"Xu Xiaoyan, your control is exceptional. In the future, the combined lockdown of your skills and Xie Xie's will likely become a legendary topic of discussion on the continent," Wu Changkong remarked with deep emotion. "However, your cultivation is lagging. You must put in the effort to surpass Zhang Yangzi and the others if you want to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Xie Xie and Gu Yue."

"Yes, Teacher Wu!" Hearing the phrase "stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Xie Xie," Xu Xiaoyan agreed instantly, her dimples appearing as she gave a determined nod. "I will work hard to catch up to Brother Xie Xie!"

"Now, for the final pair," Wu Changkong said, his gaze shifting to the last two students. "Wang Jinxi, Tang Wulin, it's your turn."

The classroom went silent.

"I'm fighting Tang Wulin?" Wang Jinxi asked, momentarily stunned. "Teacher, he's only a one-ring Spirit Master."

Zhang Yangzi and Wei Xiaofeng shared his confusion. A Rank 11 Blue Silver Grass user against a Rank 21 Attack-System Bone Dragon King? The outcome seemed written in the stars before a single punch was thrown.

"Do not be so quick to judge," Wu Changkong said. "Tang Wulin lacks innate talent, but he makes up for it with a work ethic that would put most of you to shame. His physical strength is in a tier of its own, fueling a top-tier forging talent that translates into raw power. He may not be your match today, but he is a vital part of this collective."

Wang Jinxi nodded respectfully, though he was still worried about accidentally hurting the newcomer.

"Student Wang Jinxi, thank you for the concern," Tang Wulin said, stepping onto the floor with a determined smile. "But fighting an expert like you is the only way I can truly grow. Please, do not hold back!"

"Alright," Wang Jinxi replied, his aura shifting as the Bone Dragon King manifested. "Then let's do it!"

"First Soul Skill: Bone Dragon Claw!"

Wang Jinxi's hand transformed into a terrifying, obsidian-white claw, pouncing toward Wulin. It was a move of respect—he was using his best skill to test the boy's limits.

"First Soul Skill: Blue Silver Binding!"

Tang Wulin's white spirit ring pulsed. He sent a wave of resilient vines forward. However, the gap was too wide. The Bone Dragon Claws shredded the vines like wet paper in less than three seconds.

My control is that weak? Tang Wulin gritted his teeth, his face burning with a mix of shame and frustration. He looked at Xie Xie's absolute lockdown earlier and felt the weight of his own "trash" spirit.

As the claws closed in, Tang Wulin didn't retreat. He reached into his belt and instantly gripped a heavy forging hammer.

CLANG!

The room shook as the hammer met the dragon claw.

"What? Your strength..." Wang Jinxi's eyes widened. The shockwave through the hammer was massive. This wasn't the strength of a one-ring Spirit Master; it was closer to a hundred-catties of raw force.

"I hope I can last a bit longer!" Tang Wulin pulled a second hammer into his left hand, his eyes erupting with hope. If his spirit failed, he would rely on his muscles!

The spar continued for several rounds, but the rank difference was an unscalable wall. Eventually, Wang Jinxi's superior soul power pinned Wulin's hammers down.

"This is the end," Wang Jinxi said calmly. "But your strength is incredible, Wulin."

"Thank you. I'll keep working hard," Tang Wulin panted, wiping sweat from his brow. He had lost, but he had proven he belonged in the same room.

After school, Tang Wulin headed toward East Sea Park alone to find a quiet place to meditate.

Old Tang, Wulin asked inwardly, is my Blue Silver Grass really this useless?

"Wulin, there are no trash spirits, only trash Spirit Masters," Old Tang's voice echoed in his mind.

"I've heard that one," Wulin sighed. "But the guy who said it, Tang San, had Innate Full Soul Power and a second spirit—the Clear Sky Hammer! I have Rank 3 and some grass. How can I even come close?"

"..." Old Tang remained silent, unable to argue with the boy's logic.

Tang Wulin was so lost in his existential crisis that he didn't notice a shadow stretching across the grass toward him. A man cloaked in a heavy black robe approached, his presence completely erased from the natural world.

It was the head of the Great Vicious Beasts, the Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King: Di Tian.

"The Golden Dragon King Bloodline," Di Tian murmured, his voice cold and devoid of human mercy. "It is not a power a human worm like you should possess."

He looked at the boy, his eyes flashing with a murderous, golden light. To Di Tian, Tang Wulin wasn't a student; he was a potential threat to the Silver Dragon King's sovereignty. He raised a hand, the air around Tang Wulin beginning to solidify into a killing cage.
