The moon was unusually large and red that night.
It seemed as if the sky itself was about to bear witness to a secret.
Elena stood in front of Seraph. Her heartbeat was ringing in her ears.
"Prince…?" She said again in a trembling voice.
"Did you hear? That voice called you prince."
Seraph lowered his eyes. The moment he had been running from for centuries
had finally arrived. "Elena…" His voice was heavy "If I tell you the truth
then you may never forgive me." Elena took a step back and said:
"I am ready to hear the truth. But I cannot live with a lie."
The wind picked up. The candles in the palace began to go out by themselves.
The marks of ancient snakes glittered on the walls.
Seraph closed his eyes. "Then see… what I am."
Suddenly, the ground began to shake. Elena screamed and tried to retreat, but her feet seemed to be stuck to the ground. Blue and golden light began to emanate from the seraph's body. Its eyes were no longer human — they were vertical, snake-like. "This… what's happening?!" Elena's voice broke. The seraph's hands began to turn into glowing shards. Its spine lengthened. A golden tail emerged from behind its waist, waving in the air. In an instant, it was no longer human. In front of Elena stood a gigantic golden snake — its body shining like moonlight, ancient wisdom in its eyes, and only one name in its heart: Elena. "No..."
Elena fell to the ground "This is a dream... This can't be true..."
The snake slowly bowed its head. "I didn't deceive you,"
its voice was still Seraphic "I just hid myself."
Elena was backing away, crying. "You…You are the one
I have been afraid of!" Her heart was screaming but her eyes
couldn't leave the Seraph. "I am the Prince of Snakes," the Seraph said
"Heir of Serpentia. My real name is Seraphion." Only one word
was ringing in Elena's ears: Snake. "So you lied every moment?!"
She screamed. "No!"
The Seraph's voice echoed, "Every moment I saved you. Every moment
I loved you." He bent his head closer to Elena's but did not touch "I didn't want you
just for being a human,b ut for your soul." Elena kept trembling
"I need time..."She cried "This is all too much."
Suddenly, laughter echoed. "What a beautiful sight!"
Zarin stepped out of the shadows. Her eyes sparkled with triumph.
"A human girl caught between love and hate."
Elena tried to hide behind the seraph in fear, but stopped.
"I am not hers!" She screamed. "I am no one's!"
The seraph raised its head angrily. "Zarin!
Take one more step and your end will be written here!"
Zarin laughed. "She will be afraid of you, Seraph.
Humans are always afraid of us." She chanted a spell.
Black snakes emerged from the ground. Suddenly, golden light burst from Elena's hand. "Stop it! "Her voice echoed.
The black snake burned to ashes. Seraph was shocked.
"Elena…You—" "I may be afraid,"
she said "But I am not weak." Zareen stepped back. "This is not possible…Golden light in a human?!" Seraph said softly:
"He is not an ordinary human." After the fight, silence fell.
The seraph regained his human form. But there was still a glint of a snake in his eyes.
Elena looked at him. Tears in his eyes. But the same attraction in his heart "I'm afraid of you..."
She said "But I can't lose you either." The seraph reached out But stopped.
"If you leave I won't stop you." Elena thought for a moment…Then
she held his hand. "I have to live with the truth,"
She said "No matter how dangerous it is."
Tears came into the seraph's eyes. Suddenly, an ancient inscription appeared in the sky:
"When a man loves a snake prince, either both worlds will be saved or both will burn."
Elena looked up at the sky. "What does this mean?"
The seraph's face became serious. "It means..."he said
"That now we are both on target." Somewhere in the distance, a war horn sounded. Another enemy had awakened.
