The Coffin Step before now turned into Vanish Step after ascending into the Phantom Guard, the fourth rank mastery of the Aegis Hand-to-Hand Combat technique.
Myles glided sideways with zero shoulder rise, creating an illusion he vanished and arrived in front of the Commander.
It was only possible with the coordination of his wings and body movements enhanced by his demonic energy.
Without them, Myles believed it would be difficult to ascend in the Phantom Guard rank.
Myles recalled his captain, who reached the same rank, and wondered if his captain might not really be human.
Once he closed the distance between him and the Commander, he executed the Ghost Clamp, which was to steal the latter's arms.
At this stage, he grabbed the Commander's wrists at nerve points instead of bones, aiming to kill the Commander's grips and demonic energy flow inside his body.
Myles consumed a lot of demonic energy to increase the strength of his grip at the Commander's wrist, but in the end, he only broke the armor and failed to target the Commander's nerve points.
Myles frowned. How tough!
The Commander grinned and his horn suddenly summoned demonic energy, conjuring into a blood ball, suddenly bolting at the training dummy behind Myles.
Myles was taken aback and executed the Vanish Step to protect his client, slapping the blood ball.
The blood ball redirected its path, shooting towards the Blood Knight, who was taken aback and immediately evaded it.
The Commander vanished even in Myles' sight.
Myles' eyes widened. I underestimated him!
Myles was ready to react immediately but before he knew it, the Commander was already standing beside him.
He swept his gaze to his training dummy and the Commander's blood dagger pierced through the curved smile of the training dummy.
Myles was surprised and smiled. "I admit defeat."
The Blood Knights erupted into uproar.
They cheered their Commander, shouting his name simultaneously, "Commander! Commander! Commander! Commander!"
Meanwhile, Nyxara, despite being surprised that Myles was actually defeated, even though it was reasonable since his opponent was at Rank 5 Greater Demon rank, who was also a disciple of his Mother, heaved a sigh of relief that Myles was not dead.
The Commander, on the other hand, was completely frozen. He was still gripping his blood dagger with his right hand as he recalled the bizarre moment before he won against Myles.
He slowly turned his head towards Myles as he pulled the Blood Dagger.
He saw Myles smiling at him innocently, as he heard him say, "I still want to duel with you and learn from you, will you give me that chance?"
The Commander did not reply immediately, falling into deep thought.
What was that?
He completely forgot Myles' words as the scene when he utilized his innate demonic martial arts, where he conjured a blood dagger beside Myles, repeatedly played in his mind.
What was that? There's no way I suddenly lost control of my Crimson Dominion? Someone definitely obstructed me.
Crimson Dominion is what they called on their innate demonic martial arts. It means absolute authority over their own blood only.
If someone could control blood that even affected their Crimson Dominion, then it would be a Demon Lord.
As he was in a daze, Myles said, "Are you still there? Why are you not responding?"
The Commander snapped awake from his daze and glanced at Myles.
He then perceived in his peripheral vision Myles' palm condition and glanced at them.
Myles seemed to have noticed where he was staring at and innocently raised his hands and showed his palm covered with blood.
"Aren't they yours? I probably got them when I got hold of your wrists."
Not only did he break his wrists, but the blood of the Commander stuck into his palm.
The Commander was in deep thought when he finally heard the cheer of his fellow kin.
He also discerned in his peripheral vision the silhouette of the Mistress walking towards him.
He finally regained his consciousness and recalled Myles' words earlier.
He said, "I will have to ask the Lady of Chains and Whisphered Vows first. As long as I'm able to help and train the Mistress' knight, she should allow it."
Myles smiled and said, "Thank you."
"My Bloodsworn," said Nyxara as soon as she arrived. "Thank you for teaching my knight a lesson. This will be an eye-opener to him. I hope he will learn a lot from you.
Also, leave the matter to me. I will inform my mother myself."
The Commander hastily shook his head and said, "We can't leave you unguarded, Mistress. I believe this young man here won't allow you, either."
Myles smiled and glanced at Nyxara, saying, "Yeah. Leave it to him, I can wait."
Nyxara stared at Myles and fell into deep contemplation.
He's acting differently than usual.
She glanced at the Commander and nodded.
"Alright, I'll leave it to you."
The Commander bowed deeply with his right palm placed at his left chest.
The Commander soon left under the cheers of his fellow kin.
As soon as he was alone, Myles swept his gaze around and asked, "Do you all want to train again."
At the moment, there were only ten Blood Knights left. The disabled and defeated Blood Knights were still lying on the arena floor, cheering by shouting at the top of their lungs.
When they heard what Myles said, their cheers abruptly halted.
One among them, who could still entertain Myles, said, "The Commander is the only one who can fight you. As for us, we'll be learning at the side."
Myles smiled and said, "You won't learn if you don't want to fight with me. How about this? I will teach you boxing."
"Boxing?"
"It'a a martial art that anyone can learn."
"Not a demonic martial art?"
Myles turned towards Nyxara, who asked the question, and said, "It doesn't require demonic energy at all."
Nyxara was intrigued.
"I want to learn, too."
The Blood Knights were stunned when their Mistress was the first to join the training session planned by Myles.
A Blood Knight said, "So, that's why your punch is stronger because of that martial art. We want to join, too."
Simultaneously, every Blood Knight expressed their desire to join…
