Seeing Nyxara going silent, the Commander misunderstood it.
He said in a stern voice, "Don't dare address our Mistress in a rude way."
Nyxara was taken aback.
She turned towards the Commander and hastily said, "N-No, it's fine, my Bloodsworn. It was me who suggested it. It's fine to call me that way, too."
The Commander was surprised. He turned and bowed towards Nyxara and said, "I wouldn't dare, Mistress. The Lady of Chains and Whisphered Vows will be furious at me."
Nyxara smiled. "I see. I just instructed Myles to call me that way, so other nobles can address me that way instead of Mistress."
The Commander bowed deeply and understood the Mistress.
The Blood Knights, on the other hand, were surprised.
Among them couldn't restrain themselves from asking, "What do you mean, Mistress?"
Nyxara turned towards them and said, "I will be entering the Royal Academy with Myles."
They were shocked. They were aware that their Mistress' potential was lacking. Attending the Royal Academy with meager potential would only end up being bullied by other nobles, especially from her cousins.
They were aware how hostile their Mistress' cousins were towards her. Hence, the Royal Academy would be the most dangerous place.
They would be distressed to not be able to protect their Mistress since they would be prohibited in the Royal Academy.
They glanced at Myles and couldn't help but envy him.
A demon noble can be accompanied by a knight or servant. The servants would also receive their courses, granting the opportunity to learn inside the Royal Academy.
If only they were as powerful as Myles, they would have been granted with the opportunity to accompany the Mistress.
Their Commander was the personal knight of the Baroness, who accompanied her in the Royal Academy before, so he was ineligible to be the knight of the Mistress to accompany her inside the Royal Academy.
The Commander glanced at Myles and said, "So, that's why the Mistress allowed me to spend some time training with you. Alright, I won't disappoint you."
Myles smiled. "Please."
…
For the next two weeks, Myles taught boxing to the Blood Knights. At the same time, Myles dueled against the Commander and kept losing. Furthermore, the Commander learned about boxing, elevating his combat power.
However, Myles was not disheartened. He even invited the Commander to not hold back and almost killed Myles many times, giving Nyxara endless anxiety.
Today, it was their 100th battle, and Myles had never won since then. If he lost this battle… as long as Myles felt he was improving through their battle, he didn't feel he lost much.
The Commander took the initiative and as Myles comprehended his fighting style, despite being unable to spot even the Commander's silhouette, he was one step ahead of him.
The Commander's fist heading towards the training dummy was intercepted by Myles, who suddenly appeared and elbowed it.
Myles' right elbow was broken and so was the Commander's knuckles.
However, the Commander had already summoned a ball of blood, much condensed and faster to shape, bolting towards the training dummy at a point blank distance.
Myles was surprised. The Commander seemed determined to end their battle in an instant. Perhaps, it was because it was the 100th battle.
And perhaps, it was also because Myles didn't want to lose the 100th battle so easily that he tilted his head to receive the ball with his forehead.
It was at a point blank distance. Not even the Commander, who was faster than him, could catch the ball to prevent death befalling into him.
The Commander couldn't react either, he was surprised Myles was ready to sacrifice himself just to save some training dummy…
He simply watched as the ball of blood collided with Myles' forehead frozen.
However, he was astonished that Myles' forehead managed to dissolve the ball of blood, leaving only a heavy bruise with blood leaking in the middle.
His eyes moved downward, staring at Myles, whose countenance was difficult to discern.
Myles, at this moment, was already in the Crimson Body State.
Where bodyguards who reached the fifth rank of the Aegis Hand-to-Hand Combat were in.
For their past battle, when Myles invited him to not hold back, causing Myles to almost die, Myles was trying to enter the Red Acceptance State.
His fear response shut down.
Pain was delayed.
Self-preservation instinct was suppressed.
Movements became brutally direct.
He had to commit fully, even into a fist directed straight to his face.
Thankfully, the Commander was able to hold back then.
However, at this moment, he was unable to do so, yet Myles was able to survive from his sure-kill attack.
He grinned and performed a cross, where his knuckles were enhanced by his demonic energy to increase his strength, and his arm was enhanced by the demonic energy to increase his speed.
Perhaps, it was the most powerful attack he executed, and it was directed at Myles, without even thinking if the latter could react to survive from it.
Myles stared at the Commander's face, failing to glimpse at his right fist. However, the Commander did not pull his punch and it was now an inch away from Myles' face.
Suddenly, it abruptly stopped. It was caught by Myles' left hand, causing his palm to bleed from the frictions.
However, at this moment, he couldn't even feel the heat and pain from his left palm, as he executed the Funeral Clasp.
He tightened his clasp to the point his fingers' bones broke into many pieces, but the Commander's wrist was also totally broken.
The Commander was stunned, he did not expect for Myles to be decisive.
He stared at Myles and said, "You already lost."
The Commander's left hand was clutching a blood dagger that pierced through the training dummy.
Myles finally noticed the Commander's left arm and slowly pulled his left hand, with the fingers dancing around as though they were sleeping.
Myles huffed for breath and felt his consciousness was slipping away.
The Commander grabbed hold of him by leaning his shoulder to Myles' head, saying, "That state… you really didn't care, didn't you?"
"Myles!!!"
The Commander was surprised when their Mistress screamed at the top of her lungs, running towards them.
The Mistress was already weeping in tears, causing the Commander and the Blood Knights to be flabbergasted.
For the Commander, it was not the moment when Myles defended the training dummy with his life that surprised him, but rather the idea that their Mistress…
Had fallen in love with her knight.
