Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 – Successfully End the Experience and Return to the Base City

City 003 — Abandoned Villa District near Vanke Dream City.

One of the deserted villas served as the Thunder Squad's temporary stronghold.

On the rooftop, under the dim evening light, Jiang Yan and Janet sat side by side, making a video call with Yang Hui.

Yang Hui's expression was full of disbelief.

"Jiang Yan… are you absolutely sure about what you just said?!"

Jiang Yan had told him that Jiangnan Base City's Extreme Martial Arts Hall had an eighteen-year-old spiritual master genius.

But Yang Hui had never once heard of such a thing.

He was friends with Zhou Zhengyong, president of the Jiangnan Extreme Club.

If such a genius existed, the Extreme Club should've reported it the moment they discovered him.

"Of course I'm sure," Jiang Yan said with a light smile. "Why would I lie to you?"

Under Jiang Yan's guidance, Luo Feng had already decided to stop hiding his spiritual master identity.

And since Yang Hui was responsible for scouting global talents for the elite training camp, Jiang Yan naturally told him directly.

"Then why didn't the Extreme Guild in Jiangnan report his case?" Yang Hui asked, still puzzled.

Jiang Yan patiently explained that they simply didn't know Luo Feng was a spiritual master.

"So that's how it is…"

Understanding dawned on Yang Hui's face.

No wonder Zhou Zhengyong hadn't reported it—they didn't know anything.

"Alright, I understand." Yang Hui nodded, excitement in his tone. "I'll report this immediately. If nothing unexpected happens, Luo Feng will definitely receive a slot in the elite training camp. He'll enter in March—same time as you!"

He paused before adding:

"But before that, I need to come verify Luo Feng's situation myself."

"Okay." Jiang Yan nodded.

After exchanging a few more words, the call ended.

Jiang Yan immediately dialed Luo Feng.

"Luo Feng, your spot in the elite training camp is basically locked in."

For a genius spiritual master like Luo Feng, there was no world in which the camp would refuse him.

In the original timeline, if Luo Feng had revealed his identity earlier, there would've been no need for a B-level assessment at all.

"Brother Jiang, I… I don't know how to repay you!" Luo Feng said, voice full of gratitude.

Jiang Yan waved casually. "Repay? What for? Who knows—maybe I'll need your help someday."

Before Luo Feng could respond, his expression suddenly changed.

"Brother Jiang, let's talk later. Those two God of War–level seniors… they've already started fighting the Iron-Armored Dragon!"

Hearing that, Jiang Yan lifted an eyebrow and chuckled.

"Then you'd better hide well. It's not exactly glorious to fish for loot from two Gods of War."

Luo Feng flushed slightly.

The Iron-Armored Dragon incident was something Jiang Yan had told him earlier.

A junior God of War like Jiang Yan going into the dragon's lair was suicide.

There were still three junior lord-level subordinates and countless beast generals packed into the Lejiafu Supermarket.

Breaking out alive would be nearly impossible.

But Luo Feng was different.

As a spiritual master who could fly using telekinesis, he could slip in and out as easily as a wisp of mist. Jiang Yan couldn't help feeling a little envious.

And Luo Feng couldn't resist the temptation—

five to six billion for the Iron-Armored Dragon's egg, plus warrior weapons and combat suits buried in the hoard.

Combined total—over 30 billion.

The moment he heard the number, Luo Feng nearly jumped off his chair.

He desperately needed money.

For himself—and for his brother.

"Got it, Brother Jiang. I'll be careful!" Luo Feng said solemnly.

"Good. I wish you success." Jiang Yan ended the call.

He stood at the edge of the rooftop, looking toward the ruined cityscape. Monsters flickered in and out of the shadows far away. The corner of his mouth curved upward.

"This trip to City 003… was a complete success."

He had come for two purposes:

To grow stronger.

To alter the original plot and befriend Luo Feng.

Both goals achieved.

"Roar—! ROAR—!"

A thunderous wave of beastly cries erupted in the distance. It echoed through the sky like tens of thousands of monsters roaring in unison.

"Let's go. Time to head back," Jiang Yan said with a smile as he stood up.

Janet nodded and glanced down at Li Wei, Liu Xi, and Caron below.

The three had already packed up, combat backpacks stuffed with monster materials harvested during this experience.

The distant roars made all three visibly tense.

Before the battle began, Wang Tong and Li Kan had sent Jiang Yan a warning message. As soon as he received it, Jiang Yan immediately decided they would return to the base city.

Not out of fear.

But as captain, he needed to ensure the safety of everyone.

Li Wei's trip this time could be considered successful—he had completed the experience mission his father Li Yao assigned.

He could now hunt intermediate beast generals alone.

Clumsily, yes. Sloppily, yes.

But he could kill them.

His rapid improvement came from two things—his own hard effort and Jiang Yan's strict supervision. And the fact that Liu Xi and Caron had stopped shielding him.

"Let's go."

Jiang Yan and Janet leapt off the rooftop, landing lightly before the trio.

The five of them quietly withdrew from City 003 and exited through the Ring Expressway.

Moments after they left Vanke Dream City, the entire area burst into chaos. Monsters flooded outward as though summoned by a tyrannical will.

"This movement is insane! Good thing we left early. Otherwise we'd be caught in that mess," Caron said, still a little shaken.

"Wang Tong and Li Kan are fighting a high-level lord monster," Liu Xi explained. "With tens of thousands of monsters under its command, a full riot is unimaginable."

"I really want to see such a scene up close…" Li Wei's eyes sparkled with excitement.

Even on the far-off Ring Expressway, they could clearly hear the earth-shaking roars rising from City 003.

Jiang Yan took one last glance back before reminding them:

"Let's keep moving. The sooner we get back to base city, the better."

Meanwhile, in Jiangnan Base City.

Venina smiled upon receiving the message that the Thunder Squad had completed their experience and was returning safely.

Li Wei had grown stronger.

The mission's goal was achieved.

And she had successfully befriended Jiang Yan — a future powerhouse.

Her mood couldn't be better.

Venina glanced at two large boxes placed in her hall.

She whispered to herself with a happy smile:

"Jiang Yan should like this gift."
