Chapter 9 - A Light Drizzle...

A drizzle of rain was falling as they arrived at the cemetery.

The driver ran out and opened the door holding an umbrella for her.

She took it, "Thank you, Georgie.

He nodded with a light smile and stepped back.

Quietly, she walks away heading to her sister's grave.

"Hi, Vero ", she muttered, placing the flowers she had bought on the way to her grave. "A lot has happened, I have a kid now and a husband.

She breathed, "Mom has been admitted to the best hospital and is doing okay. Her surgery will happen next week"

Her tears stung, but she held on, "You know I finally got the chance to show off my acting and am doing my best at it..."

"You know about my husband and child it happened so suddenly I still can't believe it sometimes " She sighed...."It's a contract Marriage and I know it sounds fake which it is but I'm helping this cute little girl and it makes me smile too and as for her father, he has helped me a lot since we met ".

She sniffed, "I just know you would have been so happy for me ..." This was followed by silence as her tears fell.

"I miss you ....I miss you so much " she burst into tears. Her knees gave away, dropping her down and Andria let go of the umbrella as she covered her eyes, trying to stop her crying, but they just kept coming.

The rain slowly drenched her but she didn't care as she moved closer to her sister's grave.

"I still can't believe you're gone, Vero. A lot of good things have happened recently, and I keep wishing you were here to enjoy them with us.

Andria stayed frozen in place for a while until she heard footsteps approaching.

"Madam ..what are you doing ?" she heard George's voice as he ran to her.

He held an umbrella over her, "Please get up, let's get you out of the rain ", but Andria didn't move.

"If you get sick, I will be in trouble ", he muttered as he slowly slid his hand to her arm, helping her up. Andria glanced at his worried face and nodded getting up.

George drove her back in a rush; he seemed to be worried about her, but Andria didn't seem to be.

With George's help, Andria walked into the house. The maids noticed them and rushed to her.

"What happened ?" the head maid asked.

"She got drenched in the rain, please help her" he said.

The other maid who had rushed off returned with towels wrapping Andria in them, who was shivering now.

"What is going on?" They all turned to see Karlye up on the stairs.

"Ah, it's...."

He frowned when he saw Andria's condition.

They all stood back when he rushed over to her.

"Hi your okay ?" he asked.

She raised her head, facing him, and nodded.

"I am... maybe just a little cold ", she mouthed.

He sighed, her eyes looked sad holding back tears. Wrapping the towel around her, Karlye carried her up in his arms and walked off.

The others watched as he went up the stairs and into his rooms.

"I think I'm in trouble ", muttered George.
