Chapter 13 - Bloodbath

Then they moved again, trying to end this in one strike now.

Explosions rippled across the water as tagged strikes came in from above and below, forcing the sea itself to erupt. Lightning flashed again, twin blades cutting toward her blind side while wires skimmed the surface, aiming for her legs. The heavy cleaver followed through the centre, meant to pin her in place.

Malenia's greatest strength was her speed. She then suddenly vanished.

Her foot touched the water once, and the surface shattered beneath the pressure. She slipped past the explosive arc before it could fully detonate, blade flashing upward in a straight line... His body split into two from the centre and fell with a fountain of blood gushing out.

Seeing this, others were horrified, not because of the person's death, but her speed. then, before they could get their thought settled, she disappeared again.

Now everyone was on guard for any sudden attack, but well things didn't go as they planned

She suddenly appeared behind the one person who was holding the samehada. he didn't even have time to turn back when he suddenly felt his vision tilt and his head.

That was enough.

One step. One strike.

He went down.

Then, suddenly she saw the giant cleaver come down on her, but Malenia caught it with both hands this time, stopping it mid-swing. The water beneath them cratered as chakra surged through her arms. She twisted sharply and drove her knee forward.

The cleaver's wielder was launched backwards, skidding across the sea before sinking.

Lightning screamed again.

She didn't turn.

Her blade snapped backwards over her shoulder, perfectly timed. Steel met steel once—then twice—then the twin blades were knocked wide. She stepped inside their reach and passed through him as smoothly as butter, also dividing him into two.

Only two remained.

The wire user retreated instinctively.

The explosive blade surged forward, detonations chaining together to overwhelm her position.

Malenia walked through the smoke.

Her figure emerged first.

Then her sword.

She then swung her blade so fast that they couldn't even track how many times they were cut.

The explosion never finished burning.

When the mist cleared, the last two were already dead. there bodies cut into pieces now submerging in ocean.

Silence returned to the sea.

Malenia stood alone on the water's surface, which was turned fully red with the enemy's blood and not even a single scratch on her although she was covered with blood. now, around her only remained broken weapons and the red water

She lowered her blade.

Only certainty.

The Seven Swordsmen were dead.

Mist shinobi pulled back in silence, their ships retreating under the cover of fog and water jutsu. None dared approach her.

Then—

The water parted.

A new pressure rolled across the battlefield, heavy and deliberate. The sea churned as a single figure stepped forward, walking across the water as if it were solid ground.

Gengetsu Hōzuki.

The Second Mizukage's expression was stripped of humor. His eyes took in the scene—the blood, the broken swords, the lone tall figure standing untouched at the centre of it all.

For a moment, he said nothing.

Then his gaze settled on her.

"…Who are you?" he asked.

Malenia raised her sword slightly, letting the blood slide free of the edge.

"Uzumaki," she answered calmly.

The water around Gengetsu rippled.

"That's not what I asked."

Her red eyes met his.

"I'm Malenia, Blade of Uzushio. and i had never known defeat."

Silence followed.

The sea trembled under Gengetsu's rising chakra. Rage coiled tightly beneath his composure as he looked again at the shattered swords and blood.

"You killed them all," he said.

"They stood in my way," Malenia replied.

Gengetsu exhaled slowly.

Then the water around him began to move.

"Then let's see," he said coldly, "how long you can stand."

The mist thickened.

And the Mizukage stepped forward.

...
