Jay pov:
My heart was racing so fast I was sure the mic would pick it up.
The clapping, the cheers—it sent a rush through me, excitement buzzing under my skin. I'd dreamed of this moment, planned it endlessly, but standing here now felt surreal.
I searched the crowd again.
Keifer was still there.
Still looking at me.
Relief washed over me when I didn't see anger on his face—just shock. Wide-eyed, stunned, like someone who'd just discovered a whole new world.
Okay. That's good. That's… good.
I smiled a little wider, confidence settling in.
"This company began as an idea," I said, voice warm, steadying. "One that people told me was impossible."
The crowd listened intently.
"But impossible things," I added, a spark of excitement slipping through, "are my favorite to prove wrong."
Soft laughter followed. Applause grew.
My gaze flicked to Keifer once more—quick, hopeful.
