But she couldn't win. Half a minute later, Rin was sniffling with red-rimmed eyes.

"Senior, you aren't a gentleman at all."

How annoying. Every bit of the good first impression Kaito had left had vanished completely. Her sister hadn't lied—Kaito was definitely petty!

"Keep it up. Don't waste the favor your sister pulled for you."

Kaito slurped his milk tea, the fragrant aroma beginning to drift through the stairwell.

"I am NOT! A backdoor hire!!!"

Rin emphasized again, though her voice had grown significantly weaker. She muttered dejectedly, "I hate him."

Kaito didn't continue the conversation. His phone buzzed; he checked it and saw the Boss asking him to help pick up a delivery downstairs. He shot back a quick "OK."

It was just a quick errand. He left, leaving Rin standing there alone, stomping her feet in frustration.

The courier was at the bottom of the office building, currently in a standoff with a fuming girl.

"Hey, kid, is this your package?" The courier was trying to block her, looking exhausted.

"First! I am NOT a kid! Second! This is my sister's package, why shouldn't I be allowed to take it!"

The girl was like a cat that had its tail stepped on, fur standing on end instantly.

Kaito glanced over. He hadn't intended to meddle in someone else's business, but then he looked at the girl. Her long, gradient hair flowed all the way down to her ankles, and her golden eyes burned with obvious rage. This outfit, this vibe...

"Sirin?"

What a high-quality cosplayer. Should he take a photo and send it to the company group chat? Or was she actually "the real deal" appearing in the flesh?

"I didn't think anyone here would recognize me—"

Sirin instinctively brushed her bangs aside, preparing to see which observant mortal had spoken. But the moment her gaze landed on the man's face, her brief moment of elegance shattered instantly.

"Traitor!"

Damn you, Kaito. However, Sirin took one look at him and let the size difference cool her down. If she had known, she would have called Bella, Avrora... all of them over. She couldn't get her revenge alone.

Wait! Her little sister was here, and she'd been strong but simple-minded since they were kids!

"Your sister?" the courier asked casually, continuing to wait.

"Don't know her. Just a stranger," Kaito replied coldly, his voice just loud enough for everyone present to hear.

He walked over, recited the last four digits of the phone number, confirmed he was picking it up for a friend, and successfully took the package. The courier didn't care who took it as long as the process was correct.

"That's mine! Traitor!"

Sirin grit her teeth. Kaito's cold demeanor stung her nerves; it was exactly like when he abandoned everyone in her dreams! This traitor! He was just as heartless in reality as he was in the dream!

Kaito let out a soft sigh. He hated children who lived in their own little worlds. He turned and walked away decisively, having lost all interest in taking a photo.

"Kaito, you bastard, stop right there!"

Kaito paused. "You know me?"

Huh? But do I know her?

"Hmph, I wouldn't forget you even if you turned to ash."

Sirin puffed out her cheeks in anger. She had never abandoned her friends in all those dreams, but Kaito... his first act upon "reaching the surface" was to slice a researcher, and his second was to sacrifice his friends. She would remember that traitorous behavior for the rest of her life.

"Give me Kiana's package."

She extended her slender arm, blocking Kaito's path. Kaito gazed silently at the fuming brat, thinking things over. What was he thinking about? Certainly not giving her the package.

"How old are you this year?" he suddenly asked a very strange question.

Boss Bronya really has some guts, he thought. She wrote so many Schicksal people into the game; how did she get them to agree? Just because Kiana is the protagonist?

Schicksal and Anti-Entropy had been rivals for years. A decade or so ago, Anti-Entropy even played a dirty trick to "turn" the childhood friend of Schicksal's big shareholder... though Anti-Entropy always denied it.

"That's a secret." Sirin turned her head away.

"Pushing thirty, aren't you?"

Kaito could guess even if she didn't say it. He was twenty-five. Bronya was a year older at twenty-six, in the golden age of a mature "Big Sis" type. He'd heard Kiana and the Boss were in the same year at university, and Sirin was Kiana's older sister.

Ugh. Kaito's eyes filled with a trace of pity.

Sirin's fists tightened silently.

Kaito let out a light chuckle. "No one wants you because of your figure, right?"

As for her acting like a child, that was easy to understand. Most "leftover women" were like that. He even suspected his own sister was hitting early menopause. But there was nothing wrong with that—his sister had a great figure; curves in all the right places and a tiny waist. The "Big Sis" type had its advantages! Someone like Sirin, with no chest or butt, was the one who actually needed to worry.

You say Sirin is cute? If I wanted cute, why wouldn't I just have a daughter? Wouldn't that be cuter?

DAMN IT! Having her deepest insecurities poked repeatedly, veins popped on the back of Sirin's porcelain-white hand. She felt the strings of her sanity snapping one by one.

"I..."

"Magical girls don't age, right?" Kaito predicted her response.

He knew that line; Dr. Tesla said it often, and so did Professor Planck.

Heh. Hehe. Sirin stopped at the window, covering her face with her fingers, which looked faintly pink in the sunlight. However, the expression on her exquisite face was hideous. She wanted nothing more than to lung forward and skewer Kaito with a spear!

But she didn't, because lunging now would only lead to further humiliation.

"Alright, alright, it's not like I don't know the personality of you sisters."

Yesterday, Kiana had already shattered his fantasies; Kaito pretty much had the Kaslana family temperament figured out.

"You ran away from home too, didn't you? Keep up, I'll take you to Kiana."

Kaito shook his head, truly not understanding why Bronya was so close with the young ladies of Schicksal.

It wasn't over. Sirin's head suddenly felt heavy. Her beautiful golden eyes were filled with murderous intent, but Kaito acted as if he didn't see it and ruffled her hair again.

He seemed completely oblivious as he patted her twice more, concluding with a touch of emotion: "You're probably a shut-in too!"

He looked at Sirin's gradient hair trailing to the floor and estimated how much trouble it must be to do her hair, especially with those colors. As for how he knew... Elysia was the same. Doing her hair was a massive chore; it usually took Kaito over half an hour to help her.

Sirin clenched her fingers even tighter.

Amidst the "small talk," they arrived at Bronya's office. Kaito knocked on the door.

"Enter."

The cold, clear voice was more than familiar.

Kaito pushed the door open. His gaze was involuntarily drawn to the figure slumped over the desk. Kiana looked like a fish that had lost its dreams. Walking closer, he could see the exquisite 3D models completed on the computer, as well as the girl's dazed, blurry blue eyes.

Boss Bronya really is a capitalist... he critiqued silently.

Kiana had originally been a bit lightheaded from the modeling work, but the moment the door opened, she precisely caught sight of her "villainous" older sister radiating a low-pressure aura. Her vision blurred instantly.

There's a guide!!! There's a mole!!!

"Kiana~" Sirin's voice rang out eerily.

"Present!"

Kiana jolted, sitting up straight instantly.
