At the dinner table.

"Kaito."

Elysia's sweet, clear voice made Kaito a bit dazed. His sister seemed very happy today. Why? Was she that happy to sleep in the same bed as her brother?

Could that old Otaku Dr. Fal actually be right?

"I'm listening."

Kaito looked up to see Elysia resting her chin on her palm, watching him. A few loose strands of hair fell against her cheek, swaying gently as she spoke.

"You have to be careful of the bad women out there. Especially the ones who are older but short."

Elysia's tone was incredibly sincere, her face set in a serious expression as if she truly had his best interests at heart, yet two shallow dimples pinched the corners of her mouth.

Older but short... who is she talking about?

Sirin? Probably. It's not like Sis knows Dr. Tesla or Einstein.

"...To be honest, Sis, I don't think I've ever met a 'bad woman' in my life."

Speaking of boundaries, everyone he knew seemed to have them. The few who didn't were a full cycle older than him—his elders. As for classmates, he'd spent his school years studying hard... okay, actually, he'd spent them acting as her shield, which effectively stripped him of his dating rights.

He rubbed his chin, his gaze falling on his sister. Elysia was wearing an oversized white sweater today. Wait, that looks like mine. This girl was too lazy to even go back to her room to change!

"That's because they hide it well," Elysia stated with absolute conviction.

Sigh. Kaito let out a sudden sigh.

"Sis, this is reality, not a novel. We're well-off, sure, but we aren't worth a villain's time yet."

If that day ever came, it would be because Kaito couldn't handle the grind of life anymore and just plopped onto his knees before his mentor, saying: "Professor, if you don't mind, I'd like to take care of you in your old age."

"Like your many pursuers in the past—how many are left now that university is over and contact is cut?"

Kaito shrugged. One has to accept reality; how many soulmates do you really get to keep once you leave campus?

"I'm warning you precisely because those guys are still trying!"

Elysia stirred her pumpkin porridge until it looked thin enough to chug in large gulps.

Kaito: "..."

After a moment of silence, he held out his hand. "Give me your phone."

Elysia handed it over, curious. "What are you doing?"

"Helping you delete contacts. I don't want you to suffer in love, but I definitely don't want you becoming a 'player' either."

Kaito mostly felt it was unfair. He'd been restricted and managed by Elysia since he was a kid, preventing him from ever becoming a playboy. Why should she get to be a flirt?

Elysia: "..."

She opened her mouth, her pink lips pouting slightly. Kaito clicked into the Golden Courtyard group first, scanned the members, paused briefly on the IDs "Su" and "Sakura," and then moved on to others.

No wonder Dr. Fal didn't diagnose anything. He's the mentor of one of my sister's 'fox friends'.

Naturally evil old Otaku!

Then he searched for the pursuers his sister mentioned.

"Never mind. Just class groups. Forget I said anything." Kaito pushed the phone back a moment later.

Though he didn't know what use university class groups had now, everyone was in them; leaving would be a bit awkward.

"See, see? That's why you have to be careful of bad women."

Especially lately, since she was lounging at home and not working, her brother was completely unsupervised. Who knew what he was thinking about all day?

"You should worry about bad men first," Kaito muttered.

Even if they were a bit poor as kids, the idea that Kaito couldn't get a girlfriend was pure nonsense. So why didn't he have one?

It's all because of you, Elysia!

Because of her mountain of pursuers, he was forced to be her shield, leading everyone to believe he was some "winner at life" before university even started!

Breakfast ended. Seeing that his sister's mood was significantly brighter—her pale cheeks glowing with a healthy flush—Kaito prepared to head straight to work instead of staying to do the dishes.

"Wasting so much time this morning, won't you be late?"

Elysia checked her phone. A radiant smile graced her face. If her dream-self was that driven, her real self couldn't fall behind. Otherwise, with her mental state, her perception of time would only get more distorted.

I probably really am a bit crazy.

"It's fine. I'll just speed."

Besides, with 99% of cars being automated now, speeding was actually much easier for Kaito. The current AI was far more reliable than old human drivers. But his sister would definitely nag him; speeding wasn't a good habit... except when they were mending their bond.

"Take me with you. Let's go for a ride together."

"Next ti—Wait, Sis, what did you say?" Kaito turned back in shock, his eyes widening.

I don't even blame you anymore, Sis. You have delusions and a mental illness; we don't need to 'mend our bond,' I'll just admit I was wrong.

"Together!"

Elysia stood up energetically, the soft sweater outlining her slender waist. Kaito opened his mouth, glancing at the dirty dishes. You just don't want to wash the bowls, do you?

But his sister seemed genuinely excited. She hurried to her room and rummaged through her things, finding her long-neglected streaming equipment. Since everything was dead, she settled for just a selfie stick.

She looked like a primary schooler about to go on a field trip.

"An anime character once said that the things of the past eventually become obstacles and crises, so we must look forward."

Elysia tidied her hair, tying it back and letting it flow. As for her outfit... she chose her high school uniform!

Kaito: "..."

What decade of old anime have you been watching?! And why do you still have that uniform?!

Didn't you complain back then that it looked ugly?!

"Do I look good? It's Elysia: High School Limited Edition!"

She twirled happily on the spot, the oversized uniform jacket flaring out to reveal a white shirt collar. Although the uniform hid her curves, it made her neck look longer and her face smaller. Is that why everyone's faces looked smaller in school?

Kaito choked. "I just realized, Sis... you actually can look plain."

The baggy uniform completely masked her figure. Only a bit of her delicate neck was visible, and don't even get him started on the wide pant legs. From head to toe, only her pale, hydrated face stood out.

Yet, that face was smiling so radiantly, radiating a youthful aura that made Kaito feel displaced. What year is it again?

She even found a pair of canvas shoes. Kaito covered his face, peeking through his fingers, still unable to grasp what she was doing.

"Don't you think I look like a 'good girl' this way?" Elysia tilted her head, blinking innocently.

Kaito: "..."

"And?"

"And wouldn't it give you a lot of 'face' to be seen speeding around with a girl like this?" She lifted her chin, sounding perfectly reasonable!

Kaito opened his mouth to argue, looking at the "high schooler" with the blooming smile...

If I actually take her racing, my biker friends will probably turn me into dumpling filling... even if they can't actually beat me.
