"I have the car keys on me. Once we get out, follow me and run. Don't look back—get in the car immediately, understood?"
Xiaowen nodded and said,

Boss Wu looked toward three trash cans placed nearby, then walked over. He picked up the three lids and handed them to Lee Yan, Fumei, and Xiaowen.

Chapter Three: Korya Town
A zombie fell down the stairs, then stood back up as if nothing had happened.
Suddenly, Boss Wu shoved a trash can over the zombie's head and shouted to them,
"Go, now!"
Holding the trash can lids like shields, Lee Yan, Fumei, and Xiaowen slowly made their way down.
Boss Wu released the zombie. With its vision completely blocked, it began slamming wildly into the walls. Taking the opportunity, Boss Wu escaped.
They made it safely to the first floor without encountering any zombies.
Just as Fumei opened the door to step outside, a zombie was standing right in front of her.
Xiaowen shoved Fumei aside, knocking the zombie away, then turned to her and said,
"Lead the way!"
Fumei snapped out of it and sprinted toward her car, with the other three right behind her.
A zombie lunged at Xiaowen. Boss Wu rushed forward and tackled Xiaowen to the ground as the zombie flew over them. Lee Yan pulled the two of them up, and they kept running.
Fumei reached her car, opened the door, got in, and started the engine. The other three piled into the car right after her.
Watching zombies rush toward them, Lee Yan shouted nervously,
"Start the car, now!"
Fumei twisted the key frantically.
"I know, I know!"
When the zombies were only ten meters away, Fumei finally started the car and drove off.
However, three zombies had already latched onto the vehicle. Fumei could only drift wildly, shaking the zombies off the car and slamming into others around them. The people inside were thrown around, dizzy and disoriented.
Once all the zombies had fallen off, Fumei sped away.
Xiaowen said afterward,
"Honestly… that was thrilling."
Everyone burst out laughing.
On the way to the school, they passed through a street that was completely empty and in total chaos.
After that, they drove past a cemetery. A massive tree standing there immediately caught their attention. Xiaowen stared at it carefully—the tree looked to be nearly a hundred meters tall.

"Has that tree always been there?"
Boss Wu took a look and said,
"The history of that tree can be traced back several hundred years. Back then, the first group of Qing dynasty settlers discovered this land and occupied it. After China was unified, this area was taken over by our country, Jeot. Gradually, it developed into what is now Korya Town."
Xiaowen nodded in understanding.
Soon, they arrived at the entrance of the school.
After parking the car, Fumei got out along with the others. Boss Wu picked up a wooden stick with a sharp point from the ground and moved to the front.
