More than an hour passed and all the fights finally ended.
Except for the one-sided match between Todoroki and Tsuyu against Sato and Ojiro, all the other battles were interesting to watch.
It gave each student more insights about their abilities as well as their classmates.
"Well done, students! There were no serious injuries and except for a few, everyone has shown great teamwork. Considering this was your first training exercise, you all did very well!"
All Might gave a thumbs up, making everyone's chest swell with pride at being praised by the Symbol of Peace.
Well, not everyone.
Bakugo, who returned in the middle of the match after having his arm fixed by Recovery Girl, just had an angry and unwilling expression.
In contrast, Midoriya had already recovered quite well. His face was determined as he glanced down at his fist, vowing not to disappoint All Might's expectations next time.
"Now then, class is over! Change out of your costumes and head back to the classroom."
"Thank you, All Might-sensei!"
All Might nodded and then with a whoosh, his figure vanished. In the process, Hiro saw slight amounts of steam being emitted from his body, signifying that he was already near his limit.
He shook his head. He deeply respected All Might and his ideals. However, the hero's actions of pushing his own body to the point of collapse just to help others is something he can't, nor is willing to do.
In other worlds, this is already a mental illness known as pathological altruism. But here, such acts of self-sacrifice are viewed as the pinnacle of heroism.
If he ever decides to become a hero one day, he'd be like Saitama- just a hero for fun. But that would only happen in the far future, when he has already traveled countless multiverses and is looking for a new pastime.
The rest of the day passed and school finally ended. Exhausted from the lessons and the battle training, no one proposed hanging out. They all just wanted to go home and rest.
Except for Hiro. He detoured to the super market to restock the orphanage's ingredients before heading back.
When he returned, he smoothly integrated into helping the Dean cook dinner. After that, he guided the older kids with their assignments before going to bed.
And the whole time, he was manually controlling his blood to pump through his body as Quirk Training.
The night passed and it was once again time for school. The morning classes were similarly normal like yesterday, and as for lunch time…
"Everyone, I made some extra cheesecakes. Have some and tell me what you think."
Hiro smiled and pushed forward seven slices of cheesecake- one for Momo, Mina, Jiro, Tsuyu, Kirishima, Kaminari, and himself.
It wiggled as he placed it on the table, its delicate appearance whetting everyone's appetite.
"Wait a minute! This is payback for yesterday, isn't it? You can't fool me. What did you hide inside?"
Just as everyone thanked him and reached out their spoon to have a taste, Mina suddenly shouted. She gazed triumphantly at the gently smiling Hiro, then at the delicious-looking treat.
"What are you talking about? It's just a normal cheesecake."
"Hmph. The Alien Prank Queen shall not fall for such an obvious trap. And you even want to involve everyone in your prank. That's too low level, Ryuga-chan~"
Mina 'admonished' Hiro. She looked down smugly at him, her hands crossed over her chest, waiting to see how he'd react at having his plan thwarted.
"If you don't want to eat, that's fine. More portions for everyone else then."
Hiro helplessly shook his head then took his slice of the cake. He smiled as he took a bite, quickly finishing it.
Seeing him eat without a problem, Momo and the others glanced in confusion at Mina, then at Hiro, and finally at the cake.
"Argh! Ryuga's so manly, I don't believe he'd play such tricks on us!"
Kirishima shouted and took a slice for himself. He gulped as he brought it close to his mouth, and when he took a bite, he let out an uncontrollable moan.
He didn't care how others viewed him. He gobbled up the remaining slice of his cake, and then sighed in bliss.
"Man, that was the most delicious thing ever! Thanks, Ryuga. Ashido, you were wrong. Ryuga really just wanted to treat us to a dessert."
"Huh? Was I- no wait, are you two in cahoots with each other to prank me?"
Mina gazed suspiciously at Kirishima and Ryugamine. Kirishima was too straightforward a person to lie. However, for Ryugamine to suddenly bring this cake on the day after her prank, she refused to believe there were no tricks involved.
However, when Momo and the others ate their portion of the cake and thoroughly enjoyed it, her determination wavered.
Did she really wrongly accuse Ryugamine?
"Honestly, Ashido. It's just a normal cheesecake. I made too much when I baked some earlier for my siblings, so I brought it as treats for everyone. Nothing more, nothing less."
Hiro said, pushing the last slice closer to the indecisive Mina.
Staring at the last piece of cake on the tupperware, Mina finally succumbed to the temptation and picked it up. She took a hesitant bite…and then her tastebuds exploded.
"Ish sho gooodd!!!"
How can a cheesecake be this delicious!? That creamy rich filling. The overlapping layers of sweetness intertwined with the sourness of cheese. Did Hiro really not put anything outrageous when making this?!
Hiro inwardly grinned at Mina's reaction. There's a reason why all the kids in the orphanage want him to be in-charge of cooking.
With his Biokinesis, his sense of taste has been enhanced to a level comparable to God's Tongue- able to distinguish all the subtleties in the flavor of the food he eats.
By profiling the taste of each ingredient in his mind, along with his perfect body coordination, his cooking has reached a level beyond what most can achieve.
Make the food unpalatable as revenge? That would be beneath him. Instead, he'd make it as delicious as possible. It would be so good that Mina's body would start to crave it.
For the next two days, Hiro continued to bring extras of the treats he made for the kids. Each portion he brought were slightly more than the previous day's, though Mina and the others didn't notice.
This peaceful everyday school life temporarily came to a pause as the weekend arrived.
Momo's proposal to study together at her house was postponed to next week due to Tsuyu and Kaminari having prior plans.
For Hiro, it was fine either way. From now until he fights AFO, he just planned to rest and relax after pushing himself for the past 13 years.
His growth has already reached a bottleneck. Unless his Quirk makes another breakthrough, the only way he could get stronger was by increasing his combat experience. And that wasn't something that could be rushed.
Right now, he was on his way to have some fun with a woman he matched on Grinder last night.
The pictures on her account hit his strike zone, and her flirtatious personality when they chatted made him look forward to this.
He stopped in front of Sakagura, a high-end restaurant that usually caters to the middle-upper class. To set this place as their meet-up location, it says a lot about his date's financial status.
He found the hostess standing beside the door and approached her with a gentle smile.
"Excuse me, I'm looking for a table reserved by Ms. Sayuri? My name is Ryuga."
"Ryuga-sama, please follow me. Sayuri-sama has already arrived."
The waiter politely bowed and began to lead the way. She led him through rows of tables, before stopping in front of the door of a private room and knocking.
"Sayuri-sama, Ryuga-sama has arrived."
"Ara? Please let him in."
Hiro paused and his eyes slightly widened as the familiar voice reached his ears. And when the hostess opened the door to reveal the woman inside, he inwardly groaned.
"Ryugamine-kun, you're late~ making a lady wait for you, such a bad boy needs to be taught a lesson."
"…Indeed. I'll treat you to a meal as an apology then, Midnight-sensei."
