Chapter 33 - Chapter--33- Venina’s Birthday Gift

Jiang Yan tapped the accept button.

A delicate, flawless face appeared on the screen—Venina.

"Jiang Yan, thank you very much for taking Wei'er out to train this time," Venina said with a warm smile. "His strength improved significantly during this experience. It's all thanks to you."

"You're too kind," Jiang Yan replied calmly. "Li Wei worked hard himself. I only kept an eye on things."

"You don't need to be modest," Venina shook her head gently. "I know better than anyone what Wei'er is like."

Her expression softened with a trace of apology.

"I originally wanted to thank you in person today, but year-end matters have piled up. I'm currently handling something urgent at Europa Base City, so I truly can't spare the time. Once things settle down, I'll definitely come thank you personally."

Jiang Yan waved his hand immediately. "It was just a small favor. There's no need for such formality."

"This is something I must do."

Venina smiled, then her tone shifted slightly, carrying a hint of playfulness.

"I also heard that today is your birthday. I've prepared a small gift—please don't dislike it. Someone will deliver it to your home shortly."

"Huh?" Jiang Yan was clearly caught off guard.

"President Venina, the Speaker is asking for you."

A female voice sounded beside Venina. She turned her head briefly. "Alright, I understand."

Then she looked back at Jiang Yan, smiling softly.

"I'm sorry, I have to go now. And finally—happy birthday."

The video call ended.

Jiang Yan stared at the dimmed screen for a moment before snapping back to his senses.

He genuinely hadn't expected Venina to prepare a birthday gift for him.

Janet was just as surprised.

"Is Mr. Jiang Yan at home?"

At that moment, a voice came from outside the villa.

Jiang Yan and Janet exchanged a glance. They both knew—it had to be Venina's gift.

"Let's go," Janet said with a grin, tugging at his arm. "I'm curious what my idol prepared for you."

They stepped outside and saw a burly man standing at the gate, holding a large box in each hand. His aura was unmistakably that of a seasoned warrior.

"Mr. Jiang Yan," the man said respectfully. "President Venina asked me to deliver these to you. Please sign here."

"Alright."

Jiang Yan glanced at the two heavy boxes, then signed his name on the receipt without hesitation.

"From now on, these belong to you."

After handing over the boxes, the man turned and left without another word.

"They're really heavy," Jiang Yan said, testing the weight. "What could be inside?"

Janet smiled knowingly. "This birthday gift doesn't look cheap."

Back inside the villa, the two opened the boxes.

Janet's pupils contracted instantly.

"An S-class full combat suit… and an SS-class battle spear?!"

Even Jiang Yan was momentarily stunned by Venina's generosity.

An S-class full combat suit had a market price of 12 billion.

An SS-class battle spear was worth 30 billion.

Together—42 billion.

Of course, Venina hadn't paid the full market price.

Through God of War Palace channels, an S-class suit could be acquired for about 4 billion, and an SS-class battle spear for roughly 10 billion.

Even so—14 billion was still an astronomical figure.

"My dear," Janet sighed, her eyes filled with admiration. "You're so outstanding that even President Venina is willing to invest tens of billions without hesitation."

She understood Venina's intent clearly.

This wasn't just a birthday gift—it was an investment.

Jiang Yan's future potential was obvious. Venina could see it. Anyone with eyes could.

"This gift is… a little too heavy," Jiang Yan said with a soft laugh.

"Then are you going to refuse it?" Janet asked.

"Refuse?" Jiang Yan shook his head and smiled. "Why would I?"

If it were anyone else, he would have rejected such a gift outright—owing favors was not something he took lightly.

But from Venina?

He accepted without hesitation.

He immediately sent Venina a message, thanking her and saying he liked the gift very much. He even asked about her birthday, hinting that he hoped to prepare a gift for her as well when the time came.

Venina was genuinely pleased when she saw the message.

This meant their relationship had grown closer.

She quickly replied.

"November."

Jiang Yan narrowed his eyes slightly.

By then… he would likely already possess planet-level strength.

Putting away the communicator, Jiang Yan turned his attention back to the boxes.

"Put it on and see how it feels," Janet urged with a smile.

With her help, Jiang Yan changed into the custom-tailored S-class combat suit.

Venina had clearly tailored it perfectly to his measurements.

It fit like a second skin.

"Clothes really do make the man," Janet said, her eyes shining. "An S-class suit really changes everything. Of course—my dear was already handsome enough."

Jiang Yan stood nearly 1.9 meters tall, his features sharp and composed. Wrapped in the light-gold combat suit, his entire presence radiated restrained dominance.

"I like it," Jiang Yan said simply.

He then picked up the SS-class battle spear.

Heavy.

Far heavier than his current weapon.

SS-class spears were designed to slay king-level monsters—gear meant for high-ranking Gods of War.

"It won't be long," Jiang Yan said calmly, confidence evident in his tone. "Soon enough, I'll wield this spear and sweep all directions."

The next morning arrived quickly.

Jiang Yan and Janet packed up and, together with Jiang Fang, headed to the airport early.

Using warrior privileges, they boarded the earliest flight to Hongning Base City.

Several hours later, they arrived at the global headquarters of the Extreme Martial Arts Gym.

"My Black Dragon List ranking has risen to 145th," Jiang Yan noted after checking.

He had previously been ranked 175th.

"That's because around thirty students graduated last year," Jiang Fang explained. "Their names were removed from the list, so everyone below naturally moved up."

Jiang Yan nodded, then asked, "In March, when the elite training camp officially begins, are cultivation resources allocated based on the current rankings?"

"Of course," Jiang Fang replied.

March was the first official month of the elite training camp. No one had gone to City 1001 yet, so rankings from December of the previous year determined initial resource allocation.

"That's pretty unfriendly to newcomers like us," Jiang Yan sighed.

Jiang Fang smiled. "That's why you should cherish my cultivation time over the next month. Once March arrives, if you want to use the gravity chamber—"

"You'll have to fight the others for it."
