The atmosphere of Serpentia had changed that night.
The air no longer smelled of magic, but of the iron, blood, and fear of war.
The clouds in the sky were writhing like snakes, and the moon
Looked as if it had been cursed by some ancient curse. Elena was still in Seraph's arms.
Her heartbeat was beating against Seraph's chest,as if their breaths
were tied together by a single destiny.
"Everything will be fine," Seraph said softly, even though he himself knew that it was a lie.
Suddenly, magical bells rang out all around the palace.
Dooooooooooooooooooooom—!
The ground shook. "They've come..."
The seraph's voice was filled with anger and fear. Elena asked in shock:
"Who?" Before she could answer,
the palace doors exploded. Amidst the darkness, smoke, and black magic,
Zareen appeared. Her eyes were as red as blood, and behind her an army of black serpents. "Tonight," Zareen's voice echoed, "Either the golden girl will die,
or Serpentia will burn." Elena's heart sank. Seraph followed Elena.
"Get out of here," he ordered.
"No!"
Elena grabbed his hand, "I won't leave you alone!"
Seraph shouted at her for the first time: "If you stop, you'll die!"
Tears filled Elena's eyes. "So do you think that living without you is life?"
For a moment, Seraph's heart broke. But war waits for no love. Zarin raised his hand.
The ground split. Black serpents began to descend from the sky,
poisonous fire coming from their mouths. The seraph closed his eyes.
And then—He changed. His human form dissolved in his breath,
and in its place a great, golden serpent emerged.
Ancient marks flashed on his body, and in his eyes, crazy love and rage.
"If anyone touches Elena..." The seraph's thunderous voice echoed,
"Then I will poison this world!" Elena stared at him.
Fear... And love... Both together. In the midst of the battle, a black serpent lunged towards Elena. Elena screamed. Suddenly, golden light burst from its body. The serpent's mark began to burn. "Stop!" Elena's voice echoed—so powerful that the air trembled. The black serpent turned to ash in the air. Everyone stopped. "This girl..." A serpent from the council whispered, "This is not just a trial... This is destruction." Zarin smiled.
"You made a mistake, prince." Suddenly, he plunged the black dagger into the ground.
A circle formed— magical, ancient, unbreakable. "This door will separate two destinies,"
Zarin said. Elena felt the ground disappear beneath her feet. "Seraph!" She screamed.
The seraph tried to move towards her— but it was too late. The ground swallowed Elena.
"No—!!!"
Elena's scream dissolved in air. Only silence. The seraph became human and
dropped to his knees on the ground. "Elena..."
His voice broke. Something had broken— his heart?
or his mind?
His eyes were filled with madness. "You took her from me..."
He spoke softly, then screamed— "I will kill everyone!"
The golden poison spread across the ground. The enemies began to scream.
The seraph alone crumpled across the field— no law, no mercy.
On the other side— It was dark.It was silent.
When Elena opened her eyes, she was in a strange world.
The sky was red, the ground was black, and the air smelled of death.
"This… where am I?" A shadow stepped forward.
"The place where the half-serpent will either be made whole…"
The shadow smiled, "Or erased forever."
Elena's heart trembled.
In Serpentia, the Seraph stood in blood and poison. In his eyes, there was only one name: Elena. And in the other world, Elena faced his greatest test. A choice. A sacrifice. And a truth that could tear them both apart. The war was not over… it had only just begun.
