The following days were relatively calm, with Vya trailing after Elysia every day as usual.
One could say she was acting like a tyrant, committing every wicked deed imaginable… cough, just kidding.
If Elysia was busy, Vya would either head to Mobius's lab or drop by Blanca's place. In short, she always had somewhere to belong now.
But, well, something rather amusing happened on this particular day.
Vya was following behind Mobius as she often did…
To be honest, Vya could actually make a decent guard. After all, there wasn't much out there that could truly threaten her.
Suddenly, a thumb-sized robot dropped from above them, heading straight for Mobius…
Luckily, Vya was quick on the uptake. She jumped up and caught it.
"Mobius sis, look! What's this?"
Vya held up the little thing for Mobius to see.
A closer look revealed it was a robot, and its craftsmanship was remarkably intricate.
Mobius glanced at it and clicked her tongue. "Tsk tsk, watching here, are we? Why is Elysia taking so long…"
She sounded somewhat displeased.
"Sis, what are you talking about? What about sis?"
"It's nothing. I just said Elysia's been gone for almost a whole day."
Mobius gave a perfunctory reply, though her deep concern for Elysia was obvious—even her excuses revolved around her.
(She truly cares, it's almost touching X﹏X)
"Oh, I see. When will she be back then?"
Vya asked curiously.
"Should be soon," Mobius said distractedly, her mind already on other pressing matters.
"What about this thing then?"
Vya lifted the little object in her hand.
"Keep it. Play with it."
Mobius dismissed it without a second thought.
"Okay."
Vya happily fiddled with the little gadget, completely unaware of what was happening beyond the terminal screen it was connected to.
What Vya also didn't know… was that the one with both the skill and the audacity to do this… was naturally the Vill-V she knew.
Rewinding to not long before…
The room was dimly lit, but the atmosphere was just right.
Vill-V was chewing her fingernails with keen interest… though it was a terrible habit, one she was already working on breaking.
"I should have put something on that girl…"
Vill-V was still thinking about Vya while her other hand operated the tiny robot. The feed was just about to come back.
Dividing her attention between two, even three things… was child's play for her.
The feed on the terminal finally came through. A door in the frame slowly opened, and Mobius walked out.
"Hmm… Just a green-haired auntie, is it?"
Vill-V muttered under her breath.
If Mobius heard that, she'd definitely be furious.
Just as she was about to maneuver the robot closer to eavesdrop…
A familiar figure emerged from behind the green-haired auntie.
Vill-V paused for a moment…
No, she wasn't mistaken. It was that little girl named Vya.
So she's on MOTH's turf now… things are getting more and more interesting…
Vill-V was lost in these thoughts, completely oblivious to what was about to befall her.
"Wow, I never imagined you'd already investigated this far. So impressive♪~"
A sweet voice suddenly rang out.
Exposed?
Vill-V paused again, but the voice didn't seem to be coming from the feed.
Why not look behind you then…
By the time she realized, Elysia was already leaning against her back.
Vill-V didn't move rashly; she still had some room to maneuver.
Elysia rested her chin on Vill-V's shoulder, getting a clear view of the screen.
"My, you are good. Isn't that my little Vya? She's so adorable, isn't she?"
Right now, the feed showed Vya looking straight into the lens, her fair little face exceptionally clear on the screen.
"It's you…?"
Vill-V recognized it. That voice was quite distinctive—the pink-haired woman who was with Eden, Vya's sister.
"I'm surprised you remember us, Chef Vill-V♪~ Your cooking was delicious, I still remember it clearly~"
"..."
"But I never imagined you had this other side, daring to challenge MOTH all by yourself♪~"
Elysia continued with a smile.
"Judging by the information you sent, I win this time~ Took me a whole day! Well done, you!"
"Hmm."
Vill-V responded with a simple sound.
"Don't be so cold. You're a lovely girl too. Let's have a nice chat first♪~ How about it?"
Elysia turned her head, her warm breath brushing against Vill-V's face.
Well, it tickled a bit.
...
Honestly, the fact that Vill-V dared to challenge an entire organization single-handedly spoke volumes about her capabilities.
Magician, chef, engineer… she was practically a genius prodigy.
Although the outcomes awaiting her were essentially two: either being recruited, or being locked up, since she was already considered a dangerous individual.
One thing that particularly irked Mobius was that Vill-V had dared to use her name to access classified information. Who gave her the nerve!
...
"Vill-V, we came to see you~"
As the main one who caught Vill-V, Elysia naturally had clearance for "visitation."
"Hmm. How do they plan to deal with me?" Vill-V leaned against the wall of the detention room, her tone calm.
"Don't assume the worst~" Elysia said with a smile. "You're such a clever and lovely girl. How about joining us? MOTH has great benefits♪~"
Vill-V didn't answer, which was answer enough.
She then crouched down to look at Vya. The little girl, delicate as a porcelain doll, waved at her.
"Is it alright you brought her here? I am a prisoner now," Vill-V asked.
"Of course it's alright♪~"
Elysia laughed lightly.
"Do you still remember me, little Vya?"
"Of course I remember you, Vill-V sis~"
This big sister was a chef, a magician, and the light about her was so peculiar.
Even though they hadn't spent much time together, Vya remembered her clearly.
"You two are sisters, right?"
"That's right, closer than real sisters♪~" Elysia said proudly.
Vill-V stood up, her gaze fixed on Elysia.
"…Is there something about her? Something you know?"
Vill-V's intuition was always sharp.
"Elysia doesn't know anything about that♪~"
Elysia's face still wore her signature smile.
"Vya doesn't know either♪~"
The little girl imitated her, shaking her head.
...
In the end, Vill-V was still dispatched to a remote, uninhabited island designated P-21.
It wasn't a bad outcome. And notably, Elysia continued to frequently take Vya to visit Vill-V.
(Alright, time for the Third Honkai Eruption (Ò ‸ Ó||))
