in person, so there won't be any misunderstandings. It's best not to prolong this issue. Now the most important thing is for Nadia to recover quickly so you can leave for Switzerland with peace of mind." Kayrav's face looked completely calm.

"What? Razel is going to Switzerland?" Nadia was naturally shocked because she had no idea that Razel was going to Switzerland.

"Yes, Nadia. Razel and I are going to Switzerland for a business partnership with Kayrav's colleagues there. This is one of Razel's ways to advance the company he just built," explained Gizel, stroking Nadia's hair.

"Why wasn't I told?" Nadia's eyes stared blankly.

"I just got this offer too, Nadia. I was going to tell you later."

Razel walked over to his wife and hugged her gently.

"Honey, I won't be in Switzerland for long. This is all for our family's future, especially since we want to have children."

Razel kissed Nadia's forehead gently.

Kayrav's hands clenched tightly as if holding back his anger. He couldn't stand seeing the woman he loved being touched by another man, even if it was her husband, because Kayrav knew it was all just Razel's act.

"Nadia wouldn't mind that, right, Nadia?" Gizel quickly grabbed Nadia's arm.

A crooked smile appeared at the corner of Kayrav's lips.
