Chapter 11 - Move Into Room.

Andria felt something move next to her. Opening her eyes, she saw a small hand pull her arm; it was Myra trying to wrap Andria's arm around her.

She breathed, smiling, and gently pulled the little girl into her embrace.

"Hi, little one " she muttered.

Myra looked up to her with a smile, then placed her hand on her mouth, making a shh sound.

"Daddy is sleeping too" she pointed back at Karlye.

Andria blinked seeing him sleeping opposite her. She nodded pulling the covers over them again.

Had they been sleeping together, when had he returned?

Andria went back to sleep holding Myra close to her.

Karlye woke up a few minutes later to see his daughter sleeping next to him. Andria was holding her in her arms.

He scoffed, sitting up. He had wondered when she would get there. Quietly, he carried her back to her room, then got back.

Andria moved when he entered the bed again, her hand moving around in bed.

Karlye frowned. Was she looking for Myra? Slowly he grabbed her hand and was going to say something when she pulled him back down.

Now, laying his head in her chest, he breathed as her arms engulfed him pulling him closer to her.

He was silent as she settled down, and when her breathing stabilised, he realised he could hear her heartbeat.

It was loud and beat with a calm yet fast pace; it was soothing, and Karlye slowly faded into the warmth of her arms.

.....

Andria woke up to the sound of a knock on the door. Opening her eyes, she muttered Come in.

"Morning ...oh, I think I should come back later ", it was Trevor's panicking voice.

Andria frowned, looking at him, and realised he was looking next to her.

Was it Myra ...what happened, she moved, looking down next to her.

Andria gasped, flinching when she realised it wasn't Myra in her arms anymore, but Karlye. He seemed to be still sleeping with her arms holding him closer to her.

Andria frowned. When did... where was Myra ...was it a dream... but she clearly remembered Myra being there.

Trevor rushed out, closing the door.

Karlye shifted but didn't wake up, his arms were around her waist. She wanted to pull away but also didn't want to wake him up.

Quietly, she lay back down. Karlye moved closer, seeking her warmth.

Andria found herself smiling as she watched his sleeping face, he looked different, especially with his hair down now. His eyebrows were calm and his face held a peaceful look, different from his usual cold and serious look.

Yesterday, he had not asked her what had happened; it was like he knew she didn't want to be asked.

Andria breathed lost in thought.

She breathed, realising he must have felt such feelings once since he had lost his wife abruptly. When she had asked about her, all he said was that she had died in an accident.

But Andria thought something more must have happened, for only a few people knew about her death. It was like he had kept it a secret for a reason.

And since his wife rarely appeared in public, it had been easy to keep it under wraps...but what was it he was hiding?

She felt him move and looked down to see Karlye open his eyes.

"You're awake ", she mouthed.

Realising what was going on, he slowly pulled his arms away from her waist, and Andria took hers back too.

"I am sorry, I don't know how, but I thought I was holding Myra ", she said.

He breathed pushing his hair from his face.

"You were ...I took her back to bed after she fell asleep " he said.

"Oh, then...."

"Then you mistook me for her and didn't let go " he stepped out of bed.

"I am sorry, I must have been half asleep ", Andria let out.

"Don't be ...I slept peacefully because of you " he muttered.

"Oh.... I'm glad then", she looked away.

Karlye glanced at her, "Start using this room " he said.

"Huh...but this is your room ?" she said.

"Mmm, I know, he said, leaning back against the bathroom door. He looked at her.

"But then I can't use it, and I have my own bedroom ", she explained.

Karlye scoffed, "I know, but now I want you to start using this. I will have the maids move your stuff later.

Then, without waiting for her reply, I entered the bathroom and closed the door.

She sat blankly in silence, wondering if such an incident would happen again if they stayed in the same room now.
