Chapter 9 - The Serpent Prince’s Forbidden Love

Serpentia's night was not ordinary that day.

The moon was half hidden in the sky,

as if the light itself was afraid.

There was a rustling in the air,

and something was twisting beneath the ground.

Elena stood on the balcony of the palace.

Her eyes were fixed on the dark forest in the distance,

but her heart was drawn to the seraph.

She knew now

that he was no longer an ordinary man,

and the seraph was no ordinary man.

Nevertheless,

her heart still beat for him.

"Why are you standing here alone?"

Seraph's voice came from behind.

Elena was startled.

"I can't sleep, "she said softly

"Every time I close my eyes

I see shadows."

Seraph stood next to her. In the moonlight

His golden hair shone like snake skin.

"This palace is safe, "he said

"No one can harm you."

Elena smiled bitterly and said:

"That's what you used to say too

until the truth came out."

Seraph's heart was pierced.

"I didn't betray you,"

he said in a low voice

"I just kept quiet out of fear of losing you."

Elena looked at him. Question in her eyes

And pain in her heart.

"I need time, Seraph...

But I can't even walk away from you."

The seraph gently held her hand.

"I will wait,

even if it takes me centuries."

At that moment, in the dark hall beneath the palace, Zareen stood. Before her stood the ancient sacrificial circle. Black snakes coiled around it. "Love is the greatest weakness," she murmured, "and today I will strike at that weakness." She raised her dagger. A dagger marked with the teeth of a snake. "The blood of a human girl will drive the prince mad."

Suddenly, the sirens in the palace started to sound.

The ground started to shake.

The statues of snakes on the walls started to come alive.

"What is happening?!"

Elena screamed.

The Seraph's eyes changed. "She's here...Zarin."

Suddenly, the ceiling cracked. Black smoke

and dozens of black snakes wrapped around it

entered the palace. "Elena, step back!"

The Seraph roared. But it was too late.

A black shadow swooped towards Elena.

"Elena!!!" The Seraph ran

but the power of the Tsarina was stopping him.

The black snake bit Elena. A scream

resounded throughout the palace.

Elena fell to the ground. Golden light started to burst from her hand

But at the same time, her breath started to scatter.

"No..."The Seraph's voice broke.

At that moment, something inside the Seraph broke. Love, fear, and anger all exploded at once. His body began to break human boundaries. The golden snake stood in the middle of the palace in all its glory. There was only one emotion in his eyes: destruction. "Zarin!!!" His roar tore the sky apart. He exhaled. The entire palace shook. The black snakes began to burn to ashes.

Zareen laughed. "Finally,

you've shown your true form."

Seraph pounced on him. The battle of the snakes

was like the earth would explode.

Blue, golden, and black magic were clashing.

Elena was watching it all, semi-conscious.

"Seraph..."Her lips moved

"Don't... die..."

The Seraph looked at Elena.

Her blood was flowing on the ground.

"If something happens to you..."

She said to herself "Then this world will end for me."

She made up her mind.

She placed her poison on Elena's wound.

"This is forbidden..."Her heart screamed

"This is forbidden for princes..."But she didn't care.

Elena's body was bathed in light.

The wound began to heal, but along with it,

the snake mark on her hand grew deeper.

Zareen stepped back. "This is impossible..."

she muttered "You changed him..."

The seraph was panting. Weak

but alive. Elena opened her eyes.

"Seraph..." she whispered

"I'm alive..." Suddenly

the sky turned black. An ancient voice rang out:

"The human girl is no longer human…

The snake prince's poison The fate has changed…

Now the next step is either the throne or the grave."

Elena looked at her hand. Fear in her eyes.

"Seraph..."She said

"What is happening to me?"

The seraph's face turned white.

"I saved you…"He said, "But perhaps

I have made you a part of this world."

Somewhere far away, the war horn sounded again. This time,

it was not just Tsarina. The royal council had awakened.
