Chapter 24: Ninjutsu: Shadow Clone Jutsu

The fusion lasted an hour. When Ronin opened his eyes, the Scarlet Eyes in the jar had vanished.

He picked up a mirror. He did not see the Three-Tomoe Sharingan he had dreamed of.

He was still at Two-Tomoe.

However, he clearly felt his aura capacity had increased again. Overall, his strength had likely doubled compared to before the fusion.

He felt that if he met Uvogin now, he could fight him head-on without relying on terrain.

He also sensed his eyes were evolving toward the Three-Tomoe state; they just lacked... energy!

One pair wasn't enough.

If he had one more pair, he was certain he would reach Three-Tomoe.

Ronin had considered this outcome.

He had worried that fusion wouldn't be enough to unlock A-Rank or S-Rank Jutsu even if the eyes evolved, due to Chakra limitations.

Based on his calculations, two more pairs should push him to the Mangekyou Sharingan.

That would unlock Susanoo and unique Dojutsu.

But A-Rank Jutsu and Susanoo were Chakra hogs.

Judging by the boost from this fusion, even two more pairs might only give him a few times his initial aura capacity.

That wasn't enough.

But this result was acceptable.

Two pairs for Three-Tomoe—and seemingly without side effects.

However, reaching Mangekyou or Eternal Mangekyou would likely require many more eyes.

He definitely needed to get his hands on Tserriednich's collection.

Also, his plan to use spare eyes for Izanagi would have to be scrapped for now.

On the bright side, this fusion unlocked B-Rank Ninjutsu.

Evolution of the eyes and unlocking Jutsu tiers seemed to happen independently.

Testing B-Rank Jutsu, Ronin found the cost was steep. His Chakra reserves were struggling to keep up.

"I can't rely solely on fusing eyes. I need to train my own Nen capacity. Otherwise, even if I unlock high-level Jutsu, I won't be able to cast them," Ronin muttered.

He formed a cross seal with his fingers. Massive amounts of Chakra surged.

POOF!

Another Ronin appeared in the room.

B-Rank Ninjutsu: Shadow Clone Jutsu!

Created by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, this technique created a solid clone with its own consciousness and ability to interact with the world.

It wasn't the fragile illusion of the Clone Technique.

Most importantly, when the clone dispelled, its memories and experiences returned to the original.

For Ronin, this was a cheat code.

It was the Jutsu he wanted most.

Now, he could let the Shadow Clone act publicly. If Uvogin or the Troupe attacked, they would kill a clone.

Meanwhile, his main body could focus entirely on training.

The only downside was that mental fatigue also returned to the user. But compared to the benefits, that was negligible.

He didn't know the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique, so managing one clone wouldn't kill him.

Returning to Heaven's Arena, Ronin began his dual life.

Using Milia's connections, he secretly rented a room on the 188th floor. His main body lived there, while the clone stayed in the flashy Room 2333.

Ronin was disciplined.

He woke up at 7:00 AM. By 8:30 AM, he was training.

11:30 AM was lunch. He preferred cooking for himself—a hobby of his. He wasn't a master chef, but he made food that suited his taste: braised pork, hot pot, etc. He hadn't fully adjusted to the Western-style food of this world.

After lunch, he read books or manga. This world had great works too. He collected figures and cosplay costumes, even attending conventions in character.

At 1:00 PM, training resumed until 5:30 PM.

After that, it was free time.

He watched matches, played video games, or went to the club to tease the maids. The older sisters there spoke nicely and were soft to the touch.

Ronin valued improving his strength, but he also knew how to enjoy life.

If he spent every second training, he would lose his joy. That would be putting the cart before the horse.

Strength was a tool to make life better.

With this balanced mindset, Ronin found his progress was actually quite fast.

He consulted the veteran Nen user, Milia.

"Mental state is part of training. High-intensity training strains the body. Balance is scientific," Milia advised. "If you pair it with a proper diet, you'll get double the results with half the effort. Need help? I have a professional team. Expensive, but tasty."

"Sure, thanks," Ronin accepted politely.

"By the way, confident about the next match?" Milia asked expectantly.

"Of course." Ronin smiled, giving her a look of absolute certainty.
