I wake up, groggy, extremely so. I move my hand with what I instinctively assume is a proper amount of force to get it to my face and rub my eye.
Instead, I find that my hand flies up, dragging the extremely light blanket along with it, only to hammer down like a fist on my face.
This leaves me with a newly formed black eye that I don't yet see but just know is there.
Putting hand away as slowly as feasible for me I still slam the bed hard enough to throw me to the other side and off the bed entirely.
What the fuck. Is my only thought as I lay face down on the floor afraid to move because apparently I can't control my own movements now.
I then hear footsteps running, yes running closer to where ever I am. The door swings open and I turn my head to see the person that comes in.
My eyes shine with recognition as a name comes to mind 'Barbara', Jean's younger sister and the idol of Mondstadt.
"Oh! Mr. Sane! What happened? How did you fall off the bed? Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?" Barbara starts asking questions rapidly not giving me time to answer.
Surprisingly with her small frame she is able to pick me up easily, sitting me down on the bedside.
Due to her questions I am forced to explain the prior events with quite a bit of embarrassment.
"No need to be embarrassed, Varka told me what happened and I assure you that your reaction was quite normal in this case" speaks Barbara while also giggling to herself a little.
"I've seen several patients after that armor and most of them ended up worse than you in condition, although they had a bit better motor controls" she speaks again and then continues "Usually after wearing that armor for even an hour people pass out for weeks on end, even Grandmaster Varka was out for a week after wearing it"
"Honestly though I have never seen someone without a vision with such a great recovery rate, I tried to use my vision on you hours after your fall and honestly outside of minor muscle tearing there was nothing to heal" Barbara comments again
The latter statement makes my eyes widen in surprise I don't move though afraid I might hurt Barbara who was still within the range of my arms.
"... Never mind the recovery, what was that armor" I ask
Barbara freezes then her face darkens considerably and she whispers "Did he not tell you about it before you put it on"
"Not even after" I confirm
Her face darkens even more after this and tells me to wait a moment.
Within 10 minutes I hear Varka's voice complaining in pain while. I then notice a smaller voice which I identify as Jean's also seemingly in pain.
Seconds later I find out why as I see both Jean and Varka brought in by Barbara their ears red from her pulling on them.
I then see Cifera walking in after them while also glaring at me, she then drops off a scroll at my feet and leaves the room. She looked wet likely after bathing to get the stench out of her fur. I can still feel her outside the door though?
Unknown to Sane Cifera had simply forced other cats to do it for her. This came at Cat tails expense as even the staff couldn't handle the smell and had fainted several times while trying to clean the cat's fur.
Barbara then begins to scold Varka for not informing me of the suit and Jean for not preventing Varka's madness and even helping him.
I'm left sitting and watching wide eyed as after this she forces them to bow to me and plead for forgiveness.
Barbara then speaks that, within reason, I can either demand compensation or give them a punishment.
A grin that the devil would be proud of splits my face as I debate what is the worst possible punishment I can get away with.
Taking about a minute I see the two look only to start sweating as my grin somehow grows wider.
"Okay, well, no problem. I have the perfect punishments for each of them" I say my grin not faltering even as i speak
Barbara raises an eyebrow then gesture me to speak
"Jean's punishment is the most simple, I want for each day of this week, for her to sit on a chair for 6 hours a day unable to do anything else but sit there" I say and Jean just looks at me strangely unable to understand the severity of it.
Especially considering Jean is a workaholic for Mondstadt
Barbara then question " is that a punishment"
I nod and speak, "Why of course, she can't talk to anyone, she can't read, she can't watch the outside, she can't work, she can't move, she can't even go to the washroom"
At this Jean stares up in disbelief and dawning horror now understanding what I meant.
Barbara, although gulping simply says "Fitting"
I then continue for Varka "Varka has to wear a pink, very open, maids outfit for an entire week, yes the full seven days. If anyone asks him about his appearance his only reply can be 'I want to feel pretty' "
This time it is Varka's moment to show a face of dawning horror and he tries to beg for mercy "Please no, have mercy! Ple-"
"Mercy?" I ask, pausing a moment "Okay, you can't skip your duty for the entire week of the punishment, no breaks."
His face pales instantly and he drops down his soul leaving his body, but before is succeeds I grab and stuff it back in.
This time I am surprised that my motor functions have returned to normal.
Barbara then comments "Good, oh and congratulations of having your motor functions back to relatively normal. It might still be a little ify for you to do anything strenuous so even if u do training during this time, try and not tire yourself out."
"I wouldn't want to train today in the first place if not for the fact i might need to ensure i don't break anything or punch myself in the face again." I say chuckling a bit.
Barbara nodded and the grabbing the two by an ear started to drag them out.
Then I try to stand up and follow only for my legs to give out 'Shit' I say as I am falling.
Next second though I land on something fluffy and warm.
I end up passing out as I hadn't realized that even just after waking up I was still incredibly tired.
Waking up for the second time I now recognize the room I am in for it is my temporary room. I look to the left only to see my mom walk in with Cifera.
As soon as she sees me awake she runs over checking me to make sure I am feeling alright.
It takes about 15 minutes to reassure her only to notice that physically my mom has changed a lot.
She has lost quite a bit of weight and can even be considered a beauty rivaling models from my old world. I am honestly surprised I recognized her immediately with how much she changed, fortunately her motherly and caring aura simply doesn't change.
Sitting up in the bed I ask for how long was I out?
I am relieved to find out that from the initial fainting in the golden basement passed only 3 days while the recent episode had only been for an hour or so.
My mom then told me of how upset she was with whatever training I was given but after explaining how i overexerted myself due to sheer stubbornness, she relented on the method and instead started scolding me.
I could only smile happy she was here with me. I had read a lot of fics where the parents were either killed, left behind or were simply terrible people, so I was truly grateful to have such a caring and wonderful mother, here, with me.
I sat there for the entire lecture never interrupting only apologizing at the end and requesting that she hand me the 3 books on the only table within the room.
She sighs, agrees and goes to cook something after she heard my stomach growl in empty.
Cifera jumps on the bed and curls up on my lap as I start reading the third book 'The Inventory Spell for Lazy Authors'
What an odd name... anyway as I begin reading, time flies and then my mom comes in bringing with her a salad, cooked fish and cooked chicken.
She sets down the fish, likely for Cifera, while handing me the salad and putting the chicken on the bed-stand immediately to my right.
She then leaves and brings her own chicken and salad, I wait till she sits down and start eating.
Although it is a bit lonely without my grandfather and grandmother who lived close by and commonly joined us, it was still far better than eating alone.
While eating I think about what I've read, how the inventory space is simply an extra pocket in space that I am able to create, and if anyone else is able to use spatial abilities then they will be able to sense it and use it.
Fortunately there is a way around this but I need quite a few rare materials that currently are unattainable for me.
I am able to create a simple space pocket though as that doesn't take much effort and there is a surprisingly large amount of things I can put there. The space can be imagined to the relative size of a small industrial warehouse.
It is quite the pleasant surprise.
After we eat my mom leaves and I try to stand up again, more carefully. Cifera doesn't seem to be to happy about this but enlarges herself seeming to tell me to hold onto her for support.
This time I am successful and after a few careful steps I seem to be able to avoid jumping halfway across the room just by minutely tensing my leg.
I walk over to the closet and retrieve my hidden phone as well as 20 mora.
I decide I would first do the gacha spell for 20 mora just to see what I would get this time.
This time an envelop pops up, I open the envelop carefully and find a letter
To whomsoever this letter reaches
I am a wizard who has seen many worlds yet found I could never truly get enough of a single one for after I leave it is toooo hard to return.
So for myself, or someone else in the future, I create this card that allows you to go back to a store that you've previously visited in another world one a day.
Any currency that you have will be transformed into the equivalent amount by a card concealed within this letter which would allow you to spend money from your current world there.
The card will allow you to visit a shop that you have visited before once per a day, also any blood related family will also be able to use this card in the same way.
To use the card simply swipe the end with the side of the shiny metallic piece on a wall and that will create a portal to that store.
Unfortunately I messed up during the cards creation and so as soon as you leave the store you will return back to your current world.
P.S. Nobody will notice you appearing/disappearing unless they have an extremely high magical perception.

...Well damn. Truly random ain't it. Looking at my room I get an idea. It is honestly interesting that I've been to many places before, Home Depot, Low's, computer store, Canadian Tire.
This card might just be the absolute best thing i could receive from the gacha honestly.
Shaking the matter aside I now take my phone and choose to search up more details on the Nod-Krai arc and the Mondstadt arc thanks to the inter-dimensional Wifi.... I wonder if it got any ethernet ports?
