Zeng Fumei drove Zhang Yeey to the school entrance.

Lin Xiaowen (Liu Kaize's mother) and Fumei took the elevator up to the tenth floor, where their company was located.
Fumei walked to her desk and sat down.
At that moment, Xiaowen walked up to her and said,
"Hello, I'm the new employee."
Fumei stood up, shook her hand, and said,
"Welcome, welcome, welcome."
Xiaowen said,
"Nice to meet you. My name is Lin Xiaowen."
Fumei replied politely,
"My name is Zeng Fumei."
They smiled at each other and then returned to their desks.
Lee Yan walked over and said to Fumei,
"Morning, Fumei."
Fumei replied politely,
"Morning."
Lee Yan glanced at Xiaowen, who was sitting across from Fumei, and asked,
"You must be the new colleague, right?"
Xiaowen stood up and said,
"Yes, yes, yes. My name is—"
Before Xiaowen could finish, Fumei interrupted,
"Xiaowen. Her name is Xiaowen."
Lee Yan and Xiaowen both looked at her. Lee Yan said,
"Alright, get back to work."
Xiaowen smiled and sat back down. After watching Lee Yan walk away, she asked Fumei,
"Do you like him?"
Fumei smiled and looked at her,
"I'm already a mother with a child. Don't joke around."
Xiaowen asked,
"Is your child also studying at that school?"
Fumei nodded.
"Yes."
Xiaowen said "Oh," and continued,
"My son studies there too. We just moved here last week."
Fumei asked with confusion,
"Why did you move here? Wasn't the previous place fine?"
Xiaowen frowned and said,
"There are two reasons. The first is that my child threatened someone with a knife at his previous school. After that, he was expelled, and no school was willing to accept him—only this one. The second reason is that my husband and I divorced. There were too many memories there, and I didn't want to stay there with my child any longer."
Fumei nodded and said,

Just then, someone rushed out of the elevator in a panic, tripped, and fell to the ground.
Everyone immediately stopped working and stood up, staring at him.
One person walked over, helped the fallen man up, and asked,

The man twitched a few times, then vomited blood. Suddenly, he widened his eyes, stared at the person holding him—and bit down.
Screams erupted as everyone began to flee.
One woman grabbed a chandelier and smashed it desperately at the zombie. The zombie stood up, looked at her, and then bit her.
Another colleague who had been bitten began to mutate. His body twisted and convulsed, his face rubbing against the floor as he slowly stood up.
Suddenly, it turned its head toward Fumei. Fumei was frozen in fear.
Seeing this, Lee Yan lifted a desk and threw it at the zombie. The desk, along with the zombie, shattered the glass and fell from the tenth floor.
The bitten female colleague, unable to see clearly, also fell out of the building together with the zombie.
Everyone let out a sigh of relief.
Xiaowen frantically pressed the elevator's open button. When the doors opened, Boss Wu appeared in front of her, startling her badly.
Boss Wu walked in and said,
"Everyone stay here. Don't go outside. This is the only safe place right now."
Lee Yan asked,
"What's happening outside?"
Boss Wu panted and said,
"I don't know. A group of people suddenly went crazy and started biting others everywhere."
Xiaowen asked,

"Boom!"
The shockwave shattered some of the mirrors inside the company.
A group of people inside the office, terrified, kept pressing the elevator buttons. When the doors opened, they all rushed inside. No matter how hard Boss Wu tried to stop them, he couldn't.
They pressed the button to go downstairs, and the elevator began to descend slowly.
At that moment, the only ones who chose to stay inside the company were Fumei, Lee Yan, Xiaowen, and Boss Wu.
They looked at each other, shaken.
Xiaowen picked up her phone and tried to call the police. She dialed for a long time, but no one answered.
Lee Yan walked over to the elevator and stared at the slowly rising elevator, feeling an uneasiness growing in his heart.
Suddenly, the entire building lost power.
The elevator doors slowly opened.
