Chapter 21: HEHEHE and HİHİHİ
Yuki and Haruto were in front of the doctor's room. Haruto knocked on the door.
Dr. Mitsuni's voice came from inside.
Dr. Mitsuni:
"Come iiiin~"
Yuki looked at Haruto. Haruto smiled back at Yuki.
Haruto:
"Yeah, Yuki, don't worry. There won't be any problems. After all, the doctor will treat you like—"
He placed his hand on the doorknob and opened the door.
Haruto:
"—a normal child and che—"
At that moment, he saw the doctor and his voice died in his throat. His smiling face instantly turned into shock.
Yuki froze in fear.
Mitsuni was wearing a white mask with several red stains on it. There were red marks on his gloves as well, and in his left hand, he was holding a knife with red stains on it.
Dr. Mitsuni spoke in a mysterious tone.
Dr. Mitsuni:
"Hmmm… I've been waiting for you, Yuki."
He lifted his hand to his face and removed the mask.
Dr. Mitsuni:
"But before that… would you like to eat some pomegranate?"
Haruto and Yuki stared at him in shock.
Haruto snapped angrily.
Haruto:
"DOCTOR! YOU SCARED THE LIFE OUT OF THE KID!"
Dr. Mitsuni didn't seem to care much.
Dr. Mitsuni:
"Hehe~ I scared you a little too, didn't I?"
Haruto grew even angrier. As he spoke, spit flew from his mouth.
Haruto:
"GET OUT OF HERE! I JUST— I MEAN— I WAS JUST SURPRISED, OKAY?!"
He pointed at the doctor, his finger just inches from Mitsuni's nose.
Yuki was still in shock. Sitting on a chair with a bowl of pomegranates on his lap, he wore a strange, unconscious smile as he watched Haruto scold the doctor—and the doctor completely ignore him.
Meanwhile, Kaito had finished changing in his room. He stood in front of his bed for a moment, then threw himself onto it.
Kaito:
"Ahh… today was exhausting."
He turned onto his right side.
Kaito:
"It'd be good to rest until dinner."
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
Knock knock.
The tired smile on Kaito's face vanished. He stood up with an annoyed look and opened the door.
The twins were standing there.
Kaito (cold and irritated):
"You two… what is the meaning of this state you're in?"
The twins tried to hide their guilt with small smiles.
Shin:
"Uh… well… the bath—"
Zen quickly cut in.
Zen:
"Are you ready, Kaito bro?"
Kaito sighed, rubbed his face, and thought for a few seconds.
Kaito:
"Ugh… fine."
Zen spoke again.
Zen:
"We went to talk to Sister Sora, but she was sleeping."
Shin nodded and smiled.
Shin:
"Mm-hm."
Realizing he had no other choice, Kaito spoke.
Kaito:
"Well… taking a bath myself might actually be good."
He turned around and started walking.
Kaito:
"At least I'll feel a bit more relaxed."
Shin and Zen clasped their hands together.
Shin (slyly):
"Heheh… he fell right into our plan."
Zen giggled as well.
Zen:
"Hihi… let's see what he does in there."
Just then, Kaito turned back.
Kaito:
"HEY! YOU TWO— MOVE IT!"
The twins nodded.
Twins (together):
"Okay!"
They began walking forward, grinning mischievously…
