Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Three Spider-Men

Jack and the group returned to Stark Tower and went straight to the laboratory he had prepared before leaving.

Inside was advanced monitoring equipment that Pepper had specifically set up after Tony was kidnapped—just in case.

Dr. Helen Cho skillfully attached various instruments to Gwen, Little Peter, and Garfield-Spider.

Finally finishing, Helen Cho sat to the side, her legs weak.

"Jack, what are you doing? They all look perfectly healthy."

Wanda and Natasha were suspicious of Helen Cho's closeness to Jack, but they were also curious about his plan.

Jack gave a mysterious smile and approached Wanda.

"Dear, where's the spider?"

"Here." Wanda's Chaos Magic enveloped the spider, making it float in front of him.

Hearing Jack call that red-haired, big-chested woman "dear," Helen Cho's cheeks puffed out in anger. No need to think—Wanda must also be a "dear." What a playboy… and truly powerful. Her legs felt weak just watching.

Jack grabbed both sides of the spider and placed it on Gwen's arm.

The spider almost moved to tears—it could finally complete its mission. Despite Gwen's long hair and the heavy load making her center of gravity slightly unstable, she was one of the candidates. It just needed to bite.

The spider bit Gwen and injected the Spider-Man venom, completing its mission. Its human-like legs wiped away nonexistent sweat.

Spider: (︶.̮︶*)੭

However, it soon noticed something was wrong. The human hadn't released it; he placed it in front of another person.

Spider: ( ・ὢ・)?

Jack: (◦ಡωಡ)

"Wanda, control it. Have it bite this man, then Little Peter."

Spider: (ꐦథbeneficialథ)σ "No way! I'll be drained! This is the precious venom I've been saving for years!"

Despite Wanda's hesitation, she followed Jack's instructions.

Spider: "No! You can't do this! You're not even human!"

Ignoring the struggling spider, Wanda made it bite Garfield-Spider's neck and then Little Peter's neck.

Wanda released the spider, and its once-plump belly had shrunk dramatically, as if drained dry.

Spider: "You beast! You damn beast! The venom I've secretly saved for decades!"

With a flick of Jack's finger, the spider flew off and vanished.

Natasha had been watching Jack. Seeing him flick the spider away, her eyes instinctively followed it, then she saw it disappear.

Jack didn't care; he focused on the screens, observing the vitals of the three.

He thought: Gwen is hiding a lot. Becoming Ghost-Spider like this might make her center of gravity unstable.

Wanda couldn't sense the Chaos Magic on the spider.

"Jack, that spider's gone."

Jack shrugged. "It's fine. If it's gone, it's gone. Doesn't matter."

Satisfied, Wanda stopped worrying and stood with Natasha, forming an alliance to stay alert against any homewreckers.

They clearly understood Jack—any pretty girl nearby would tempt him. So the blame lay with the homewrecker, not him.

And Mei… why couldn't she help deal with the homewreckers instead of wanting a taste herself? Despite prior hints, she hesitated yet still ended up in his hands.

Soon, all three showed abnormalities. Gwen's temperature spiked sharply. Jack quickly injected them with the pre-prepared tonic nutrient solution.

"Jack, this girl's temperature is rising fast—already 43 degrees Celsius."

Helen Cho followed Wanda's lead, calling Jack "Jack" to signal loyalty. Wanda narrowed her eyes, sensing rivalry.

Jack waved his hand. "No rush, she'll be fine. Focus on Little Peter. If there's a life-threatening situation, give him this."

He pulled out a holy blessing potion, keeping it for Little Peter.

An hour later, Jack was dazed, Wanda leaning on him, both nearly asleep.

Natasha and Helen Cho—an agent and a researcher—were used to late nights, staying alert.

A tapping sound broke the silence. Jack instantly woke and looked at Little Peter's bed.

It was Pepper, preparing to leave work. Seeing the light, she came to check and froze.

Three people lay on treatment beds. Gwen had a 45°C fever; Little Peter's heart rate had reached 180.

"Jack, what are you doing? Quick, call a doctor!"

Jack stopped her. "Pepper, it's fine. This is normal. They'll recover soon. It's an experiment."

"Really?" Pepper eyed him suspiciously.

"Really. In a few hours, they'll be fine."

He pointed at the monitors. "See? Everything's normal; no alarms are active."

Pepper: "Swear you didn't just turn off the alarms."

Jack: (⌒﹏⌒;) "Of… of course not. Ahaha…"

"They'll recover in a few hours. This is the result of my research."

Wanda: (˵¯͒︵¯͒˵) "Research? Didn't you just let a spider bite them a few times?"

Natasha: (・ω・`ll)

Helen Cho: (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ "As expected, my man can lie with a straight face."

Pepper, seeing everyone normal, relaxed slightly.

"Promise me, no one will die here."

Jack patted his chest. "I guarantee it."

Inwardly, he thought: If there's trouble, I'll call Tony.

Pepper, busy as ever, left.

The next day, Jack prepared burgers for them, letting everyone sleep while he stayed to prevent panic.

Wanda, Natasha, and Helen Cho left. Jack kept watch for three hours. Once Little Peter's vitals normalized, he slept.

Early the next morning, Jack awoke to cardboard boxes being moved. Gwen and Garfield-Spider were eating burgers.

"No need to rush. I'll take you out later."

"Jack, why are we here? And that kid?" Gwen asked.

"You were kidnapped, and I saved you. You work for me to pay off your debt," Jack said casually.

Garfield-Spider didn't question it, believing him immediately.

Garfield-Spider: "How long do we work for you?"

Gwen rolled her eyes: (꒪ัд꒪ั*) "You believe everything he says? There's more we don't know."

Gwen, recalling past interactions with Jack, knew it wasn't simple but had no memory of last night.

"What about that kid? Has he woken up?"

Jack checked Little Peter's vitals, then shook him awake.

"Brother Jack?"

"See? He's awake."

Jack placed Little Peter in front of the burger pile.

"Eat first. You must be hungry."

Little Peter eagerly ate.

Ten minutes later, all three went to the bathroom, then felt hungry again.

Jack took them to the burger shop. Hungry as they were, he forbade running. He gave them bread first, then prepared Meat Sandwiches and burgers.

After an hour, they were stuffed, bellies round as if pregnant.

Jack rubbed Gwen's belly teasingly: "Gwen, our baby's due in three months. No 'fun' until then. I know it's hard to resist…"

Gwen slapped his hand and threw a plush doll at him.

"Training starts now. First, control your strength."

Jack placed three paper cups before them.

"Pick them up without breaking them."

Gwen and Garfield-Spider, noticing increased strength while eating, lightly crushed burgers before. Little Peter grabbed a cup and flattened it immediately.

The two adults were slightly stronger but similar.

They trained until Flash arrived.

"Boss, did our shop get robbed?"

Jack led him outside.

"It's fine. My friends went a little crazy last night; you don't need to come in today."

Flash frowned.

"You had a party and didn't invite me? Gwen and Peter were here, but not me?"

"Last night it was just me and Tony. They came this morning and cleaned up themselves."

Flash believed it instantly.

"Next party, call me."

"Next time." Jack noncommittally replied.

Returning inside, Jack saw the two adults' hands were sore, but Little Peter had fun without real training effect.

Jack ordered thousands more cups.

During this, Gwen and Garfield-Spider called their parents. Gwen's excuse: Dr. Connors had important business. Garfield-Spider copied her.

"Peter, practice hard. If tired, go see Mei." Little Peter obeyed silently.

Jack: "Practice freely. Supplies are plenty. Lose control, and you could crush family members."

They continued training.

Suddenly, the system prompted:

[Congratulations! Host created two Spider-Men. Reward: Bio-electric Adhesion Ability, Strength +20, Agility +10, Spirit +5.]

Jack smirked, patted Gwen's head, and left.

Gwen: (๑•̌.•̑)ˀ̣ˀ̣

Garfield-Spider: "You two seem close."

Little Peter: ╮( •́ω•̀ )╭ "Brother Jack is very attractive. Aunt May often calls him at night, saying she wants him to come over. But she never actually goes."

Gwen blushed, hearing one of May's secrets.

Garfield-Spider: "Little Peter, is your name Peter? And your Aunt May?"

Little Peter: "Peter Parker. Aunt May."

Gwen covered her mouth. Garfield-Spider was shocked.

Gwen: "Do you know this brother's name?"

Little Peter shook his head.

"He's also Peter Parker. His aunt is May Parker. His uncle is Ben Parker."

Little Peter's mood dropped.

"My Uncle Ben passed away. Also Ben Parker."

Gwen stepped back, letting Garfield-Spider comfort him.

"It's the past. I'll take you to meet Uncle Ben. You can call him that too."

Little Peter sniffled.

"But Aunt May can't marry him. She's going to marry Brother Jack."

Garfield-Spider smiled awkwardly.

"Of course, Aunt May will marry Jack… Wait, something's off?"

Gwen: ∑(°mouth°๑) Shocked and confused.
