Anaerah watched as Zyrus fell unconscious, it was truly a outstanding feat that he had managed to survive and pass the harrowing trial known as The Void Knight.
She still couldn't believe what he had done, she still remembered the shocked and excited reaction of that man. Though, he disappeared after the knight was gone.
With a trembling hand, she slowly pulled out the sword from his stomach, Zyrus winced slightly in his unconsciousness. It was really hard for her to keep her eyes open seeing all that blood around.
However, Elizabeth's past memories helped as she had been trained in every aspect rigorously.
Thus, she pulled it out. Then laying Zyrus back on the ground she opened his mouth and made him drink the iridescent rainbow coloured liquid in a glass vial.
The liquid shimmered with such heavy mana and purity, that she couldn't help but be surprised. The smell coming from the liquid was strangely entrancing and refreshing.
As the liquid entered Zyrus's body, his body started to glow with an ethereal shine. As if time was being reversed on his body it started to heal all his injuries.
The wounds closed as if they were never there, the snapped bones rejoined and retraced where they were, all the injuries on his body started disappearing.
Soon, he was as good as new.
Anaerah sighed tiredly, then without much she also fell on the ground and closed her eyes. She was tired...too.
Of course, she couldn't match what Zyrus's had done in these past hours, however it was never about comparing who had done what.
What's there to compare between the people, when there literal soul's are connected to each other in a special way.
"Or rather in an accidental way. Ah, fate is truly a strange thing to save my life once, it transmigrated me into this hellhole. Ah, well atleast i am not alone....haha."
Anaerah laughed heartedly when she repeated the last words, she spoke into her mind. Oh, how strange it was of her to find comfort in a stranger's company when all she had done in her life is to avoid them.
Fate's truly a strange thing to connect her with someone who was not even bound by it.
Soon, she fell asleep too. After all she was also...tired, though just slightly.
In a the dark hall of the chamber two beings lay side by side, one covered in blood. His hair dark as midnight, his skin ethereal glowing.
While the other one, without a single blemish on her. Her form enchanting in a way that one couldn't comprehend how can something so beautiful exist.
It was as if, all the filth and wretchedness of the world don't even touch her. It was truly an beautiful thing.
*****
Zyrus, body hadn't stopped glowing rather the glow seemed to be blazing more and more every gaining second.
Soon, his whole body burned in white as if he was burning from inside. Though, all he would have felt right now, would have been an addicting warmth if he was awake.
Out of his body, all the impurities came out in the form of black smoke as if burning, soon his own blood which was dry on his body also started to burn off.
His form changed... though just slightly. His body become more robust, his bones become more robust while all the muscles rebuild themselves into something immpecably strong.
Of course, he was still frail.
Then it was all gone except there was one thing that remained. It was the long scar on his chest, it was as if Zyrus had wanted to keep that scar on his body and the liquid had listened.
*****
On the grass, around the park. A boy no older than six ran happily, while chasing a butterfly which strangely looked too beautiful to be true.
It was a modern world, with tall buildings and skyscraper's covering the land. Multiple vehicles like cars and trucks ran around on the road aside from the park.
It was Earth...and the boy who ran around was Zyrus.
Chasing the butterfly Zyrus moved practically bouncing with joy and innocence. He looked different. As if the world hadn't been aware of him till now...the boy looked happy.
"Be careful, Zyrus. You will fall, if you run around like that." A soft voice called out the boy, making him stop for a moment.
"It's fine mom, i am a big boy now. I won't fall just because of running." Zyrus turned and said while laughing then once again ran to catch the butterfly.
At those words, his mother smiled beautifully then looked at him strangely. It was strange because Zyrus was too small to understand what that emotion was.
It was... longing and grief.
Just then, a firm hand jolted his mother out of her stupour. Looking to her side, she glanced at her husband who shook his head while smiling.
Though, she could easily see from his eye's that he was trying his hardest to not show any melancholic emotions right now.
"It's would be a real waste, if we instead of spending our time with our son and living these moments, sat brooding around you know." Zyrus's father spoke with a slight smile.
Putting her hand on his, the lady also smiled though they were distracted by the sound that came from the side.
"Aag."
Looking at the side, they found Zyrus on the ground groaning as he fell. In an instant, Zyrus father was there as if teleporting and in the next moment was his mother.
Quickly and gently, he picked up the boy.
Zyrus...right now looked like he was trying really hard not cry, he sniffled quietly while he rubbed the remnants of coming tears from his eyes.
"Haha, there there my boy. It alright." Zyrus father laughed slightly looking at his boy trying hard not to cry. He pulled him in a slight hug then picked him up carrying him in his hands.
"Heh, and here you were telling me that you are a big boy, now." The lady teased him gently as she lightly dusted the dust of his knees.
"I am...see i-i am not crying. I am calm and cool minded just like dad teached me to always be." The boy said.
There... there it was again. An emotion he couldn't understand...was it pride?
Sadness?...Regret?
It felt like hidden in there in faces there were too much things for the small boy to comprehend and yet his crimson eyes glowed brightly as if he could understand that something was wrong.
Thus, he raised his hand and gestured for his mother to come close.
"Hm?" She came without much thought.
Then, tightly the boy hugged both of them at the same time. The parents eyes widened then they smiled.
They smiled proudly....they smiled regretfully....then as if it all was a mirror everything broke.
"No.." Zyrus woke up with a small shout his hand raised grasping nothing but empty air.
