Lap 1
As always, Kuma was playing on his Nintendo Switch while watching the anime F-Zero: Falcon Densetsu together with his girlfriend Kamui. They were both happy and enjoyed the show very much, just like all the other anime that existed.
After finishing the last episode, the TV suddenly began to glow an absurdly bright white. Kuma and Kamui were shocked.
Kuma: "WTF?!"
Kamui: "Too bright…"
They both closed their eyes, and in the next moment they were teleported. When they opened them again, they found themselves standing in a very futuristic apartment. Nothing seemed to belong to them anymore. Holograms filled the rooms—there was no normal TV, only holographic screens. Everything looked like it came straight out of a future movie.
Kuma: "Where are we? This looks way too futuristic."
Kamui: "I don't know… even the lights don't turn on normally. They're motion-sensored."
Kamui stepped into the hallway and jumped back to show how the lights turned on and off automatically.
Kuma opened the window and saw huge advertising posters of F-Zero outside. He knew it immediately.
Kuma: "Kamui… we're in F-Zero."
Kamui slowly stepped toward Kuma and pinched his cheek.
Kamui: "How did you—oh… that actually makes sense."
She looked outside as well and saw the massive posters. Her eyes sparkled.
They jumped up and hugged each other, both of them overjoyed.
Kamui: "We're really here… I can finally meet Jody Summers, Lucy Liberty, and Misaki Haruka."
Kuma lifted one eyebrow.
Kuma: "Really? Only them? Naaw, I want to meet everyone."
Kamui grabbed Kuma and dragged him to the door. When they stepped outside, they were surprised to see aliens walking down the street, beast people mixed with normal humans.
They both smiled and started laughing.
Kuma: "Hahahaha! Aliens and beast people living together with humans on the same planet."
Kamui: "Wow, even some wood is walking around here. Amazing!"
Some people felt awkward and stepped away from them. Others even crossed the street.
Kuma struck a few dramatic poses, completely ignoring the confused stares around him. Kamui looked at him for a moment, then decided to join in. They both looked like total maniacs.
Kuma: "We should use codenames or hero names. Mine will be Moista Fista!"
Kamui: "Okay! Mine will be Miss Killa!"
Kuma looked at her with a face that clearly said Are you serious?
Kuma: "I'm getting déjà vu. You should pick another one."
Kamui wasn't pleased, but before she could respond, a police officer approached them—the people had called him.
Police Officer: "Excuse me. I need to take you both to the police station."
Kuma and Kamui were shocked. They had never been arrested before. They bowed apologetically, but were still taken away in the police car.
Kuma: "So this is what a futuristic police car looks like. Way too advanced for me. Where's the cliché?"
Kamui and the police officer both laughed.
Kamui: "Maybe we'll get arrested by Jody. I'd like that."
The police officer looked into the rear-view mirror, his eyes widening.
Police Officer: "You know Jody Summers? From the Mobile Task Force?"
Kamui puffed out her chest and made a heroic pose.
Kamui: "Of course we do, and also—"
She was interrupted by Kuma, who coughed loudly. Kamui realized she almost said too much.
Kuma nodded calmly at the officer.
Kuma: "Could you bring us to the Mobile Task Force by any chance?"
The officer nodded but made it clear he would contact them first to make sure Kuma and Kamui weren't lying.
He activated a device on his wrist that looked like a ring. After fifteen seconds, John Tanaka appeared as a hologram. Kuma's eyes lit up.
Kuma: "No way… THE John Tanaka! Leader of the Mobile Task Force! This is the best day of my life! Heeellooo, Jooohn!"
Kuma leaned forward into the front seat, his face almost next to the officer's. The officer tried to push him back but failed. Tanaka dabbed his forehead with a tissue as usual.
Tanaka: "Oh my… oh my… Who are you, if I may ask? You seem to know me, but I don't know you."
Kuma shook his head, smiling widely.
Kuma: "You don't know me yet, but we'll talk. I'm a huge fan! Oh, almost forgot—I'm the legendary Moista Fista!"
Kamui leaned forward as well, much more politely.
Kamui: "And I am Shogun Frogun!"
Tanaka struggled not to laugh as he repeated the names in his head. His face became awkward when he fully realized how ridiculous they were.
Tanaka: "You should change your names… take better ones next time. Oh my… oh my…"
Kuma put a hand on his chin, thinking deeply.
Kuma: "How about Objection?"
Tanaka, the police officer, and Kamui burst out laughing.
Kamui: "Objection? Really? That's even dumber than mine. I have one too: Untouchable Kinetic Power Stroke!"
Now Kuma started laughing as well. Tanaka looked at them with disbelief as they kept inventing worse names instead of giving their real ones.
Tanaka stopped them before it got even more ridiculous. He wasn't angry—more amused by their boldness.
Tanaka: "I'll meet you in my office. Officer, bring them to the Mobile Task Force."
Kamui began to wiggle excitedly.
Kamui: "Jody, I'm coming… hehehe."
Tanaka, Kuma, and the police officer all turned to look at her.
Kuma: "Get your horny level under control."
Tanaka: "Is she always like that? Then I should warn Jody…"
Police Officer: "WTF…"
Tanaka ended the call, and the police car continued driving.
Kuma and Kamui sat quietly in the back, holding hands, observing the futuristic city around them.
After twenty minutes, they arrived at the Mobile Task Force building. It was huge.
Kuma jumped left and right, inspecting everything. Kamui did the same. Task Force employees awkwardly looked away as they posed dramatically at the entrance.
Kuma: "We should use slang like: Now there's trouble—make it double!"
Kamui: "To protect the world from devastation!"
They entered the building and told the receptionist that John Tanaka wanted to meet them. They were sent to the elevator and told to press the 70th floor button.
Inside the elevator, they noticed a massive screen.
Kuma: "Even the elevator has a TV."
Kamui: "The future is good… to all of us."
The elevator shot upward in seconds. Surprised, Kuma pressed the first-floor button again. They went down just as fast.
They repeated this several times like children playing with a toy.
When the doors finally opened on the 70th floor, Tanaka was already standing there, hand at his nose, clearly annoyed.
Next to him stood Jody Summers and Lucy Liberty.
Tanaka: "Do I want to know what took you so long?"
Kamui made an exaggerated giga-chad face when she saw Jody. Kuma pinched her side.
Kuma: "Prepare for trouble—"
Kamui: "Make it double!"
Kuma: "To protect the world from devastation—"
Kamui: "To unite all people in this nation!"
Kuma: "Sherlock!"
Kamui: "Holmes!"
Lucy clapped and smiled.
Lucy: "Are you two actors or comedians?"
Kuma placed his hands on his hips proudly.
Kuma: "Yes! We are the Galaxy Comedian Show-Offs!"
Kamui: "The best dramatic entrance makers there are!"
Tanaka sighed.
Jody: "What are your names?"
Kuma smirked.
Kuma: "My name is—"
Jody: "Your real names. No nicknames."
They sighed and finally gave their real names.
As they walked through the building, Kuma spotted Dr. Clash and rushed toward him.
Kuma: "Dr. Clash! I'm a huge fan of your F-Zero Glider!"
Dr. Clash turned around.
Dr. Clash: "You're not afraid of me? Interesting."
Kuma: "Of course not! Is EAD here too?"
Dr. Clash: "He's out at the moment."
Kuma bowed thankfully.
When he returned, Kamui was already all over Jody.
Kamui: "Please let me touch you—your hands, your face, even your boobs!"
Jody blinked.
Jody: "What… did you just say?"
A book suddenly hit Kamui on the head.
Kamui: "Ouch!"
Kuma sighed.
Kuma: "Sorry, Miss Summers. She's… special."
Tanaka silently observed, clearly not amused.
