Ken slowly walks in front of an underground tunnel. It was on the way to Jongno station. Ken slowly started to walk down the stairs while sipping on a can of cold drinks.
"This shit was way too rough compared to how it was in the fanfic… I nearly died many times." As a shiver runs down his spine remembering everything that happened on the way.
The fight with those people were the most vague in his memories.
His legs were shaking from crossing such a long path. The road from Bogwang-dong to Jongno station was supposed to be only five or so kilometres, but the detours, poison fog, monsters and such made the path way longer.
Not forgetting the poison, it was also weakening him. But thanks to him getting the poison resistance skill and his regeneration, he could hold his own.
Walking down the stairs and navigating for a while, Ken finally appears at his destination. The meeting place in the Jongno station.
[Main scenario 2: Meeting. Has been completed.]
[You have been rewarded 500 coins for completion.]
"Oh… not bad I guess. At least I didn't pass out dramatically like the Ken in fanfic did."
As he arrives in the place, he sees multiple people, either sitting in a corner or just doing the most random things possible.
Well, everyone has gone crazy because of the scenarios anyway, so he can't blame them for doing stupid things.
Even after arriving, no one had bat an eye at him– completely ignoring him. Ken gets off of the platform and starts heading towards Chungmuro while walking on the railway.
That was the station Dokja and his group were supposed to be in, but that's a matter of a few days. Originally they should come about three or so days later.
"Dokja should still be in the belly of… Icatythosaurous? Fuck… the name… I can't remember it correctly."
Right now Dokja should be in the belly of that sea monster and the others in Geumho station, which is further away.
But right now, Ken isn't going to Chungmuro, but he's chasing after something, and that being the Dark keeper.
While walking, Ken finally finds what he was looking for. Ground rats. Big tier seven monsters that were relatively weak and disgusting. More so, they didn't even look like rats, but more like moles.
There were about three of them. As one suddenly attacks him, Ken pushes his right hand forward to defend himself and the rat bites onto his arm.
But instead of trying to get it off, he lets the rats drag him somewhere.
Even while the rats were dragging him off, he opened the dokkaebi bag to search something
'... Star weapon aura should do the job.'
As he searches it up, multiple skill names pop up such as white, blue, red, golden and what not star weapon aura.
But out of all of them, one catches his eyes.
'Ugh… this is gonna make me look more edgy, but it should look cooler." As he buys the skill.
[Dark star weapon aura has been purchased.]
[5,100 coins have been deducted for the purchase.]
"Fuck… this is actually painful and—" Before he could finish his words, the rats jump in dug up tunnel.
Because of them suddenly jumping, Ken falls off from their hold.
"You fucking motherfuckers! At least don't jump!"
He grabs his arm, in which a chunk of flesh was gone because of them. His injury regenerates in a while as Ken quickly draws his sword out.
The rats attack him again, but this time, instead of letting them attack him. He fought back.
He throws his sword at one of their heads, killing it. Another one jumps at him with killing intent, but Ken somehow dodges it.
'Guess shadowboxing is quite efficient.'
Before the rat could turn back, Ken jumps on its back, grabs its head and spins it– breaking its neck and killing it.
The last rat was crouching in fear as Ken grabs the hilt of his sword from the dead one and takes it out before stabbing the remaining rat.
He starts heading deeper into the tunnel before seeing a bit of light.
Just then he remembers something. "Wait a minute… I don't have the Heart of the Immortal yet…"
Ken slaps his own face before heading back to Jongno station. It was not a good idea to fight the dark keeper with only a B grade sword.
After arriving again, he checked the mission for the third scenario.
[Main scenario 3: Bare fight.]
[Difficulty: B.]
[Description: Every night for seven days straight, 30 strongest people will be selected in order to fight against each other to death. No weapons are allowed. It will be a one versus one fight and will end when 15 people are left.]
[Time limit: 7 days.]
[Reward: 1,000 coins.]
[Penalty for failure: Death.]
It was just as Ken had expected. The third scenario was truly different for every station.
The third scenario of Chungmuro was to survive the night from monster flood and Jongno's is to fight against each other until half remains.
Unlike Chungmuro, where it was unpredictable on how many people died, this one was predictable and less.
One could think this one was more advantageous, but reality is not so much. It is stated that the strongest people are the ones selected, meaning this station keeps on losing the strongest people here.
But Ken didn't care much, the problem was that it is going to go like this for another few days.
"Bruh, it is gonna be a long one."
The moment Ken had arrived, the sun had already set a long timd ago. Meaning that the scenario could start at any given moment. Even better if it has already ended.
"Well, even if it starts at any moment, it will still take a few more minutes–" Before he could finish his words, a message came.
[You have been selected for the third scenario, Bare fight.]
[Go into one of the blue zones to start.]
[If you don't select a zone, you will be randomly placed on one.]
"Right… where the is the zone anyway? Should I just wait to get picked up?"
He calmly sits down like nothing just happened. After a while, he is suddenly teleported somewhere, still sitting.
[The weapons you have will be confiscated during the scenario.]
Ken could feel that the sword he was holding had disappeared and his bag had also gotten lighter. He slowly put his bag down and looked at his opponent.
It was a rather average looking man. Who was still a bit taller than him. The man had already got into a fighting position and was waiting for something.
"What are you waiting for?" Ken asked, but in reply the person only groaned. Which only confused Ken.
'Is… this guy mute or what?' And to answer his question, he was actually right about that.
As the person suddenly charged at him, closing the distance before punching. But surprisingly, he doesn't feel the punch landing.
Ken had leaned back to avoid the punch. When he was learning how to Jab, he knew two things.
One. To perform Jab, you have to move kinetic energy and chain it through your legs, then core, to shoulders and use that energy to punch.
Two. Which was more obvious was that he didn't have any training partner, or someone to help him train. Which is why he tried shadowboxing.
Before the person in front of him could give another punch. Ken leaned to the side and hit the side of that person's head with the back of his elbow.
Disoriented, the person gets pushed back. But not giving any time, Ken lands a kick on the his stomach.
The consecutive attacks were enough to shake the entire nervous system. Ken quickly grabbed the guy's head– forcing him to lean down before striking with his knee.
Again. Before the person could get his balance up, Ken kicks at the very joint of the person's right leg's knee– dislocating it.
For every attack Ken did to the person, in return he would scream in pain every single time.
'It's unfortunate that I don't have a weapon. With my sword, this would have ended faster. Even his pain."
But just then Ken remembered that the pain of death and worldly pain are two different things. No amount of worldly pain can be compared to that of death. Since, to him. The death of pain is supposed to be unimaginably more painful.
Ken quickly grabbed the guy's head again and gave a headbutt before clenching the head as tightly as he could and snapping it.
[You have acquired 720 coins.]
[You have cleared today's Bare fight.]
Ken stood there– in front of the dead body, not knowing what to do. He didn't know. What could he do right now? He had just killed a person.
[Some constellations think you are too brutal.]
[Some constellations from the absolute good feels that you could have finished it less painfully.]
[Constellation The masochist of Joseon tells you to ignore them.]
[Constellation The dead man who came back says that you really were brutal in that one fight.]
[Constellation Merchant of Venice tells you to calm down.]
He doesn't know why, but after living here for a few days, his attitude towards this world had started to change. He had accepted all these as real, even though he knew nothing was real.
Especially after today's incident, this feeling got stronger. He had faced a near death situation and killed people in a real fight. Even now, he did just that.
He did not know what to do about all these. Looking towards everyone else, he saw something. Some were afraid and some were not. Some were excited and some just were.
"ORV never really showed how shit this world is."
Remembering that he needs the heart of the immortal, he slowly walked towards the staircase and started heading towards a direction.
This time he was going towards none other than the Theatre dungeon.
