"The Golden Dragon King Bloodline!"

"Who exactly is this human?"

Gu Yue fought to suppress the storm of emotions raging within her, but the cold killing intent in her heart was becoming increasingly difficult to mask. Seeing Xie Xie's top-tier Dragon King bloodline was one thing—surprising, yes, but he felt like a natural, albeit powerful, evolution of the dragon clan.

But this boy, Tang Wulin... why did he possess the essence of the other half of the Dragon God? The Golden Dragon King was supposed to be sealed in the God Realm. If its bloodline was here, what did that imply about the fate of the gods?

While Gu Yue was spiraling into suspicion, Tang Wulin exchanged a brief, respectful nod with Xie Xie before taking a seat next to Wei Xiaofeng.

Wu Changkong stepped onto the podium, his presence commanding instant silence. "I am Wu Changkong. From today, I am the homeroom teacher for Class Zero."

"Our goal is simple: the Junior Division championship of the Tianhai Alliance and admission to Shrek Academy."

The young students felt a surge of adrenaline. Shrek Academy was the holy grail of every Spirit Master on the continent.

"Six of you are already familiar with one another. The seventh, Tang Wulin, is a specialty student with talent in blacksmithing that is, frankly, unmatched for his age. His cultivation lags behind yours, but he has the potential to reach the peak. I expect you to support one another."

Tang Wulin stood up, his face determined. "Hello everyone, my name is Tang Wulin. My Spirit is Blue Silver Grass. I'm happy to be your classmate. Please take care of me."

"Blue Silver Grass?" Xu Xiaoyan whispered to Xie Xie, her eyes wide with doubt. "How can someone with a useless spirit become a Master Blacksmith?"

"To reach his level of forging with Blue Silver Grass... he must have worked himself to the bone," Wei Xiaofeng said, his voice tinged with genuine respect.

"Yeah," Zhang Yangzi added. "Since Boss is a blacksmith, we know it's a brutal profession. For him to succeed with those odds is like climbing a mountain made of glass."

Tang Wulin looked embarrassed. "Actually, it's not quite like that..."

"Well, if you ever get stuck on a forging problem, you can ask our Boss," Zhang Yangzi said, pointing to Xie Xie. "He's an absolute monster at the anvil."

"Xie Xie? I understand," Tang Wulin replied, smiling at his fellow blacksmith.

Gu Yue, however, was not smiling. The name "Tang" combined with "Blue Silver Grass" and the "Golden Dragon" aura was too much of a coincidence. Her gaze grew icy.

"The curriculum for Class Zero will focus on combat," Wu Changkong announced, signaling for silence. "Since I need to gauge your current limits, we will start with a demonstration. Xie Xie, step forward."

Xie Xie stood up calmly and walked to the center of the expansive classroom.

"Teacher Wu, who is Boss fighting?" Zhang Yangzi asked. He knew that except for maybe Gu Yue, none of them could provide a real challenge for Xie Xie anymore.

"His opponent is me," Wu Changkong replied.

He didn't wait for their shock to settle. In a flash of icy blue light, the Heavenly Frost Sword appeared in his hand. Six spirit rings—Yellow, Yellow, Purple, Purple, Black, Black—swirled around him, radiating the oppressive aura of a Spirit Emperor.

"Boss is fighting... a Spirit Emperor?" Wei Xiaofeng's jaw dropped.

"I will suppress my cultivation to Level 29 to match yours," Wu Changkong said. "Show me your true strength."

"I look forward to it, Teacher Wu," Xie Xie replied.

A low, majestic dragon roar shook the room. A shimmering blue light erupted as the Time-Space Dragon King appeared behind Xie Xie. Two brilliant purple rings pulsed at his feet.

"Two thousand-year rings," Wu Changkong noted internally. "Impressive."

"First Soul Skill: Time-Space Shuttle!"

Xie Xie's silver pupils flared. He vanished. In the blink of an eye, he reappeared to Wu Changkong's left, his Dragon Claws swiping toward the teacher's neck.

Wu Changkong's eyes flashed with purple light—the Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track. He moved to dodge, but the attack landed faster than his physical body could react. He was forced to parry with the Heavenly Frost Sword, a look of genuine amazement on his face.

Spatial displacement! He had expected speed, but this was instant teleportation. It rendered traditional agility-based defenses useless.

"First Soul Skill: Frost Scar!" Wu Changkong countered. A wave of icy Sword Qi shot toward Xie Xie.

Xie Xie didn't flinch. He simply looked at the incoming energy. The space around Wu Changkong twisted violently, and the Sword Qi imploded before it could even travel a meter, crushed by spatial pressure.

"Second Spirit Ability: Frost Mist!"

Wu Changkong didn't let up. A thick, pale blue fog filled the room, designed to strip an opponent of their senses. But Xie Xie's connection to the dimensions around him was absolute.

"Time-Space Shuttle."

Xie Xie bypassed the mist entirely, appearing directly in front of Wu Changkong again.

I can't lock him down, Wu Changkong realized. He prepared to use the Ghost Shadow technique again to reset the distance, but suddenly, his limbs felt like they were encased in concrete.

What? "Space Imprisonment."

The Frost Mist cleared to reveal Xie Xie standing with his Dragon Claw pressed gently against Wu Changkong's throat. The Spirit Emperor was frozen in time and space, unable to twitch a finger.

"Teacher Wu, thank you for the match," Xie Xie said with a grin, releasing the hold.

"Xie Xie... you win," Wu Changkong admitted, his breath hitching. He wasn't a sore loser, but being handled so decisively by a nine-year-old on the first day of class was a humbling experience.

Tang Wulin, watching from the sidelines, was utterly shell-shocked. Thousand-year rings. Absolute spatial control. He beat Teacher Wu!

Old Tang, Wulin whispered into his mind, are you sure that if I undo the first seal, I can actually beat this guy?

In his spiritual world, Old Tang was silent for a very long time. "...Maybe," he finally replied.

Tang Wulin could only offer a helpless, bitter smile. He didn't notice that Gu Yue was watching him with the eyes of a hawk, her mind already forming a plan to have the Great Beast, Di Tian, investigate this "Golden Dragon" human.
