Chapter 6 - The town.

The cold burned.

It's flames ravaged the town.

The suffering of the people living could be heard with each scream they made.

The flames were cold . The cold was hot.

It was a showcase of cruelty.

"Don't feel sorry for them. They have abandoned God. They deserve this."

He called out to me.

He had been standing there next to me watching the sight. Causing the chaos.

"I don't feel sorry for them. I am an undead.

I don't have any need for such emotions."

I responded.

"That's good. That's very good. So what brings you here? Did you get your dream back?"

He asked.

"I am here because I was told to be. I don't know my purpose to be honest. I was told this place might have something of interest to me."

"I see. So you met up with the queen of the forest, she's the only one who would tell you that. It's weird. I feel like I know who you are , but I don't. " He said looking at me. His blonde hair flew quietly in the freezing air.

"Is that why you stopped me back at the prison?"

"Yes. I thought I knew you from your smell. "

My smell...?

"I am sorry I don't quite understand that , what do you mean by 'my smell'. Undeads don't have smells."

He stopped to look at me.

His eyes gleamed for a second, before his lips curled into a smile.

"Let me show you."

He said.

I was frozen.

He jumped onto me, grabbing my face.

Then his face came closer to mine.

"You see, I am a herald of the old god. " He said as his lips touched mine.

In a moments notice everything around me started to shift.

Blood flowed from my nose and eyes.

He parted away from my face.

Then looked at me again.

"Can you see it now? I shared some of my blood with you."

Indeed i could see it now.

'Smell'.

It was flowed around me, almost visible.

I looked at

my self, now unfrozen.

Black.

That was the colour of my smell.

"Thank you for showing me. Next time warn me before hand before you freeze me in place."

"Hahaaa, it's not fun if I warn you. Oh and FYI I am a girl." He no - She said looking at me.

"Why did you do that ? What do you gain from giving me your blood?"

I asked her. It was only natural i ask.

"Well you look and smell like someone I know that's all. That's why I wanted to help you , and it's not like I gave you something important, it's just a few drops of my blood." She said.

"Thank you again. I will make sure to repay your kindness ."

I said.

I turned to look at the burning town.

It's people had now been frozen crisp.

Their charred bodies now frozen solid.

"Do you mind telling me what did they do ?" I asked her.

Silence.

For a while she thought.

Her eyes were looking at a building, a church.

Then she spoke.

" They betrayed our God. Just like the King, they started to worship the great one. But the great one isn't the god that we are supposed to worship, no it's a hoax. It's a fool.

It's no divine entity."

Rage filled her eyes as she spoke.

She rambled on.

Her expression hardened and she spoke.

And spoke. And spoke.

It wasn't anything useful. Just rambling.

Then she turned to look at me.

"I am leaving. I have done my job.

Undead, avoid the church.

They don't like your kind. But I do so don't die."

She said before leaving.

In a clear motion she jumped across the entire town.

I looked at the town.

It was frozen solid.

The buildings has been reduced to naught.

The only buildings that were left were the church and a few buildings made out of stone.

I stepped forward.

The streets were clean , with the occasional drops of blood.

The dead were lying everywhere.

The houses were gone.

There was nothing useful left in the village.

I made my way to the church.

The gate was closed shut.

Chains held it together.

On the outside there was a sign.

"G od i s D ea d"

I punched the door open.

Inside everything was a mess.

All the chairs were broken.

The floor was ripped apart.

In the middle there was a beautiful statue of the God.

She was a beautiful depiction of the god.

Almost made me puke just by being in its presence.

Atop the statue was something. Something you couldn't remove your eyes from.

A priest.

Naked.

Dead.

Hung.

Burned to and then crucified.
