Ren stood in front of a purple snowy mountain that peaked into the thorny purple clouds. Looking at the magnificent peak piercing into the clouds left Ren in awe of what the world had come to.
He planned to rest and then check his surroundings for any danger. Looking around for any food in the forest was going to be hard. However, he planned to hunt to further hone his abilities as well as take care of the problem of food.
Ren looked at his Unlucky Roulette and the Points which had been stationary suddenly started climbing from 124,000↑ ... 130,000. 6,000 Points in just a few seconds. But it did not stop.
130,000↑
145,000↑
150,000
The points stopped at 150,000. This should have put Ren in a better mood if this was the first time this had happened, but he did not like seeing the points rising suddenly which signified something was about to go down.
SWISH!
Ren felt the incoming slicing air blade. Feeling it almost reach his nape, he suddenly twisted his body at an unimaginable angle, his waist bent sideways as if coiling around an imaginary pole and pulling his body back until it was parallel to the ground. He looked in the direction from where the attack had emerged.
There was a pack of colorful wolves, with a few wolves that had icy shards coating their fur, fiery flame-covered wolves, and others whose fur stood at attention over every part of their bodies, with blue electric currents running around them.
The largest wolf, which looked like the leader—an Alpha—was covered in foggy gases, with breath coming out of its mouth and joining the fog clouding around its body.
The leader wolf was the one that sent the wind-like blade toward the nape of his neck. The blade would not have done anything because of the suit's defenses; however, every instance of damage was deducted from his points. He did not know when he might need those points, and he was in need of rest, so he planned to settle it quickly.
He was already angry due to the telekinetic, invisible tentacle-like thing from City 05, so this was going to be his venting session as well as an opportunity to train properly before finally planning to turn in for the night. It looked like he was going to have wolf meat tonight.
Ren clenched his fist, already bathed in flames up to his shoulder. He looked at the top of the wolves' heads. The fire, ice, and electric wolves ranged from Level 70 to Level 78. The Cloud Wind Wolf was Level 79; however, the level he could see on the panel seemed to fluctuate between Level 79 and Level 80.
He tried not to make any sound, since it seemed like the wolves were relying on their leader to pinpoint his location using the cloudy fog it was creating, however he had learned from his mistakes and was not going to jump in without checking out the enemy.
Looking toward the tree near his right, he leaped onto a branch and made his way to the highest one. Once he reached the highest branch, he looked around the area to count the pack's numbers.
There were 18 wolves, divided equally among the fire, ice, and electric wolves. Apart from that, there was an alpha, and it seemed there was also a mate of the alpha hiding nearby, which was also a Level 79 being.
The suit identified that the she-wolf was hiding within the fog. It seemed the she-wolf must have located where he was, as her eyes appeared to be glowing on the scanner of the Encompassing Protector.
Ren planned to take her down and then work his way up the chain to prevent any surprises. Moving out of sight of the she-wolf and coming directly behind it, Ren dived headfirst towards the visually growing body of the she-wolf as he got closer to it, which seemed to be larger than a truck.
Not planning to stop, Ren pushed his fire bloodline to the limits and focused on combining the thunder part of his whole blood, further pushing the speed, causing friction, heating up his body, and ionizing the air around him, further boosting his speed.
Before any of the wolves realized what could happen, Ren pierced the side belly of the she-wolf, squelching within the body with the organs, blood, and whatever was inside its body, almost becoming one with it, and burst out of the other side.
He heard a painful howl, or more of a whimper, rise out of the she-wolf, and it suddenly lay down on its side. Its breaths slowly slowed down as its eyes started to lose signs of life while it tried to make out what the thing was that had left it on its last breaths.
The Cloud Wind Wolf looked at its mate and gave out a howl that was like a furious order. The wolves of the pack slowly seemed to form circles around the area: one circle and a larger circle outside it, and larger ones, going to make four circles. The circles seemed to start forming some kind of formation that shot out circular light into the air that covered the area where Ren could fly out of.
The Cloud Wind Wolf also started to produce more clouds out of its breath. These seemed to stick to him, almost about to give out his location.
