Jay-Jay's POV
When I turned around, I froze.
Yuri and Ci-N were holding my hands like I was a celebrity about to faint, with the rest of the squad standing behind them like backup dancers.
I gently pulled my hand out of Ci-N's grip and slid my backpack off Yuri.
"Where's Keifer?" I asked, already knowing something chaotic was happening.
David replied casually, "He slept in class. The teacher is talking to him. He'll be here in like… one minute. Or three."
Of course. CEO by night, professional napper by day.
"Call him," I told David. "Tell him to come be—"
Before I could finish, Mike interrupted loudly.
"Did you say Keifer?" he laughed.
"Like my twin, Mark Keifer Watson?"
Michael jumped in quickly.
"What twin? He's our mentor. Also a partner with me and Mike in our dad's company."
I almost laughed.
Ci-N raised an eyebrow. "You mean… the youngest CEO of Watson Corp?"
David and Yuri exchanged looks.
"This is going to be fun," they said together.
Ci-N leaned toward me. "K is on the way."
I nodded calmly on the outside.
On the inside?
Lord, please let this be dramatic.
Yuri quietly signaled Felix and Denzel to go buy me new donuts.
I saw it.
I stopped them immediately.
"No," I said sweetly, pointing at the 3M's.
"I want them to buy it for me."
Felix smiled. Denzel cracked his knuckles.
Two or three minutes later, Mike scoffed loudly.
"She's lying. I'm sure. She probably heard Keifer schools here and is using his name."
Then he smirked.
"Besides, his girlfriend must be way prettier than you, you little nothing-knowing tomboy whore."
Oh. He chose violence.
Before anyone could speak—
BOOM.
A basketball smashed directly into Mike's face.
The cafeteria went silent.
Mike yelled, "WHO DID THAT?!"
I turned.
It was Keifer.
Standing beside him… Adrian.
Oh wow. God really said today is cinema.
Keifer's POV
The teacher called me to the office, and Adrian followed, waiting outside like my unpaid bodyguard.
Then my phone buzzed.
Yuri: SOS JAY
My brain immediately left the office.
The teacher sighed.
"I know you're a CEO and have many responsibilities, but please try not to sleep during class. Inspectors come around."
She paused, then added,
"We have no complaints about your work. You're excellent academically. Just… stay awake."
"Yes, ma'am," I replied.
She nodded and dismissed me.
Outside, I turned to Adrian. "What's going on?"
Adrian shrugged. "All I know is there's an argument between Jay-Jay and the 3M's."
"The who?" I asked.
"The three guys who brag about their wealth, obsess over your accent and life story," Adrian explained.
"They're in Jay-Jay's English class. Also… partners with the Wats—"
I grabbed his shirt lightly. "Stop talking."
We reached the cafeteria doors.
That's when I heard it.
An insult.
About my Jay-Jay.
My jaw tightened.
I looked around, spotted a guy holding a basketball, and walked straight toward him.
"Can I borrow that?" I asked calmly.
He nodded.
Adrian started whisper-shouting, "Keifer… Keifer… KEIFER—"
Too late.
I threw the ball.
Straight at the idiot's face.
