Chapter 28 - Chapter 28 White Queen Emma, Geass' Weakness

"Professor X intends to use his telepathy to control Wolverine, Logan?" Lancelot asked with interest, setting down the communicator in the Mutant Evolution House.

Through Senator Francis's report, he had learned everything that happened after the X Base was reduced to rubble, and he now understood Professor X's intentions.

"John, bring Francis back," Lancelot said calmly, gazing at the phantasmal John below the platform.

"At your command, my king," Phantom John replied, dressed in his western cowboy outfit, placing his right hand over his chest before vanishing from the hall.

Snap.

Almost instantly, Phantom John reappeared in front of the X Base ruins. Francis's eyes widened in shock as John grabbed his arm, teleporting them both back to Lancelot's side.

"My king," Francis stammered, disoriented. When he refocused, he saw Lancelot seated on the high platform, looking down at him. Collecting himself, Francis bowed respectfully.

"Francis, you may rest for now," Lancelot said, nodding and waving him away.

After Francis left, Lancelot tapped the table again with his right hand, contemplating his next move while gaining a clearer understanding of Professor X.

As the future had suggested, the young Professor X was a complete schemer—a fact made evident by his plan to manipulate Wolverine through telepathy when faced with a crisis.

"Come, my fellow mutants. The White Queen Emma now needs our help," Lancelot said, raising his head and extending his hand to Raven.

The other mutants understood immediately, leaping onto the platform. Together, they formed a circle, with Lancelot holding Raven and Silver Fox Kara, his gaze fixed on Phantom John.

"The CIA headquarters," Lancelot declared as their destination. Phantom John closed his eyes.

Whoosh.

In an instant, Lancelot and the mutants vanished from the Mutant Evolution House.

When Lancelot opened his eyes again, he realized they had traveled hundreds of kilometers to the CIA headquarters, landing in Senator Hanfurson's office.

"My king," Hanfurson said, finishing his call with the President. He wasn't surprised by their sudden appearance and quickly approached Lancelot.

"Hanfurson, take us to see Emma," Lancelot commanded.

"Yes, my king," Hanfurson replied, leading Lancelot and the mutants to a lavish room.

Pushing the door open, Lancelot immediately saw the blonde beauty seated on a luxurious sofa, leisurely sipping red wine.

White Queen Emma Frost.

Her extraordinary beauty and figure radiated sensuality and elegance, as if sculpted by the heavens themselves—so enchanting that even Lancelot, master of the Geass and wielder of the Raven of Illusions, could not resist her allure.

At this moment, her attire matched exactly what she had worn in Moscow: a stylish white cloak paired with a trendsetting miniskirt. Her fair skin enhanced her aura of sophistication.

Like a princess from a fairy tale, she captivated everyone's attention.

"Mutants?" Emma said gracefully, not realizing she was a captive, her lips curving into a faint smile.

Her telepathy allowed her to sense that the people before her were her own kind, leaving the White Queen both surprised and wary.

Since being captured by Professor X and Magneto, Emma had been brought here by CIA agents. Initially, she had feared human experimentation and had spent the first two days trying to manipulate the agents with her telepathy to escape.

But soon she realized the shocking truth: while she could read their memories, thoughts, and even attempt to influence them, she could not escape the room. Any direct commands, such as "Let me leave" or "Do not stop me from leaving," were completely ineffective.

Even trying to extract their deepest secrets or control their obedience proved futile.

Over time, Emma discovered that these agents' minds contained an unknown mental imprint, far beyond their own telepathy—a mental firewall that nullified her powers.

For days she had tried probing their memories, but no matter how hard she tried, the agents' minds remained impenetrable.

"Emma Frost, White Queen of the Hellfire Club, my dear mutant ally," Lancelot said, a small smile on his lips. Before she could react, a beautiful bird emerged from his gaze.

"Geass!" Facing a telepath like Emma, Lancelot showed no arrogance, unleashing his Geass.

"Obey me." He attempted to issue an absolute command. However, his Geass had little effect.

Emma, though momentarily puzzled, remained clear-eyed and resolute.

This revealed the inherent limitation of Geass: it cannot directly override telepaths or individuals with extraordinary willpower—such as Professor X, Emma Frost, or even Captain America, Steve Rogers. Lancelot's Geass could not impose absolute control over their minds.
