As the light started to hover around Ken, he suddenly realized something. Which is that, the sword he was holding was not seong-bin. But the sword in the movie.
Before he could do anything else, he was suddenly teleported inside the movie. He was in some kind of damp and dark cave.
Luckily, because of his skill, the reader's pov. He could see. This skill's first stage simply makes everything look like they are animated, and every animated story has one problem. And which is that, there is always a faint light visible to the viewers.
It was faint, but useful. Ken quickly checked the sword in his hand, and it was just as he was thinking.
[Celestial sword.]
[Grade: S.]
[Description: Said to be a sword bestowed by heaven. Holds the Holy ether affix to purge the evil.]
"... Damn, the description is so cringe."
Even after gaining this, he was panicking. It was true that the Ken in the fanfic did not have this sword teleported out with him. So having an S grade is better than a B grade, but what he was worried about is that it was a literal ingredient to a constellation grade sword.
Ken quickly checked his bag, and to his relief, the sword was there.
"Anyway… where am I really?"
[Some constellations say that this will be interesting.]
[Some constellations say that fear of darkness with some obvious monster is even better.]
[Constellation The masochist of Joseon is pitying you.]
Looking at all these, Ken could not help but be a bit afraid. No matter what happens, whenever he's in the dark, his delusions become too strong and he starts to imagine crazy things. Which only makes him more afraid of darkness.
He delves deeper into the cave as the darkness only grows. There were many webs hanging around everywhere.
'What kind of movie even is this?!'
He quickly puts the sword inside his bag and takes out the gun with a few magazines to reload at any time.
While walking, he also notices multiple dead bodies of many people. Possibly soldiers.
Even after all these, he could not help, as he had to move through anyway.
Suddenly– hearing a faint noise, he turned around. But luckily there was no one. But before he could turn back, something grabbed his left arm and threw him to the side with extreme force.
Ken could not understand anything that was happening. But he knew one thing, it hurt like hell. He had hit the back of his head, which was making him dizzy and disoriented. Because of him hitting a wall, his chest was also affected and he was having a hard time breathing.
And most of all. He was missing his left arm. Tears started to come out his eyes and the pain started to become more and more unbearable. When he looked to the side where he was attacked from, there was no one.
[Some constellations are worried about you.]
But luckily, his arm was still left there as he quickly ran towards it and attached it to his shoulder, which then slowly knitted back together– relieving him of his pain.
[Regeneration (lvl 2) > Regeneration (lvl 3).]
Seeing the skill level up,he remembered something. This skill only levels up with the amount of damage he accumulates and when he heals from it.
The condition for level three was to have an arm ripped and reattach or regenerate it. For level four, it was to suffer multiple heavy injuries and heal back.
'As for level five… it is… to nearly die…'
It was a terrifying thought for him. But he knew he was never going to die because of the real him. But the fear of death would still linger.
Ken moved through the cave again as he walked, and walked before finally reaching a giant space in the cave. This place had many more dead bodies compared to before.
As he comes out of the tunnel leading to this place, something attacks him as he feels something piercing through his shoulders and lifting him up.
Ken blindly shoots whatever that was grabbing him as it lets out a shriek and throws him away.
Ken falls far away on the ground, which was at least ten to twenty meters below the tunnel he came from.
He felt disoriented and weak, with his breath weakening even more. It was a familiar feeling to him. It was none other than the same feeling as when poison affected him heavily.
Not just that, he could also feel that his legs and elbow were broken.
Ken looked at where he was as he saw something he didn't really expect to see.
"Is that an… Arachne?!"
What he saw was a weird monster. The upper body resembling that of a woman, while the lower body that of a giant spider.
[Some constellations are surprised by the sudden difficulty spike.]
[Some constellations wonder if it's alright to have this thing here.]
Because of his regeneration, Ken slowly got back up as he started to shoot the monster.
[Tier 6 insect type monster, Arachne.]
"Fuck… it's a tier six."
Ken was far away from it, but he also knew that it was definitely not going to be an easy one.
The arachne kept on moving around the ceiling incredibly fast, but some bullets still hit it. The bullets could damage it.
In fiction, guns are usually shown to be ineffective against monsters, even though they can exhibit thousands of newtons of force. Not just that, they are most of the time around the speed of sound. Making it nearly impossible to dodge with that body.
"And luckily for me, the arachne seems to have low defense."
Ken quickly ran out of ammo as well as the magazines he had taken out. Which is why he was forced to take off his bag and take out some magazines.
But before he could load another magazine, he felt that he could not feel his legs.
When he looked down, he had already fallen and his legs were sliced off cleanly.
It was a sort of thread which had sliced them off. The arachne moved towards him and pinned him to the ground, piercing his stomach and the right arm. In which he had the gun in.
[Multiple constellations are worried about you.]
[Multiple constellations have donated 1,000 coins in total to encourage you.]
Ken still had the magazine in his left hand as he quickly loaded it into the gun he had in his right hand.
But, even if he did that. His arm was pinned to the ground.
'This bitch… all I can do is pin my hope onto this.'
[Reader's POV stage 2 has been activated.]
[Hyper-thinking (stage 1) > Hyperfocus (stage 2).]
Just as the skills activate, it's almost like Ken goes into a trance.
Ken quickly shoves the magazine which he was holding in his left hand into the gun. Seeing it, the arachne also pierces his left arm– also pinning it to the ground.
But with the gun reloaded, Ken pushes his hand through the leg the arachne was pinning him down with– he points the gun at the head of the arachne as a dark aura covers it.
[Dark star weapon aura (lvl 1) has been activated.]
Before the arachne could understand anything, Ken shoots a barrage of bullets into the head of the monster– killing it, while the dark aura covering the gun also fades away.
Ken had no apparent chance to kill the arachne. But the only reason he was able to do it was because
[You have killed a tier 6 insect type monster, Arachne.]
[You are the first to achieve something like this.]
[You have been rewarded 8,000 coins for your achievement.]
[You have reached the seventh end credit.]
[Main cast: Kennedy.]
[You have been rewarded 500 coins for your performance.]
[You have achieved a hidden achievement. Killing the arachne.]
[You have acquired the skill Thread manipulation (lvl 1).]
As the arachne dies. Ken tries to push its legs out of his arm, but can't. As both of his arms were pinned. Which is why, when he notices that it is only pinning his flesh, he simply forces his arm out– even though his flesh also teared apart from that.
He could feel that more than half of his mana was gone. Which is why he quickly pushed out the legs from his left arm and stomach.
His regeneration was knitting his flesh together, but at the same time, his mana was also running out faster.
He slowly crawled towards his decapitated legs and slowly attached them back, but even they were not cleanly attached.
But even after that, the poison as well as the wound in his body remained and his mana was also running thin. Which is why he is finally forced to deactivate his skills.
[Reader's POV stage 2 has been deactivated.]
[Hyperfocus (stage 2) has been deactivated.]
After his skills are deactivated, only then does he come to his senses as the pain in his body engulfs him.
The wound in his stomach also mostly heals back. It was not that bad, because it was on the side of stomach, not the middle. The arachne was definitly smart, which is why it attacked the side instead of middle, because of the weight vest– which is full of metal. But his mana also was on the verge of running out.
While the arachne had pinned him down, it was actively injecting its already potent venom into his body. Which is why, aside from the wound, the bigger problem was the venom.
Exhaustion as well as disorientation slowly engulfs his mind as he leans on the arachne's dead body– sitting down.
