🔶 POV: Scrooge McDuck (First-Person)
I follow the multiverse traveler through the hall, staring openly like a duck who's never seen technology past steam engines—because, well, I haven't.
Their suit glows.Their helmet shifts colors.Their map floats like magic, but mechanical.
"Pardon me, lad," I say. "How'd ye build such a contraption?"
The traveler turns.
And I instantly realize something.
I cannot understand a SINGLE WORD coming out of their mouth.
It's like listening to a radio, a whale, and a typewriter having a fistfight.
I blink.
"…Right. Ye're speakin' utter nonsense."
Alex appears behind me.
"His language is twelve-dimensional fractal code. You cannot parse it."
"Well how do I talk tae him then?!"
Alex reaches into thin air—and pulls out a small metallic clip.
Hands it to me.
"This is a translation device. Put it on your collar."
I do.
And suddenly—
The traveler's words resolve into perfect English.
"—and so the trans-Omniversal route required recalibrating the flux harmonics—ah. You can understand me now."
I grin wide.
"Aye! Now we're talkin'!"
The traveler nods politely.
"I am Navigator H-33 from Spiral Node Twelve."
"I'm Scrooge McDuck from Glasgow."
He tilts his head.
"…Where is Glasgow?"
I puff my chest.
"A grand city on Earth!"
The traveler processes this.
"Ah. A primitive world."
I glare.
"Now see here—"
He ignores me.
Casually walks to the dining hall.
Leaving me with a full head of questions, indignation, and curiosity boiling over.
So naturally—
My attention turns to his SHIP.
🔶 POV: Scrooge McDuck (First-Person)
"Oh ho ho… now THIS is interestin'…"
The vessel gleams like liquid metal molded into sleek curves.Symbols glow along the hull.I see antennae, vents, and ports that hum like music.
I poke a button.
WHIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRP.
The entire ship suddenly vibrates.
Lights change color.
Panels shift.
The engines begin spinning faster.
"…Whoops."
A red glow pulses along the hull.
Then a siren blares:
"UNIDENTIFIED HOSTILE ENTITY DETECTED."
I point at myself.
"Hostile!? ME!?! I'm just explorin'!"
Missile ports open.
Laser turrets rise.
And before I can say another word—
FWOOOOM! FWOOOOM!
Lasers blast toward me.
I leap.
The beam scorches the ground.
"HEY! STOP SHOOTIN' AT ME, YE TIN CAN!"
Three homing missiles launch.
BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!
"Ah, blast it—!!"
I sprint.
Missiles chase me.
I duck behind a pillar—
It vaporizes instantly.
I run vertically up a wall (don't ask how), leap across a chandelier, bounce off a hive member's head (they bow politely mid-bounce), and land behind a marble statue.
The statue explodes.
"THIS IS UNCALLED FOR!!"
More lasers.
More missiles.
More explosions.
I weave through them all, dodging with ease—
Jumping so high I nearly hit the ceiling.Bouncing off walls like a rubber ball.Sprinting faster than I've ever sprinted before.
I should be terrified.
But honestly?
I'm lovin' it.
"This is the most fun I've had all WEEK!!"
🔶 POV: Alex (Third-Person)
Alex watches the chaos unfold.
Missiles spiral.
Lasers carve through air.
Scrooge moves like—
…like something that should not be physically possible.
Alex's avatar stands perfectly still, arms crossed, as a missile grazes past him and crashes harmlessly into a reality-absorbing buffer panel.
Alex thinks:
…Huh.They nerfed him in the cartoon. Is this the original comic version of Scrooge McDuck? This duck should NOT be this fast.Or this durable.Or this terrifyingly nimble.
A hive staff member calmly sweeps debris as missiles explode around them.
Alex continues thinking:
Unless…This is the DuckTales version when he was younger.Which means when he gets older he will become significantly less durable.Interesting. He scales by age.
Alex snaps his fingers.
All missiles freeze mid-air.
Drop to the ground.
Deactivate.
The laser turrets retract.
Scrooge lands next to him, panting, exhilarated, and somehow completely unharmed.
🔶 POV: Scrooge McDuck (First-Person)
I point angrily at the ship.
"That blasted thing tried tae KILL me!"
Alex responds calmly.
"You poked its defensive node."
"…Well how was I supposed tae know that!?"
"You poked the part labeled 'DO NOT TOUCH.'"
"…Aye, well—"
I dust myself off.
"I survived."
Alex gives a tiny nod.
"Yes. I noticed."
🔶 POV: Alex (Third-Person)
Alex thinks:
He really IS the DuckTales version. That explains everything. He'll weaken with age, but right now…He's nearly indestructible.
The multiverse traveler passes by holding a plate of food.
He sees the scorch marks and destroyed furniture.
"Ah. I see you met my ship."
Scrooge growls.
"I'll meet it again if it fires at me one more time!"
The traveler shrugs.
"Then don't poke the sensitive parts."
Scrooge crosses his arms.
"…Fair enough."
