When Victoria reached the accounts office with Rozer, she saw that a long line of students waiting to deposit their fees had already formed there. Victoria joined the line with Rozer and began waiting for her turn.
"By the way, will you tell me what happened today that you suddenly changed so much and stepped straight out of the avatar of a studious girl to become bold and sexy? Is there something special, or are you going on a date with someone?" Rozer asked Victoria in a teasing tone.
Hearing Rozer's words, Victoria replied irritably, "Why do you boys always think that whenever we girls get ready, it's only to attract boys? First of all, get this misunderstanding out of your heads, because in reality, whenever we dress up, we do it for ourselves, not for others." Saying this, Victoria turned back toward the line and resumed waiting for her turn.
After about ten minutes, Victoria's turn came. She stepped up to the fee window, filled out the receipt, and began depositing the money. Just then, her pen suddenly fell to the floor, and without thinking, she bent down to pick it up. But in that very moment, the eyes of all the boys and girls standing in line widened in shock. As Victoria bent over, her pink, smooth hips were revealed right in front of everyone, because before coming to deposit the fees, she had left her panty in the dustbin of her dad's office washroom.
"Oh God! Victoria, what are you doing? Stand up straight, quickly," Rozer said, making a futile attempt to hide her beautiful ass.
Hearing Rozer, Victoria suddenly realized that she had come to college that day without wearing her panty at all. The thought made her extremely embarrassed, and she straightened up at once.
"I completely forgot that before coming here, I had taken off my panty," Victoria muttered to herself in embarrassment.
But proving himself to be a best friend, Rozer tried to calm her and said, "Don't worry. These days, all this is quite common, and girls deliberately show off their bodies. What happened with you was unintentional. Anyway, not many people were able to see your beautiful ass. But why did you even feel the need to come to college without wearing a panty?"
Hearing Rozer's words, Victoria felt even more ashamed. Just then, her attention went to the truth fairy, who was floating a little distance away in the air, laughing loudly. Victoria quickly deposited her fee and immediately left the place, heading back to her car in the parking area. Seeing how disturbed she looked, Rozer followed her there as well.
"Why are you reacting so much now, Victoria? What's done is done—just forget it. Anyway, people keep having such wardrobe malfunctions all the time," Rozer said as he came up to her.
But Victoria did not reply to Rozer at all. Instead, she asked him, "Do you want me to drop you home, or are you going to attend today's classes?"
"No, I'll attend all of today's classes. By the way, where are you going? Aren't you going to attend classes today?" Rozer asked Victoria.
"I have some important work today, so I need to go somewhere. You go and attend your classes, and after college, call me. We'll meet then," Victoria said. With that, she opened her car door, got inside, and started the engine.
After that, Victoria drove her car out of the parking area and headed back. Rozer stood there, watching her leave. Soon after, he turned and walked back inside the college to attend his classes. But before that, Rozer went to the washroom, splashed water on his face, and began fixing his hair. Suddenly, the washroom was plunged into complete darkness as all the lights switched off on their own. Moments later, the washroom door locked itself from the inside. At that moment, Rozer was standing in front of the mirror, washing his face.
The very next instant, a dark shadow emerged in the mirror, and the shadow spoke to Rozer, "How are you, my son? It's been a long time since I last saw you, so I came here myself to meet you. You're doing fine, aren't you?"
Seeing the dark shadow, the expression on Rozer's face changed. With a hint of anger, he replied, "Mom, how many times have I told you not to contact me like this? I want to live a normal life. If anyone finds out that I'm your son, my dream of living a normal life will be ruined."
Hearing Rozer's words, the dark shadow replied in a voice filled with sadness, "But I came to meet you. And you also had to pay this semester's fees, so I thought I'd give it to you myself. If I've caused you any trouble, please forgive me. I only want what's best for you—there was no other intention." Saying this, the dark shadow extended its hand out of the mirror and placed two thousand dollars on the washroom counter.
"Thanks for remembering that I had to pay my college fees today. But please don't pretend to be so innocent in front of me, because I know very well who you are and what you want to do. So, from now on, if you want to pay my fees, just deposit it into my account, or give it to Aunt Nancy and she'll pass it on to me," Rozer said, picking up the dollars from the counter.
Hearing this, the dark shadow's heart broke, and it did not reply with a single word.
"Now please leave from here quickly, before someone sees you with me. And while leaving, take this darkness away from me as well," Rozer said as he turned toward the door.
After hearing Rozer, the dark shadow disappeared. Rozer unlocked the door and went straight to attend his classes. Just then, he remembered that he, too, had to deposit his fees today, and with that thought, he headed toward the accounts office.
Meanwhile, inside Victoria's car, she was angry with the truth fairy because when people had seen her ass due to her skirt lifting up, the truth fairy had been laughing.
"Were you finding it very funny, seeing my ass?" Victoria asked the truth fairy angrily.
"Victoria, I wasn't laughing at you," the truth fairy replied, sitting on Victoria's shoulder. "I was laughing at those boys who got instant erections after seeing your hot ass and were desperately trying to hide them."
"Forget all that now. The office won't close for another seven hours—it's only 12 noon right now, and it shuts at 7 in the evening. Until then, why don't we go somewhere and test my powers together? Because I want to know that if Lysandra truly gave me powers, then what exactly those powers are," Victoria asked the truth fairy excitedly.
Hearing Victoria's suggestion, the truth fairy also became happy, because she too wanted to know what kind of powers Victoria had received and what she was capable of doing.
"But Victoria, to test your powers, we'll need a place where no one else is around. If someone sees you using your powers, humans will start thinking of you as a witch and then they'll boycott you. After that, you won't become a superheroine—instead, you'll definitely become a witch in their eyes," the truth fairy said, looking at Victoria.
Hearing this, Victoria fell silent for a moment. Then suddenly she spoke, "I know a place where there won't be anyone else except us. Let's go there." Saying this, Victoria took a U-turn and began driving her car toward the forest road.
Meanwhile, Victoria's father was at the R&D hub with his team, where the artifact had been kept.
"What have you found out about this box?" Victoria's father, Allen, asked his team.
"Sir, the language written on this box is extremely ancient. We contacted many people, but no one was able to decipher it. I think we should not open this box," the R&D team leader, Winston, replied.
"Why… why shouldn't we open this box? Without opening it, how will we know what's inside and why it was buried in the depths of the ocean? I pay you salaries to examine the artifacts that come through this department and uncover their secrets, not to tell me stories," Allen said angrily.
Just then, Maria, who had been standing quietly and listening to everyone for quite some time, spoke up. "Sir, don't worry. I'll make them open this box. You should go and attend the meeting you had scheduled this morning with the clients from the USA." Saying this, Maria sent Allen back to his cabin.
At that very moment, a black smoke emerged from the box and, without anyone noticing, entered the R&D team leader Winston. For a few moments, Winston's eyes turned completely black, as if some spirit had possessed him, and then in the very next instant, he returned to normal. But no one noticed this incident.
"Do not worry, Maria. I'll try to get this ancient language translated and attempt to open this box. Just give me four hours," Winston said in a grave tone, without looking at her.
"I'm giving you time until 7 this evening. But tomorrow morning, as soon as I come to the office, I'll come here with the boss. By then, you and your team will give us all the information related to this box, and this box must be open at that time," Maria said, and with that, she left the place.
Winston now turned toward his assistant Harry—who worked in the R&D department and also happened to be Victoria's crush—and said, "You heard what the boss ordered, didn't you? So get to work quickly and give me an update by six o'clock. For now, I'm heading home, which is why I've taken a half day, but I'll be back at six in the evening to check this box." Saying this, Winston left all the research work to Harry and walked away.
Harry then got busy with the rest of the team, trying to open the box and translate the ancient language inscribed on it. However, Winston forgot to tell Allen and Maria an important thing he had discovered—or perhaps he deliberately chose not to tell them.
Meanwhile, Victoria had already reached an abandoned old factory with the truth fairy. The place looked deserted and resembled a haunted building.
"Are we really going to test your powers here, Victoria? Because this place is nothing but ruins, and it's scary too," the truth fairy asked while floating in the air.
"You say strange things," Victoria replied. "For testing powers for the first time, we obviously need a ruined place. Or do you want me to test my powers at home and turn my own house into ruins?" Saying this, Victoria got out of the car and started walking inside the factory.
She broke the chain lock hanging on the main door and entered the factory.
"So now tell me—can I fly, can I disappear, or can I shoot fire from my eyes?" Victoria asked, looking at the truth fairy.
Hearing this, the truth fairy replied irritably, "How am I supposed to tell you that? I've already told you before that I only know about my own powers. I know nothing about your powers. You'll have to figure them out yourself." Saying this, the truth fairy went and sat at a distance, watching Victoria.
Victoria looked at the truth fairy and then said, "Lysandra gave me these powers, and she herself is an angel with white wings. So it's possible that I also have magical wings that let me fly." Saying this, Victoria closed her eyes, took Lysandra's name, and began thinking about wings in her mind. But a lot of time passed, and no wings appeared.
"I don't think Lysandra gave you wings for flying. Maybe you can't fly. So it would be better if you try some other powers," the truth fairy said with a yawn, as she was getting quite bored.
But Victoria was not one to give up. She knew that Lysandra had included her in her army for a reason—because Lysandra wanted Victoria to fight the dark goddess Aethan, also known as KillWish, who was extremely powerful and had her own world, "Dark Heaven," along with an army of demons. That clearly meant Lysandra must have given Victoria the power to fly.
Victoria suddenly exclaimed, "I've seen in movies that when a superhero gets the power to fly, they first have to jump from a height, and when they start falling down, they begin flying in mid-air."
Hearing this, the truth fairy became confused and asked, "And what are these movies? Are they some kind of religious books, like the Bible?"
"No. Movies are just movies—I don't really know how to define them. But I definitely want to try this idea at least once," Victoria said. With that, she began climbing the tower inside the factory, which was roughly as tall as a six-storey building.
Seeing Victoria climb higher, the truth fairy flew up beside her and said, "You're sure you want to do this, Victoria? Because if you're wrong and you don't actually have the power to fly, you won't die when you fall, but your arms and legs will definitely break—and your beautiful face will be ruined too."
"Whatever happens, we'll see. For now, I've made up my mind that I will fly," Victoria replied. She continued climbing the stairs, and after a while, she reached the very top floor of the tower.
The very next moment, Victoria jumped.
She began falling downward at full speed. For a short while, she didn't feel afraid at all. She was hopeful that her wings would appear any second and that she would soar through the air like a free bird. But as she crossed below the third floor, falling rapidly through the air, a scream escaped her lips, and she started shouting for help.
The truth fairy tried again and again to grab Victoria mid-air, but because of her small size and the fact that she had no strength-based powers, she couldn't stop Victoria from falling. Now only a few moments remained before Victoria would hit the ground. Lysandra's blessing would save her life, but broken arms and legs were certain.
"I'm such a huge idiot. What was I thinking when I jumped from up there? In a few moments, I'm definitely going to wake up in a hospital," Victoria thought, and she closed her eyes.
Just then, the truth fairy screamed, "Victoria, open your eyes and look!"
But even after hearing her, Victoria didn't open her eyes. She replied, "Do you want me to watch myself crash into the ground? Let me tell you, I have absolutely no interest in that."
After a few moments passed, Victoria realized something felt wrong. By now, she should have already hit the ground. So why hadn't she? With that thought, she opened her eyes—and in the very next instant, she was stunned to see that she was hovering in the air, just a few feet above the ground.
"Oh my God! I'm really flying. Truth fairy, did you see that? I can actually fly. Wow—I really have flying powers!" Victoria exclaimed. Overwhelmed with joy, she began flying all around the factory, celebrating. Seeing Victoria so happy, the truth fairy was equally delighted and started flying alongside her.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Harry was still working alone on opening the box, while the rest of the workers were busy trying to translate the ancient language written on it. Just then, Winston arrived there.
"Sir, weren't you supposed to return at six in the evening? Why so early? It's only four o'clock right now," Harry said in surprise on seeing him.
At that moment, Winston's eyes turned completely black for a brief second and then returned to normal. He replied to Harry, "Yes, I came back early because my work was finished, and now I'm needed here. So you can go and take care of some other work—I'll handle everything here." Saying this, Winston stepped toward the box.
But Harry had already seen the change in Winston's eyes, and because of that, he tried to stop him. What Harry didn't know was that at that moment, Winston's body was no longer under Winston's control, but under the control of a demon. As Harry tried to restrain him, the demon let out a strange, piercing scream. All the glass panels installed in that place shattered instantly, blood began to trickle from everyone's ears, and in the very next moment, everyone collapsed unconscious onto the floor—Harry among them.
With the path now clear, Winston walked up to the box. Looking at it, he said, "Today, the Dark Goddess will be very pleased." Saying this, he extended the nails of his hands, making them grow unnaturally long, and in the very next moment, he slashed through the chains binding the box, cutting them apart and letting them fall.
No one knew what it was inside that box that made this demon willing to go to any lengths to obtain it. And no one knew who would stop this demon now—because Victoria was still learning how to use her powers, completely unaware that her father's life was in danger. The very life she had bargained her soul with Lysandra to protect was now hanging by a thread.
