While the Uchiha elders were still deep in discussion, Sarutobi Hiruzen had already descended into the underground Root base.
He came with a simple purpose:
to confront Danzo about why he had ordered Root operatives to frame Yagami.
But Danzo, as always, hid behind silence.
No matter how many questions Hiruzen asked, not a single clear explanation came from him.
Annoyed, Hiruzen finally scolded him outright.
After giving a stern warning — "Do not provoke Yagami again" — he turned and left the base without waiting for Danzo's response.
…
Three days passed after Yagami's fight with the seven Uchiha.
During these three days, every time he stepped outside, someone — familiar or not — would walk up to greet him with enthusiasm.
His prestige value shot upward.
Which made Yagami feel… a bit strange.
Whenever he stayed home, nothing happened.
No change in prestige.
But the moment he stepped outside, it climbed rapidly.
After consulting the system, he finally understood:
Prestige wasn't earned just by reputation.
People had to see his face, attach the name to the individual.
Without that, even admiration and gossip were like aimless butterflies — they never landed on him.
So for three straight days, Yagami walked around the village deliberately.
And the results spoke for themselves.
His prestige soared from 5,000 to nearly 8,000.
But because he was constantly out and about, the Uchiha Grand Elder had visited his home twice… only to find him gone each time, unable to deliver the apology he had promised the Hokage.
Knock, knock, knock.
Just as Yagami prepared to head out for another prestige-harvesting walk, someone knocked at his door.
"Who is it?" Yagami called, puzzled as he approached.
"Yagami-sensei, I've completed my recovery and was discharged from the hospital."
A respectful voice answered from outside.
"Kakashi?"
Yagami froze for half a second.
Right — he had taken Kakashi as a student… and then completely forgotten while he roamed the village farming prestige.
"Yagami-sensei! I came just as you instructed!"
As soon as the door opened, Kakashi bowed.
"Hey, hey — get up," Yagami said quickly. "No need to bow."
Teaching a student suddenly sounded like a lot of hassle…
But since he had accepted Kakashi, he would fulfill the role properly.
Besides… maybe the system would reward him for being a Sensei.
"Yes, Yagami-sensei!"
Kakashi straightened eagerly.
"Sensei, when do we start training?"
After three days trapped in the hospital, Kakashi looked ready to burst with energy.
"Let's start today," Yagami said after thinking for a moment.
He still planned to go out later to gather prestige, but since his student was already here, he'd give him a lesson first.
"Yes, Sensei!" Kakashi responded with excitement.
…
After closing the door behind them, Yagami led Kakashi toward the mountain overlooking Konoha.
Along the way, he thought about how to begin Kakashi's training—
"Yagami-sensei… should I buy a shinobi sword?"
Kakashi asked suddenly.
Yagami blinked, pulled out of his thoughts.
They were passing a weapons shop, its racks of blades glinting in the sunlight.
"You want to learn swordsmanship?" Yagami asked, surprised.
Kendo was not something learned lightly.
It required talent, patience, and years of intent-refinement — breaking through conceptual barriers as challenging as mastering an S-rank jutsu.
Many spent their entire lives without achieving true mastery.
But Kakashi's eyes — normally half-dead and indifferent — brimmed with a rare, burning expectation.
"Yes… is it possible?"
He couldn't stop replaying the moment Yagami cleaved through three Iwa shinobi with a single strike.
Seeing that power had ignited something in him.
"Possible," Yagami said seriously. "But Kendo isn't as easy as you think."
"Thank you, Yagami-sensei!"
Kakashi bowed again, trembling with excitement.
Another sigh…
Seeing Kakashi's enthusiasm, Yagami could only accept his choice.
If Kakashi turned out to lack talent later, he would simply redirect him toward ninjutsu.
"Sensei, I'll go in and buy a sword!"
Kakashi turned to rush into the shop — but Yagami stopped him.
"You don't need to buy one. Use this."
He pulled the ninja blade from his waist, reversed the grip, and handed it to Kakashi.
"I use this? What about your weapon?"
Kakashi asked, confused.
But before he finished speaking—
Yagami raised his hand.
In an instant, a beautifully crafted samurai sword appeared in his palm out of thin air.
"What were you saying?" Yagami asked casually.
He had just accessed his system's inventory and withdrawn it — too lazy to explain.
"…N-Nothing…" Kakashi murmured, stunned.
No hand seals.
No scroll.
No delay.
Just a weapon born from empty air.
Is this a space-time technique…?
Kakashi thought, eyes sparkling with awe.
And his admiration for his Sensei deepened once again.
