Chapter 6 - SINGLE FOR A WHILE.

"It is not that easy for me to become a model. I prefer to become a big boss. I want to help many people so they will not go hungry," Bima explained.

Amelia fell silent and lifted her head. She looked at the clear sky filled with stars.

She wanted to scream, to forget everything. Her mind returned to the earlier conversation, the moment when she was belittled for being single.

"It is better for you to stay single for a while. Do not treat being single like a disease. It is better to focus on your life," Bima said calmly.

"For me, being single is not a disease. I am fine being called a lifelong single woman, sir. It is much better than being in a relationship with someone who already has a partner," Amelia replied.

Bima nodded slowly. What Amelia said was true. He often noticed small things that carried deep meaning.

"Why do I feel like she is not similar to you?" Bima asked honestly.

"Which one, sir?" Amelia exhaled deeply.

"The one who humiliated you earlier," Bima said. The conversation still echoed in his mind.

Suddenly, Amelia became alert. She tried to find an answer. Somehow, it felt as if she was hiding a secret. She rubbed her face and felt that something was not right.

"Does Nicky not know about this?" Bima continued.

"Uncle, I have never told him about this problem. I do not want to be a burden to him," Amelia said. She deliberately hid her suffering from Nicky.

"You should have told Nicky," Bima pressed her gently, wanting honesty.

Amelia nodded slowly. He was right. She should tell Nicky. However, she chose to stay silent because she did not want to burden her uncle.

"Not everything needs to be said. Sometimes it is better to keep things secret, so both sides can continue living without bloodshed," Amelia said wisely.

Bima shook his head. He could not understand how Amelia could be so patient when dealing with Santi. Amelia should have fought back.

"What is your relationship with that woman?" Bima asked again.

"She is my second older sister. I still have another older sister named Dina. I do not know where she is. I do not know whether my mother is looking for her or not. I never asked," Amelia answered honestly.

Bima could sense that Amelia's family was broken. On one side, Amelia seemed indifferent. On the other side, he knew she was hiding a deep secret that had not yet been revealed.

"I can tell that you are carrying a heavy burden. Not everyone knows about it. You swallow the pain whole. You pretend not to care," Bima said, sensing her suffering.

"Thank you, sir, for helping to lighten my burden. I am sorry if I have been too strict at work and sometimes overprotective with the schedules," Amelia replied.

"That is exactly it. You are only a high school graduate, yet you can handle all my work. At first, I underestimated you. But you dared to learn," Bima praised her.

"When we are outside, do not think of me as your boss. Think of me as your friend, or anything else," Bima said.

Amelia felt warmth in her heart. It felt like a breath of fresh air. However, she was not foolish. She did not trap Bima, who still belonged to another woman.

"It is not that simple, sir," Amelia said.

"There is a heart that you must protect."

"What heart should I protect? My marriage is on the edge. I am tired of living in a marriage full of ego," Bima said with a crooked smile.

Amelia chose to stay silent, pretending not to care. She did not want to interfere in Bima's household problems. Sooner or later, the truth would come out.

"I am sorry, sir. I will not interfere in your household matters," Amelia said firmly.

"You are very smart in making decisions. I do not want to burden you with this problem. Let everything flow naturally. Sooner or later, the public will know who Martha really is," Bima said, deliberately speaking in riddles.

What Bima said was true. Let people know what really happened in his marriage. When everything was exposed, he would not hide anymore. He chose to stay calm and not overthink it.

Quietly, Bima took his phone and made a call. Amelia, meanwhile, focused on the beauty of the city's skyscrapers.

The person on the other end was in a different place. His name was Rey Martinez. He was busy packing items that would be shipped to Oslo.

"Make sure everything is packed neatly!" Rey ordered.

"Yes, boss!" the guards replied loudly.

A phone rang. Rey picked up his phone and was shocked to see Bima calling. He immediately answered.

"Hello," Rey greeted.

"Find information about Burhan Silalahi," Bima ordered directly.

"Understood," Rey replied and ended the call.

Rey stepped aside to begin gathering information about Burhan. The guards continued their work.

Rey Martinez was Bima's right-hand man in the

underground organization. He was known for being firm and capable of controlling the underworld in dangerous situations.

In the past, before Amelia joined, Rey was always by Bima's side. He was responsible for many of Bima's operations.

However, after Amelia entered and mastered everything, Bima deliberately moved Rey to the underground organization.

Bima and Amelia remained quiet, lost in thought. This place truly felt like a place for reflection.

Suddenly, several guards arrived carrying bags filled with food. Bima loved eating, yet his body never gained weight.

"Sir, your order has arrived," one of the guards said.

"Thanks," Bima replied briefly.

The guard turned and walked away. Just as he was about to leave, Bima called him again.

"Wait!"

The guard stopped and turned back. "Yes, sir?"

"Have the crazy girl who was with the old man left?" Bima asked about Santi and Burhan.

"They have left. They did not have access to the main elevator. But the crazy girl was screaming without any manners. I contacted security to escort her out," the guard explained.

"Go," Bima dismissed him.

They left the rooftop. Amelia stayed silent, saying nothing. Her body trembled, as if danger was lurking nearby.

Bima noticed it. He knew Amelia was not okay. He opened a bag and handed her a hamburger.

"Instead of being scared like that, you should eat," he said.

Amelia nodded softly and accepted the hamburger. Sometimes, as humans, we need to respect ourselves. When problems come, face them calmly. And do not forget to eat.

"Sir, where did you learn that?" Amelia teased him.

"It is not about learning from somewhere. It is about maintaining your health. You already have problems, yet you do not eat. That does not reduce problems. It only adds more," Bima said wisely.

What Bima said was true. Every problem must be faced calmly. There should be no rash decisions. Health comes first.

That night was a beautiful night. Though it was painful, Amelia chose to be strong. She prepared herself to face everything ahead.

"Sir, it is already 11 p.m. I should go home," Amelia said as she picked up her bag.

"Who are you going home with?" Bima asked seriously.
