Chapter 5 - Destination.

"Four hundred and ninety eight… four hundred and ninety nine… and five hundred." Doing five hundred push ups, Ken falls down lying on his back.

He doesn't have any strength in his body and his muscles are tired as hell. His heartbeats are fast and he can hear them clearly. His head feels heavy and disorienting.

Even through all that, his regeneration kicks in and the micro-tears in his muscles heal immediately.

[Constitution (lvl 11) > Constitution (lvl 12).]

Ken could feel it, his mana was gone. He naturally had an extremely low amount of mana. The funny thing is that it took him a while to realize that the name of magic power was changed to mana.

He checked his stats and it was just like he had expected.

[Stats: Strength (lvl 8), Constitution (lvl 12), Agility (lvl 7), Mana (lvl 4).]

His strength and constitution was lower than the original precisely because unlike the Ken from his fanfic, who only trained his body. He actually trained in martial arts and he learned one thing again.

He had experimented a lot and finally found out the reason why he kept on failing the roundhouse kick.

It was because he kept on jumping. The last time he tried it while having one foot on the ground, it kind of worked. At least that's what it seemed like.

Unlike the original Ken, who trained for five days. The only reason Ken had nearly the same strength and constitution is because of the extra weight that the weights give him.

Not just that, him using mana more than before also increased it more than it did on fanfic and his agility was also one level higher because of the things he was doing.

[Constellation The masochist of Joseon asks you how much you have improved.]

Ken felt a bit surprised seeing him at first as he didn't hear them for the last three days.

"I definitely did a lot. Do you want to know about my stats–"

[Constellation The masochist of Joseon says he doesn't.]

[Constellation The masochist of Joseon says that you will charge him coins.]

Seeing it, Ken paused. The reason being he actually was thinking of charging him coins.

"Anyway, what I can say for free is that I learned some martial arts that I knew."

[Constellation The masochist of Joseon is interested.]

Ken checks a phone he had. It was a phone that he found in the store after cleaning up the dead bodies. It was one of the dead people's phones.

The only reason he picked this one is because it was the only one with no lock and was in good condition.

He checked the phone and saw that it was already past eight PM and he was also feeling drowsy at that moment from not properly sleeping for the last three days.

He heads towards the bathroom while looking at himself. He doesn't have his beard anymore.

After his skill, body control leveled up to two, he had experimented a lot. After a lot of mistakes, he finally managed to control his hormones, specifically the testosterone.

Which is how he stopped the growth of his beard and just shaved it off, meaning his beard won't grow anymore until he allows it to.

Ken washes his face with water and heads towards the bed and jumps on it– lying on his back.

"I will tell them tomorrow, right now I'm too sleepy… actually, you know what? You can just see them when I execute them."

[Constellation The masochist of Joseon is offended.]

"Sorry for that." He says before ignoring any further messages from them.

'I have a lot to prepare for tomorrow… and the poison fog outside is going to be painful.

Then there are the swords from the museum and… I have a lot to do.'

He quickly falls asleep from the fatigue that came from three days of training and a low amount of sleep.

—***—

"Whoo… let's dive in shall we?"

Ken was ready to dive in to clear the second scenario.

Just today after waking up after 12 PM, he had an idea. The idea was to have the hill of his feet always 2 cm upward. The reason being it actually helped him train his calf as it would put stress in there.

[Some constellations are excited as you are finally going out.]

Ken checks the second scenario screen and he didn't really like it. The destination was changed.

[Main scenario 2: Meeting.]

[Description: Cross the tunnel and meet the survivors in the first main base.]

[Time limit: None.]

[Reward: 500 coins.]

[Penalty: ??? ]

[Destination: Jongno station.]

"What the fuck… wasn't it supposed to be chungmuro?"

Ken was confused at first, but after thinking for a while, he didn't think it was that bad.

The reason being he had some things he wanted to do without Dokja's interference, which was also why he finished his training two days faster and being in a different station also helped in that matter.

He slowly stepped out of the store as the poisonous fog immediately covered his vision.

[Poison is seeping into your body.]

[You are recommended to enter a safe zone or underground.]

Ken quickly started running towards a direction at full speed.

On his first day, he collected a lot of things in which there was a physical map. Right now there was no internet and for the same reason, he had to use this for direction.

His first destination was none other than the Seoul national museum. The reason being that he needed a weapon, plus there was something else he really needed.

When running through various obstacles, he also had to play hide and seek with some monsters, as there were monsters as big as buildings and some that would go around in a group.

If he was anyone else, he might have already started going weak from the poison, but his regeneration is actually fighting against the poison even now.

Running through rubbles and messy areas should be a trouble for normal people, but it didn't pose much problem for someone like him who is naturally good at coordinating this type of road.

While running, he feels that he has gotten a lot slower than before. Even though he should be faster right now, only then did he realize just how much the extra weight affects his speed.

Not only speed, it was also burning his stamina faster as well as putting more strain in his body. Nevertheless, he still put them on because they would still help him train.

After a while, he finally reached the museum. But his condition was shit in his opinion, as he was heavily exhausted.

He quickly entered the museum and started to find something before seeing a section with swords on display.

They were one bladed swords. He started checking on multiple of them before finding one.

[Name: Seong-bin.]

[Grade: B.]

[Description: It was a sword said to be made during the late Joseon era. It is confirmed it's real, but some are still suspicious of it.]

He takes it before quickly putting it inside his bag. Looking around he spots a rusty sword on display.

[Constellation The masochist of Joseon tells you to take that one.]

Ken also takes the sword without hesitation before putting it inside his bag and heading out of the museum.

[Constellation The masochist of Joseon is confused as to why you were so easily convinced.]

The main reason Ken actually took it was because in his fanfic, he wanted something just like Dokja's sword, the unbreakable faith, or something like that.

So he made this sword something linked to this specific constellation which can be upgraded to the constellation grade just like how Dokja did it.

Thinking something, he takes out the sword from the bag before continuing his journey to complete the second scenario.

'It would be a waste to not use it at all… and this time I also have the skill.'
