But when you have a crowd of 5,000 people 'magically' appear in the center of town...

A bunch of guards in imposing armor quickly pointed their weapons at the 'suddenly appearing' crowd and told them to not do any sudden actions.
While many were smart and stood still.
There are always a few 'bad apples' in a bunch.
These 'bad apples' got anxious to the point of taking action or wanting to run away.
But they were quickly met with a swift counterattack.
The guards were quick and methodical.
No matter if it was a 1v1, 1v2, or even 1v5, the guards were easily able to 'immobilize' the crowd of people and prevent them from getting up again anytime soon.
Soon a group of nearly 100 people were groaning and crying on the ground.

"Grandma, where is grampa and the rest? I can't find them in this huge crowd."
"They are at my 5 o'clock. I can sense my son coming too. Don't worry and stay put with me. This is a much more serious event than anything you have ever faced and the size of people participating is unusual as well."
"How bad is it." the young lady asked gravely.
"Do you remember the 'critical limit candy explosion' event your brother pulled you out from the 'candy land' game?" the old lady said as she slowly floated off the ground.
