Chapter 9 - Chapter-9: Victory

While the two clashed, Han and Neptune were fighting not far from them. The surroundings were covered in a crimson-black mist. The advantage was on Han's side. Neptune had deep cuts but continued to fight. Neptune hardened his three-pronged spear and swung it at Han's stomach. The Heir of Poseidon knew how to use this weapon well. The three-pronged spear was designed not to cut, but to pierce and gouge the opponent. Han's mastery of the sword was no less impressive next to him. In fact, Neptune had never seen anyone better than him in using this weapon. He had been trained by the best blacksmiths in the country since childhood. The technique Han used was different from all the techniques he had witnessed so far. He used the sword as if it were a part of his body, not just a weapon. Han blocked Neptune's spear with his sword. The force of the blow not only pushed the spear back but also opened a thin cut on the wall to their right.

The other fights had also begun. One was already over. Urania had defeated Amor. Amor tried to fight for a while when he couldn't use his power, but he was no match for Urania. It had only been seconds before Urania knocked him out with a kick to the head.

Diana and Hecate had barely fought at all. Hecate emerged from the darkness she created beneath Diana and leaped onto her. When Diana couldn't throw her off, she gave up and surrendered. Now, they were chatting.

Finally, the fight between Aurora and Luna was over before it began. Luna hit Aurora in the legs and arm with arrows she shot from afar before Aurora could see her. She deliberately aimed for non-vital points. How else would she capture her?

Returning to Magni and Sol's fight, the surroundings were shattered. Although Magni thought he was very fast, Sol must have been moving at almost the speed of light. Magni's body was bleeding with cuts. Although he couldn't feel the wounds due to the adrenaline, he was losing blood. Sol knew that this fight would end with a single blow if Magni managed to hit him. That's exactly why he focused all his attention on dodging incoming attacks rather than attacking. His plan was to tire Magni out over time, but he didn't look like he would tire at all. He continued to attack without showing any signs of slowing down or weakening. Although Sol hadn't realized it yet, Magni was not making his attacks without a plan. The places he hit were disrupting the building's balance. Finally, what he wanted happened. The 4-story building couldn't withstand the blows it took, and its bottom floor collapsed. Sol couldn't keep his balance due to the shaking from the building's collapse. Still, he managed to form the shield he couldn't make the last time against potential blows. The shield was thin but durable. Magni grabbed the corner of the collapsed building. He forced his hands from the exterior into the structure. Sol didn't quite understand what he was doing, but he finally realized. Magni,

"If I can't hit you with my fists, I'll hit you with this!"

He lifted the enormous building from its place with all his might and swung it at Sol.

The last word Magni heard from Sol was, "Shit..."

Sol disappeared from sight under the weight of the building and Magni's immense power. He wrapped his entire body in his shield before being hurled toward Han and Neptune, piercing a few walls. He crashed into Neptune, who was already in a difficult situation, and pinned him against the last wall with him. Han looked through the holes that had opened up and saw Magni at the very end, trying to pull out the building stuck in his hands. He had very strange feelings inside. He was happy that his captain was so strong, afraid of this power, and also found it hilarious. Although he tried to maintain his seriousness, he couldn't hold back his laughter and started laughing. Hearing this, Magni looked in the direction of the sound. The man he could call his right-hand was laughing hysterically. He laughed too. Neptune was lying unconscious on the ground. Sol was stunned, even though Magni's attack had reduced the force of the impact. He stood up, wiped the blood flowing from his split eyebrow with the back of his hand. He took Neptune behind him, reformed his spear of light, and took his position. Taking advantage of Magni's distance, he charged towards Han. Han deflected the tip of the spear with his sword. He transformed into a mist form and quickly moved behind Sol. Just as he was about to strike with his sword, Sol emitted a very bright light from his body.

Han missed his attack and swung his sword in the direction Magni was in. The force of the sword blow, despite being far from him, shattered the building Magni was holding. This was an opportunity not to be missed. The captain immediately moved next to Han. The surroundings became electrified as if struck by lightning. Han drew his sword after the glow in his eyes faded; Magni prepared his lightning-charged fists. Sol looked at his unconscious Vice-Captain lying on the ground. This was a fight he couldn't win. Sol had received training in combat and fighting since childhood. In this scenario, he had 2 options: either risk death and fight until his last breath, or surrender. Sol chose the logical option and surrendered. He sat on the ground with his back against Neptune.

Out of breath, he said, "Ha-ha, alright. Ah... I surrender. I can't fight the two of you, hah- at once."

Han looked at the cameras in the area,

"Does it count if we leave them here?"

Aidoneus announced over the loudspeakers,

"No, one of you has to bring them here or wait by them until everyone is captured."

"Alright, let's take them with us, Captain."

Magni, Han, Sol, and the immobilized Neptune started walking together. Neptune was on Han's back. Sol was walking next to Magni. Sol,

"Hey, Magni..."

"Yes?"

"How did you learn so fast?"

"What?"

"To control your power."

"I don't know?"

"It was as if you had been using your Heirloom for years. Especially when you ripped that building out of the ground."

"I wasn't sure I could do it. I guess I... I just believed."

"It took me a few centuries to learn how to control my power."

"A few centuries!? How old are you?"

"I said it figuratively. We're the same age, I'm 17 too. Seriously, I worked non-stop for years until I learned to control it. Yet, you can do it in less than a day. I really envy you."

"I don't know what to say, Sol."

After walking for a while, they encountered Urania, Hecate, Diana, and the unconscious Amor. Diana was sitting next to them, and they were chatting. Seeing Magni and Han approach, Urania got up and came over to them. She was horrified by their condition. All of them were covered in blood. Urania,

"What happened to you! Are you okay? Do you want us to call Aidoneus?"

Magni, "Calm down, Urania. We're fine. Sol and Neptune lost. What's the situation with you?"

"I defeated Amor, and Hecate said Diana surrendered."

Sol, clutching his ribs,

"WHAT! Why did you surrender, didn't you listen to my orders, you idiot!!!"

Diana, "You're too strict with all of us, you never asked for our opinions, you didn't listen to what we said."

Hecate, "Hey! Don't be so hard on her. She's right. Besides, this is just training. There's no harm in surrendering!"

"You are wrong! She acted on her own without listening to my orders. How can I know she won't do this against the enemy? That's what training is for!"

Magni, "Can't you argue later? Where is Aurora, by the way? She should have arrived by now."

Diana, "She must be fighting Luna."

Sol, "You gave her Luna to fight! Hahaha! Aurora must have already lost. Luna has a very wide range of vision. Her eyes are better than a hawk's and see far. She has no chance of winning against her!"

Magni, "Alright, Han!"

"Yes, Captain?"

"You stay with them. I'm going to rescue Aurora."

"But wh—"

"I want to test my limits a little. You wait by them. The training isn't over yet. If we leave them alone with Sol, they might get captured. I trust you."

"Got it, Captain. You can entrust this place to me."

"Good, I'm going."

Magni separated from the others and went after Luna alone. That feeling in his head was gone. He didn't know where to go. He ran to speed up, then jumped. Suddenly, he was in the sky. He could see the entire field as a whole. Just as he hung stationary in the air before starting to fall, an arrow pierced his left arm. The owner of the arrow was Luna. She had revealed her location. Magni had deliberately given himself away. But now, he also knew Luna's location. The moment he landed, he started running. He was very fast. He couldn't even look at the ground he was stepping on. Everything and everywhere was passing by. He started laughing. His laughter echoed throughout the whole area. It was very unsettling. The sky was covered with dark clouds. When he turned the corner, he saw Luna on the top of a 12-story building, aiming her bow at him. Countless arrows formed at the tip of the bow. Suddenly, arrows started raining down on him. Magni dodged as many as he could, but three arrows hit him. Two in his back, and one on the right side of his chest. Luna was surprised that only three of the hundreds of arrows she shot hit their mark. Magni continued to run without compromising his speed. He started running on the corners of the building. He was so fast that he could run on the walls.

Luna continued to shoot arrows from above. Magni dodged all of them and reached the edge of the building. However, he couldn't stop his speed and was launched into the sky. With the momentum of that moment, he flew hundreds of meters. Luna stopped attacking. She was looking for a place to escape. No one had ever gotten this close to her before. She threw herself onto the stairs and started running down. Magni's laughter merged with the thunder. As his speed slowed, he began to fall. He clenched his fist and tensed his arm. A lightning bolt coiled around him from the sky. He transferred the speed of the fall to his arm. With this power, he punched the top of the building. Luna, who was about to exit, fell to the ground with the tremor. The building was breaking apart. The upper floors collapsed, and the weight hit the ground. Luna was about to be buried under the rubble. A red mist enveloped the surroundings, and although Magni couldn't see inside the mist, he knew what was happening. He walked down from the top of the building, which had turned into a wreckage. Luna was in Han's arms. Han had arrived just before the building collapsed and saved her.

Magni, "I'm sorry, Luna. I didn't expect it to be this destructive."

"It's okay, my fault. I should have been more careful. I gave away my position. Am I the only one who lost?"

Han, "No, we defeated Sol and Neptune. Diana and Amor also lost to Hecate and Urania."

"Hmph, at least they won't make fun of me."

Aidoneus made an announcement.

"Training is over. The winning team is, Blue! Good job, kids. Now, everyone come here. We need to take the injured to the infirmary."

Magni and Han took Luna with them and went to the others. All members of the Blue Team were shouting cheers of joy. They had avenged yesterday's defeat. They were the winners this time. They enjoyed the moment until they returned to the school. Most of the Red Team was receiving treatment. Fortunately, no one was in a very serious condition. Han also received his treatment. The wounds he received were small but deep. Selkis told Magni that if he waited this long again for his wounds to be treated, the scars would be permanent. Despite being the best healer in the Greek region, there were some things even she couldn't do. After everyone was treated, the class went to dinner. The Blue Team was discussing how their fights went.

Urania, "Our Cosmyths didn't work against each other exactly as I predicted. So, I used that opportunity and lunged at him. I learned how to fight from the courses I took beforehand. Before Amor could even realize what was happening, I kicked him in the head. He was already unconscious and collapsed when I hit him."

Hecate, "My fight didn't really happen. Diana and I have known each other since childhood. That's why we didn't want to fight. Actually, even if we did fight, I could have won. I guess she's the weakest person among us. She was happy that she wasn't the weakest yesterday, but when Magni suddenly emerged with his power... That's how it is."

Aurora, "I couldn't even see Luna. A lot of arrows started coming at me from a very distant place. Although I managed to stop the ones after the first three arrows, I was too late. When I got hit by Luna, I moved behind the wall and took cover inside my shield. Anyway, Luna stopped attacking me afterward."

Han, "Neptune challenged me. He is very skilled with the spear he uses. Still, not to brag, but next to my sword mastery, he remains an ordinary person. He pierced me with the spear in my back and stomach. I also cut and tore him up with my sword strikes. As a result, I defeated him, but he managed to push me. I think he will defeat me if he improves himself a little more. Before the fight could drag on any longer, Sol suddenly smashed through the wall and knocked out Neptune. When I looked to the other end, Magni was trying to pull out the building in his hands. He looked so funny that I couldn't help but laugh."

Finally, Magni, "I can say Sol was the toughest fight of my life. He is a very strong person. Very fast. Whenever I thought I was about to catch him, he managed to escape. So, as a last resort, I decided to launch a larger-scale attack on him. While attacking Sol, I deliberately hit the building behind us. When the building's balance was disrupted, I grabbed its edge with my hands and told Sol, 'If I can't hit you with my fists, I'll hit you with this!' I lifted the building and swung it at him like a club. Even though he protected himself with his shield, he was thrown when he took such a powerful blow. Then, as Han said, he hit Neptune. Both collapsed to the ground, but Sol got back up. At first, he intended to fight two against one, but when he realized he couldn't defeat us both alone, he surrendered."

While this side was laughing and having fun, chaos reigned in the Red Team. Sol was angry at everyone, including himself.
