Akari opened her eyes. She realized she had only passed out briefly, but sensed her surroundings were different; she was back. Akari quickly climbed out of the well, intent on reaching her house. She needed to accomplish something important before Inuyasha arrived.
Meanwhile, Inuyasha had just been attacked by Yura. Recovering quickly, he prepared to search for Akari at the well, intent on finding her before anything else happened.
"Umm, there is something strange.." He murmured. That woman said, "Protect the people here". Why did she say that? Maybe she knew about Yura? But how? He didn't sense Yura's presence before she appeared.
How did she do it when she couldn't even manage her own spiritual power as a novice? Was he just overthinking it? But her last confident way of looking, she knew something.
"Tsk..This is so tedious, I am only finding her, and I am not going to think of that now."

Akari succeeded in sending her mother and brother outside the house for at least a few hours. This time the 'thing' that guided her to fulfill her role did not resist. She didn't know if Yura would be stronger than in the original story, so she had to be prepared, and she could not risk her family.
Akari changed her clothes quickly and placed protective parchments throughout the entire house. Perhaps it was not useful, but it was better than nothing. At that moment, she heard her door open.
"Are you here?" Inuyasha called out, stepping into the room.
"Yes, you need me, don't you?" Akari responded. "We have to go now, my family can return any time." Inuyasha was a little surprised because she was being very cooperative. Akari looked at his clothes and told him,
"That demon is following you."
"What? But I can't feel her presence." Akari ran to the well, and she saw many threads of hair.
"Inuyasha cut off this hair." Akari covered it with her blood so Inuyasha could see it.
"I got it." Inuyasha cut it off, and the other threads of hair disappeared.
Akari sighed with relief and told Inuyasha.
"Inuyasha, I have a plan to defeat Yura. Do you want to hear it?" Inuyasha had this feeling again. She was behaving strangely.
"Why not? Say it." Inuyasha listened to her plan, and his face went from disbelief to surprise and then to calmness.
"You're really crazy, aren't you?" Inuyasha shook his head with an odd smile. "But I guess that is not that bad."
Akari smiled too and said. "Okay, let's go."
"Wait." Akari looked at him, confused. They already said everything, right?
"Take this and don't die." Akari felt the clothing cover her head and was amazed. Akari thought that even if other things could change, maybe the behavior of Inuyasha would probably remain the same.
Inuyasha emerged from the well and headed to Yura. Akari told him about Yura's weaknesses but he couldn't see the comb were her soul, so Akari would be in charge of that task. He had one role in Akari's plan: to distract. He didn't like to be bait but it was the only way.
Some thread hairs that tried to surround him. Inuyasha quickly cut it.
"You are here." Said Yura.
"Of course, I need that fragment to be mine." Yura laughed.
"Poor half-demon, you really believe you can snatch it from me?"
"Yeah"
Akari hid behind them and approached the main thread of hair. She could see the skull in the middle of the hair. She tightened the bowstring, although her target accuracy was not good with this kind of bow yet. It was enough to make it fall.
Yura realized that something was wrong when the arrow went through her hair
"How dare you?" Akari avoided her attack and ran to the skull when she felt the most powerful energy.
Inuyasha slowed down Yura, and although Akari told him it was no use, he pierced her heart with his claws. Yura stabbed his shoulder with her sword.
Inuyasha swore. "Crap, she was right." Yura threw her sword towards him, but it was just as it was about to strike him, it changed direction
"Damn it, you... Akari dodges it!" Akari didn't move. She quickly took a dagger and stabbed the skull with all her strength.
The sword stopped a few inches away from her. Akari sighed lightly; her fingers were trembling from fear.
Inuyasha walked towards her and said. "You like the adrenaline rush, aren't you?"
Akari mocked. "I would not call it that way." She took the fragment and told Inuyasha.
"We can go back now."
