Arnold, Williams and Favour decided to visit Victoria in the hospital.
The three days had come and gone so Williams woke up to the new morning wanting to visit his wife.
"Rise and shine kids".
"We're going to visit your mother", Williams said with a smirk.
It didn't take long for Williams to recognize Arnold as part of the family.
Arnold on the other hand never found it comfortable to say that Williams was his new dad.
Most of the time, he hid it from his friends, teachers and loved ones.
As well as he hid many other things that he did.
Arnold did find comfort whenever he left the house to go to school.
Sometimes he thought of leaving the house altogether.
Plus school had absolutely no Art User, well not to his knowledge.
His friends were more cooler than Favour and his life there felt more exciting than home.
Williams rarely witnessed Arnold smile, but his teachers noticed it many times.
Williams, as well also used this opportunity to return the hospital car lended to them when they arrived back to the hospital.
They all got in the car and as usual silence filled the air.
Arnold held his notebook in his hands while Williams occasionally looked back to check on Arnold.
Favour looked out the window also occasionally checking on Arnold.
"What you doing there", Williams broke the silence noticing the eagerness of Arnold while writing on his notebook.
"None of your business.... dad.
Just keep your eyes on the road", Arnold frowned and shifted his focus back to his notebook.
Arnold was as stubborn as a bear.
Williams had tried everything but it was not working. As though Arnold wanted to ignore him.
Even with all that, a smile emerged on the face of Williams as he drove.
'That is the first time he ever called me dad', Williams thought as he kept driving.
Arnold hardly spoke to anyone in his new family, especially when he was reminded of his parents.
Only his best friend in school, Josh saw him as a funny, cool headed but still bossy person.
Many others in school found him as average. Not too ignorant but not stubborn as well.
At least he felt dependent for his age in school, but isolated as he lived with his aunt.
Arnold tucked the book away as they arrived at the hospital.
It seemed worse than when they had arrived.
The sound of the hospital showed pure silence.
No staff, no security.
It was rundown and looked as though it was running on scraps.
Arnold once again trailed back deep in thoughts.
Finally, they arrived at the hospital room where Victoria stayed.
The hospital room was small and only a single doctor stayed in the room.
Williams rejoiced once he saw Victoria sitting on the hospital bed.
Favour ran towards Victoria as Victoria welcomed her in her cold arms.
Arnold didn't flinch.
He just stood at the door way admiring the different marks on the foreheads of Williams and Victoria as well as the serene environment of the hospital.
"Guys let hurry it up back to the car", Arnold then finally spoke looking eagered.
Finally, Victoria stood.
Her body pale as though she hadn't eaten for three days.
"Honey, what happened", Williams asked Victoria with worry.
Her legs looked as though she would collapse with every step.
Her eyes collapsing as she pointed towards the doctor.
Fury filled Williams' eyes.
"What did you do to my wife".
Arnold immediately noticed the same blue colour appear at the forehead of Williams although it was more of dark blue.
Victoria colour looked more of light blue.
The doctor in an instant grabbed a gun that laid on the table.
"Don't take another step or I'll shoot.
I'll kill both of you and get two sacred types for the price of one".
The plan came clear to Arnold. He planned on starving Victoria to death.
The news of three days was all a set up to try and starve Victoria to death.
Although his plan didn't work. Even with the four days off no food or water, Victoria didn't starve to death.
She was pale and hungry but not death.
Arnold was absolutely right.
The doctor noticed the mark on the forehead of Victoria and immediately recognized she was among the Salem type.
He was a man who would do anything to get a Sacred type and seeing this was the best opportunity.
The hospital set up was all fake.
Used to lure people who he hoped were Arts Users into the building and after three years of trying, it finally worked after Victoria arrived.
Arnold during his isolated time with the family managed to gain the ability to notice something that others could not.
What Arnold could see sitting down, another couldn't see even if the person climed the tallest tree.
Arnold loved the ability to easily notice a person's situation through a slight glance.
Although,it wasn't enough, the Sacred Types were all that he truly ever wanted.
Arnold immediately noticed the blue colour of Williams eyes.
It looked a different shade of blue than that of his mark which for him, was good to know.
Victoria stood behind him, as the doctor still held the gun in his hands.
"Let's not do anything crazy.
All I wanted was to be an Art User like all of you. Is that too much to ask?!".
Arnold could easily relate. Although he couldn't go as far as killing someone to get it. No matter how much he truly wanted it.
Faith brought the family to arrive at the right time to the hospital.
As the doctor reloaded the gun, the family arrived and in the blink of an eye stepped into the hospital room.
The doctor dropped the gun on the table and acted as though he did not have sinister intentions.
Arnold immediately recognized the fear spread all across the face of the doctor.
"He will not do it", Arnold spoke to Williams who still stared directly at the doctor, eyes burning as though he was ready to tear this man into pieces.
"I will shoot. Don't dare me", the man said, holding the gun firmly in his palms as sweat dropped to the floor.
No one especially not Williams, would have ever thought that he would use his abilities to deal with a person he so much annoyed.
No one spoke afterwards.
Utter silence.
Arnold and Favour stood behind the door while Victoria stood beside Williams both armed.
Arnold took out his note book ready to record whatever happened.
In a flash, the weak and distorted Victoria shot an eye laser directly beside the doctor.
He shifted his gaze, looking at the smoking wall beside him.
He trembled, his heart raced.
He wasn't sure if Victoria intended to miss or not.
He wasn't taking any chances. He held his gun now with both arms as his worry slowly turned to anger and desperation.
