He's not too fond of animals but is kind to them .
He appreciates nature and loves gardening.
He's a bit picky when it comes around food but appreciates home cooked meals.
He likes travelling and doesn't stay too long inside his house.
He likes listening to lectures and enjoys healthy discussion.
He loves the library and spend a lot of time there .
Even though he's a picky eater, he loves spicy food.
....
I noticed him when we were in middle school, wearing second hand uniform and a bag that's clearly been repaired several times.
He's clearly poor but his optimistic outlook in life earned him popularity.
He was taller than his age and skinnier than most of the boys. But his kindness and intelligence earned their respect.
Sometimes he goes to school without his lunch box but he never goes hungry since a lot of people gave him all kinds of food and shared their lunches with him.
He's very popular even though he's not rich. He had a lot of friends and even the upperclassmen had respect for him.
But even though he was very outgoing, he usually goes to the library to be by himself.
He usually helps out at the library and I noticed that he always placed books that I am interested always in the front and easier to reach. I was too shy to thank him.
I noticed that he loves astronomy. I caught a glimpse of him reading some books about astronomy. It would be fun talking to him.
....
His favorite subject was science.
And he was good in first aid whenever someone got hurt.
He also loves music and enjoys listening to it.
He was so good in answering trivias that he won in a contest where I once joined.
He's always the best in academics.
Though he may be outgoing, he never ran for being the class president even though he will be good at it.
....
I never knew when he started learning how to play musical instruments but he learned fast and he was so good at it .
He was also athletic and managed to become a valuable member of the team. I enjoyed watching him practice with his teammates and always cheer for him.
Although he's very friendly with people, I always wondered why he won't talk to me. Either he just nods or shrugs. Maybe he doesn't like me.
....
Still, I kept trying. I smiled at him whenever our paths crossed and eventually he started smiling at me, though he doesn't talk much.
After some time, I got asked out by a classmate of mine. I liked the attention so eventually I got my first boyfriend. It felt nice at first, but eventually got exhausting as all he wanted to do is for me to just accompany him wherever he wanted to go. I wanted to talk about almost everything, having deep conversations and sharing dreams but either he just stare ahead or just change topic.
Eventually, we broke up. As expected.
....
Years went by and I've got my share of boyfriends that didn't last.
Ian became more popular especially in high school and he eventually became the student body president. As usual, he was being kind to everybody, even to me, in which there was an instance where during our field trip, he included a trip to the planetarium which I loved. I tried to thank him but as usual, he just shrugged and didn't talk much. I was smiling though. It was at this time that I admitted to myself that I liked him.
....
I was hoping, along with dozens of girls, that he would ask me out in our school dance. But I mentally told myself that it was too presumptuous of me to even thought about that. So I asked a gay friend of mine at the end.
I heard he didn't go with someone.
Or maybe he got rejected.
I overheard someone talking that he had an unrequited love.
That's sad.
Eventually I went out with a guy who had a crush on me. He won the King of the dance at our school dance.
Though I wished it were Ian.
