Chapter 14 - You got it wrong

If this place were not the Blood Moon Tower, Nedaric would probably have already thrown Negut down from here and shattered him into pieces.

But no matter how stupid Nedaric was, he still knew this was Blood Dragon Lilith's territory, so he could not act recklessly.

Nedaric's face twisted like he had just swallowed a fly, but he still forced out a fake smile. "You are overthinking things. I came here to discuss something with you."

"Ah!" Hearing that, Negut nodded and said with a smile, "If it is about Lilith, then you do not need to ask me, because I do not know much about her."

"No! No!" Nedaric laughed. "I know very well that Lilith does not like you. In the end, you are just a cripple. But I am not so cruel as to completely cut off all your paths of survival."

"My family also has a Guild, a very large one. If you are willing to transfer over and work for my Guild, I will give you ten times what Lilith has given you."

Hearing that, Negut's eye lit up like a pair of car headlights, and his face clearly showed his delight. "Are you serious?"

"Of course!" At this moment Nedaric was overjoyed. He had thought it would be difficult to trick Negut, but it seemed he had been overthinking it. No one could resist the temptation of money.

Negut did not want to stay here either. Although Lilith was very beautiful and often squeezed him dry like a lemon, this place was far too dangerous.

He did not know whether Lilith truly liked him or merely saw him as a tool to satisfy her desires.

On top of that, her complicated relationship with Nedaric's older brother and with Nedaric himself was a big question mark. He was just an ant standing between two elephants, no matter what he would get stepped on.

Most importantly, there were plenty of enemies around Lilith. If they decided to use him as her weakness, he would definitely die.

That was why, if he could get his hands on a large sum of money, he would of course leave this dangerous place.

"Good!" Feeling that his plan had succeeded, Nedaric immediately said, "Come with me."

"Wait! What if you are lying to me? I want the money first."

Hearing that, Nedaric almost lost control and threw Negut off the building on the spot. In the end, he managed to suppress the impulse and frowned. "Then… how much did Lilith give you?"

"Not much, only 1 million Energy Points. You said you would give me ten times what she did, so you can just transfer 10 million Energy Points to me directly." Negut said calmly.

"Hahaha…" Nedaric laughed loudly. "Just 10 million Energy Points, I thought it would be… wait!"

Nedaric suddenly realized something was wrong and hurriedly asked, "You said… how much did she give you?"

"One million Energy Points." Negut replied calmly. "That is just my monthly pocket money. I am already giving you a huge discount by only taking 10 million Energy Points."

Nedaric: "…"

At this moment, he truly wanted to tear Negut into a hundred pieces.

Damn it!

One million Energy Points was just pocket money, and he would even get another million every month. Was that something a human being was allowed to say?

Nedaric ground his teeth. "My friend, you cannot just lie like that. How could she possibly…"

He had not even finished speaking before he fell silent, because Negut had already shown him his bank account information.

Displayed on the screen was indeed the number 1,000,000. But it was not 1,000,000 Credit Points, it was 1,000,000 Energy Points.

Truly 1,000,000 Energy Points.

Nedaric's face twisted as he asked in disbelief, "This… this… she really gave you 1,000,000 Energy Points?"

Negut replied, "You got it wrong."

Hearing that, Nedaric let out a long sigh of relief. In his heart he thought there was no way Lilith would give Negut such a huge number of Energy Points.

How big was 1,000,000 Energy Points? It was enough that even the money Nedaric spent in a whole year would not exceed that number.

And who was Nedaric? He was the Young Master of a very wealthy family. That alone was enough to show how enormous 1,000,000 Energy Points was.

Negut added, "That is just my pocket money for this month. From now on, I will get another 1,000,000 every month."

Nedaric: "…"

Right now, he truly wanted to kill Negut.

Damn it! One million every month, that was 1,000,000 Energy Points. Nedaric really wanted to ask what this crippled bastard had over him to be able to receive such ridiculous benefits.

"What is wrong? You do not have enough money?" Seeing Nedaric's twisted expression, Negut frowned and asked, "If you do not have the money, then get out. Do not bother me."

Nedaric gritted his teeth, about to say something else when the door suddenly opened.

Crack!

"Ack!" Nedaric flinched, hurriedly fell to the floor and shouted, "Negut! I know you are jealous of me because I am close to Sister Lilith, but do you have to be so rough? I just wanted to talk to you a little, did you really need to push me down like this?"

He cried as he spoke, his expression incredibly pitiful.

Negut: "…"

He really wanted to say, my friend, do you honestly think a cripple like me could push down an Awakened like you? If you are going to act, at least try to make it believable.

At the door, Lilith and another woman stood there, watching Nedaric lying on the floor crying, their expressions gradually turning cold.

Nedaric pretended to be startled when he saw Lilith, hurriedly wiped his tears and said, "Sister Lilith, you… when did you get here? Please do not misunderstand, Negut did not do it on purpose, it is just… just…"

He spoke while biting his lip, looking as if he was enduring some great grievance.

Negut: "…"

Right now Negut really wanted to ask, are you actually a man?

What kind of man cries just because he fell down a little? The floor was even covered with a thick, soft carpet, even if you landed face first you could not possibly be in that much pain.

But when he saw Lilith walking toward him with a cold face, he felt a vague discomfort in his chest.

Negut cursed inwardly, why do I feel uncomfortable? Is it because I am being framed? It is fine, calm down. As long as she throws another black card at my face, I will gladly kneel and bow three times to her and that sissy over there, then hop out of here on one leg.

Come on, do it! Hurry up! Do not be lenient with me just because I am handsome. Throw the black card in my face, then scold me and tell me to get out of your sight.

Lilith frowned and said, "Which hand did you use to push him?"

Negut's face tightened and he thought, oy, are you planning to cut off my hand? Damn it, are you really that cruel? It is fine, calm down… she cannot be that cruel.

Even though he was being falsely accused, Negut was very happy to play the victim. He smiled arrogantly and raised his left hand. "This hand. So what, are you going to stand up for your little lover?"

Smash!

At that moment, Lilith grabbed his wrist, making him frown.

Although his expression remained very calm, inside he was furiously cursing Lilith. Damn it, damn it, damn it, you really are going to break my hand. Good thing I raised my left hand, if I had raised my right, how would I eat or brush my teeth?

Seeing this scene, Nedaric laughed inwardly, convinced that Lilith still cared more about him than about that crippled bastard.

Lilith frowned, stared at Negut, then took out a handkerchief from her pocket. While wiping his hand she said, "Next time, you are not allowed to touch him. What if he makes your hand dirty?"

Negut: "Heh?!"

Nedaric: "What?!"

When she finished wiping, she placed his hand on her beautiful face and smiled. "Your hand must not touch filthy things like him, it can only touch me."

Negut: "…"

Negut's face flushed red, and he thought, sweet… this is way too sweet. If it is this sweet, my kidneys will not be able to handle it.

Seeing this scene, Nedaric's face turned bright red with rage. He jumped to his feet. "Sister Lilith, I… he pushed me down, and you are not even going to care about me?"

Lilith frowned, her cold gaze fell on Nedaric, making him so scared he stepped back.

She said, "Nedaric, being pushed down by my man is an honor for you. If you were not so filthy, I would let him push you down a few more times."

Nedaric: "…"

"But…"

Nedaric was about to say something more when Lilith's voice cut him off. "For your brother's sake, I have allowed you to come and go in this building. But from now on, this place no longer welcomes you. You can walk out on your own, or I can throw you down from here."
