"Hey, John, where do you think the King is taking us?" Inside the Mutant Evolution House, Gambler Remy LeBeau glanced at Lancelot walking ahead, then turned to the ghostly Western cowboy, John, and asked in a low voice.
"This is my first time in our King's Mutant Evolution House. How would I know?" Phantom John glanced at Remy with indifference.
John and Remy didn't know each other; today was the first time they met. Hearing Remy's question, John didn't want to speak. For him, casually talking about the matter would be disrespectful to the coming King, Lancelot.
"Hey, don't be so serious. Didn't you hear what King Lancelot said? We're comrades. Unless necessary, the King will give orders, but he won't restrict our freedom," Remy said lightly, twirling a short stick in his hand.
"Although my King Lancelot said that, I don't like talking to strangers, even strangers like you," John replied coldly, glancing at Remy before vanishing in an instant and reappearing behind Lancelot, silently following him.
"Sir, we are comrades. We must stand united," said a mutant with yellow scales on his face, touching his chest respectfully as he walked.
"We must show our worth to earn the King's and our comrades' favor. My name is Jack, Jack Yorkton. As you can see, the yellow scales on my face grant me extraordinary defense."
Jack Yorkton's eyes shone with excitement and fervor, his mind echoing the Mutant Glory theory engraved by Lancelot.
This was the first time Jack had been recognized. People usually called him "Fishscale Freak" because of the yellow scales covering his face. He had never imagined becoming a genius beyond humanity.
After encountering Lancelot, Jack realized he wasn't a strange monster, but a genius holding the key to evolution, walking a new evolutionary path, while humans were merely dull fools.
Jack almost fanatically embraced the Mutant Glory theory, believing that all humans were idiots, and only he and mutants were geniuses deserving their respect and worship.
"My King Lancelot, thank you for saving Anna. I will serve you loyally for life," Silver Fox Clara, following closely behind Lancelot, said with eyes full of zeal and adoration.
Since Lancelot saved her sister, she had fallen in love with the handsome young King. Clara, the Silver Fox, longed to become Queen.
"That woman… is truly beautiful," Clara turned to glance at Raven, who was walking to Lancelot's left, her golden eyes and refined features surpassing her own, sparking a hint of jealousy.
"My King Lancelot, that girl Clara seems to be looking at you strangely," Raven teased, sensing Clara's subtle hostility.
When Lancelot released his Geass, enveloping his body in a fiery red bird, not only did the mutants witness it, but even Raven standing by his side saw it. She willingly allowed Lancelot to mark her, for among the few gods following him, the mysterious Raven had already completely fallen.
"Sir, I am Clara." Before the words finished, Raven's body shivered violently and instantly transformed into Silver Fox Clara, striking an alluring pose.
"Raven, you look enchanting," Lancelot said strangely, pulling the transformed Raven into his arms.
The Mutant Evolution House's base was enormous. Lancelot led the mutants for five minutes, passing through the living area, information area, and training area, finally arriving at the heart of the facility.
In the core zone, countless top-tier biologists rushed back and forth, their eyes filled with astonishment and excitement.
"Fantastic! Truly fantastic! Dr. Darwin is a master of evolution,"
"Long live Dr. Darwin! Long live biological evolution!"
"As our King said, every mutant is a genius with the key to evolution, and Dr. Darwin is a pioneer in adaptive evolution research,"
"This is a miracle. In just one week, we've accelerated the natural evolution of humans by decades."
"This is no longer evolution—it's a leap of life itself."
The scientists marveled at a massive fish tank filled with blue seawater. Inside, a topless black man swam effortlessly, moving as he pleased.
"Dr. Graham, did you record the cellular transformation process this time?" The man surfaced, revealing prominent gills on his face that opened and closed continuously.
"Dr. Darwin, your cellular evolution process has been fully recorded. Now we need to collect some cells from your evolutionary organs for implantation and cloning, and a full-body scan is required," Dr. Graham said excitedly, still immersed in admiration.
"Is… is this a fishman?"
The other mutants, following Lancelot, were also astonished at the man in the tank. His appearance far exceeded their understanding. Even with gills and fish scales covering his body, his hands had transformed into swordfish-like fins, legs into a tail, and his back sprouted sharp spines, while his head resembled a tiger shark.
He looked almost identical to the mythical fishman.
"This is also our mutant robe," Lancelot said with admiration, gently waving at the man in the tank.
"Darwin, come meet our mutant companions."
